On nights like these Heidi just knew she had to go out. It was a starry night and the moon was also out, and for some reason this reminded her of the song stranger in Moscow by Michael Jackson. She wasn’t a big fan of him herself, to be honest she wasn’t really a big fan of anyone but she still liked his songs. She never liked hanging around in the castle with all the other members of the Volturi. It was just too annoying which made it hard to feel comfortable in her own home.
Not many street lights lit up the sky but the moon and the stars were enough. Also, Heidi always thought that the street lights were the worst part of the night next to drunk humans. She sighed as she walked down the dark street, swinging her bag but making sure it didn't hit her black dress. She knew that nobody would try to steal from her. She was part of the Volturi and as far as she knew, everybody was scared of them.
She came to the bar finally and hoped that it wasn't another one of those failed nights when they would get British strippers to dance. She entered and went to sit at a stall beside the bar, waiting to be served. The techno music irritated her but she tried hard to block it out and wait for a bar man or lady to serve in this house of bad service.
A barmaid finally came over to her and asked if she could help Heidi. "Um yes. I want a large vodka with ice too," she said before giving the young woman ten euros. "Keep the change if you may," she added before the woman went away. Heidi sighed with relief when she saw that it wasn't a strip night. To be honest, Heidi knew that she could do it better than the girls that came here, but of course she didn't.
Heidi rolled her finger around the rim of her glass before putting her finger in her mouth. For some reason she always thought it tasted better after she did this, since the most common thing she drank was blood but vodka came a close second. She hummed an unfamiliar song and drank the drink in her glass. "That was a waste of money," she said to herself. "Another!" she shouted and clicked for the barmaid to serve her. She enjoyed bossing about people who were lower than her.

Poison hadn’t been in the Guard long, but she knew that she was in the lower ranks. Though her power was greatly appreciated by Aro, and the others she still had to take orders from other people. She wasn’t use to that, and it irritated her greatly. She even had to listen to twelve year old, Jane and Alec. They were much older then her really though. She had only been a vampire for three months, and well it wasn’t going to so well for her. She was having a hard time adjusting to this type of life, she really did blame Nick for all of this. If he hadn’t left her that night she would have never ran away into woods full of hungry vampires. Whatever, that was months ago, and now she was a new person. Though she had yet to find her son, but she would eventually. She walked around her new home, not many vampires took kindly to her. She just thought they were jealous of her, and how much Aro had taken to her. She tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, and went to her chambers.
She changed into a sleek red dress, and a pair of heels. She was going out to the bar tonight. She hadn’t drank since Trace had gone missing. She let her hair down from the ponytail it had been in, and let the brown ringlets fall to her shoulder. She went out of the building, and towards the bar. She knew that people stared at her, but it didn't bother her. She only wanted to find what was most important to her. Trace.
When she came into the bar, she could smell Heidi. A vampire who was part of the Volturi. She walked over to where the vampriess sat, they got along sort of. It wasn't like besties or whatever."Hello Heidi."

Heidi was upset that she couldn't get drunk on the shots that she was taking. She had already had 6 and was aiming for ten. To her it was no big deal but she knew that others would think her an alcolholic if they knew that she drank at least two bottles of vodka a day, but she never actually got drunk, since alcohol was something she drank when she wasn't too thirsty for blood which wasn't many times. The rest of the time she drank was when she was bored or stressed or just angry at everyone. She gulped down her drink and closed her eyes so she could block out the music better, since she wasn't doing a very good job with her eyes open.
She finally gave up and listened to the funky tune that was blasting out of the jukebox. Still keeping her eyes closed, she tried to hum along with the tune, failing miserably. She really did need someone to laugh at her when she did something wrong. It would be a good sound to hear apart from her own voice. She laughed at herself for a little while but it didn't work and the music was so loud that even with her good hearing she could hardly hear herself over it.
Heidi was slightly startled when she heard a woman say hello to her. If she wasn't mistaken, she would have guessed that it was Poison Hamilton, a fellow member of the Volturi who was lower than her in the rankings. But apart from that she did kind of like Poison and part of that was the fact that she liked her name. Even though she was a new vampire, Heidi knew that Poison was coping well and that showed that she was very strong and Heidi had respect for people like that.
"Hey Poison," she said and smiled slightly. She wasn't really used to being nice to people so she wasn't really sure if that was the right way to put the sentence. Either way she was sure that Poison would catch on to what she was trying to say. "Take a seat," she said, gesturing at the chair. She didn't know if she should ask Poison whether she wanted a drink or not but decided to do it after she actually sat down.

Poison knew that Heidi wasn't the nicest person in the world, but the vampire had her moments. Maybe tonight was one of those moments. The thing about Heidi was that she was so unpredictable, but thank god for Poison's prediction making, right? Okay, maybe not right, but somewhere around there. She could make predictions, but they came and went as tehy pleased, so she would just have to bare with whatever Heidi threw at her. Poison sat down across from the vampire, and smiled up at her, this should be very interesting. "Thank you Heidi." She was being extra nice today. At least the girl was trying.
Heidi seemed really nice. When she wanted to be anyways. Poison ordered her usual, a warm beer. If only she could wash away her sorrows with the beer like humans could. Damn the vampire that turned her that fateful night. then again she did pin some of the blame on to Nick, he had left her in that damn forrest by herself. She did the onlything logical. She followed him, but noooo he had to be too fast for her. She hadn't seen him since, and she didn't plan to see him either. If she saw him she would probably try and kill him. He left her broken into so many pieces.
"So, how has your evening been?" Poison asked, turning her mind back to the present. She really needed to learn how to control her m ind, and when it wandered. Guess that came with the whole being a newborn thing. Their minds got distracted easily.
