The night was young and so was Lexi. Then again, she’d be forever young, wouldn’t she? She wasn’t quite sure how she felt about that issue. It kinda sucked because that meant all of her friends and family would just die and eventually she would be all alone. She frowned as she thought about this, just running around the forest. She had unspeakable amounts of energy at the moment, having just fed to her heart’s content an hour ago. She had been down in Seattle and there was some sort of shooting between drug dealers or what not. She wasn’t quite sure what the heck was going on, but she knew none of those men were good people. So, she had a lovely little dinner. It pissed her off that she had to eat from humans, or animals really. But she refused to eat from innocent animals, and instead only hunted bad people. She knew she was playing God and she didn’t like it, but she also didn’t want to go on a wild rampage from hunger.
There was a bunny up ahead and Lexi happily wandered over to it. Quickly she scooped it up before it could run away from her. The poor thing shivered in her arms, frightened. Lexi sighed and stroked it’s head softly. ”It’s okay, Mr. Rabbit. I won’t hurt you,” she whispered softly to the bouncy creature. Of course, it wasn’t bouncing at the present point in time, but generally it did. After a few minutes the animal calmed down a bit, though she could tell it would rather be on the ground. With a little smile she set the bunny down on the ground and it hopped away with all it’s might. Lexi kinda wished she could talk to all animals, not just cats. It would be rather interesting, though she might get a headache from all the chatter. But hey, if humans had no interesting conversation topics, then she could just go bug some sort of animal. Plus, she wondered what they thought of. For now, she would settle with being able to hear felines.
The moon was hidden behind clouds, but it wasn’t too dark yet. She could see everything no matter what time of day it was, but humans couldn’t. However, they could probably see now, unless they had really shitty vision. Lexi’s little dress swished lightly as she walked and she was thankful for her leggings when the breeze happened to pick up. Her bare feet hit the ground with almost no sound, thanks to her newfound gracefulness. That was one of the great things about being a vampire; she was virtually never a spaz anymore. Life before was so dangerous and she was always getting herself into trouble. But now? Well, she was still getting herself into trouble, but she never got hurt or ran into things as often as before. There were a few times were even she as a vampire ran into things and got distracted, but that was more likely a flaw in her vampiness.

Not going to run from her she might kill me
Chance plus girls was not a good mix. He had come to the mall to simply find some new clothes, and what does he get? A huge crowd of human girls gawking at him like he was a piece of meat. Chance Wood was not a piece of meat, and he sure in hell wasn’t interested in any of those girls. They just weren’t his type, now his type of girl was Caddie, though she had yet to realize it. She would in due time though, just wait, she would realize that he was a great guy, and that she was in love with him. Yeah right, he didn’t have that kind of luck. For all he knew she had already found a better, smarter, handsomer vampire then him, and was out hunting with him. Oh, that thought made Chance growl. He ran at human speed to the double doors of the mall trying to avoid any type of contact with the human girls that continued to follow him everywhere, and pushed his way out of the mall. Now where did he park that darn car? Oh screw it, he would come back for it later tonight, plus if he didn’t leave this damn mall he knew he was going to attack one of the humans, he just knew it. You could only push a vampire so far until they finally snapped. He could easily lure one of the girls with him, and bring her out to the- No! Bad Chance. You know better then to think of those kinds of thoughts, they aren’t very nice at all. Though he had read the thoughts of one of the more scarier girls, and he knew that what she wanted to do with him wasn’t very nice either. It involved chains, and a whip. Oh no! Run Chance run, that’s what was going on through his head.
And that’s what this poor vampire boy did because he saw that scary girl coming through the double doors. Ah! She had handcuffs! Chance darted through the mall parking lot, and tried to find his car at the same time. He had half a mind to just take off with full speed, and make his way to the mountains like he had planned to do. Who needed a car right? He was a vampire for Santa’s sake. Did he just think the word Santa? Obviously he did, and it was quite scary, but not as scary as the girl with handcuffs, and that meant it was his cue to leave immediately. He darted behind a building so she couldn’t see him, and if he had analyzed this right it would take her about three minutes to get here from the time he ran behind the building, and about one minutes to be so far away from the building she would be clueless on to what happened to him. Okay, so that took him a minute to figure out, so he now only had two minutes to leave or be handcuffed. He darted away so fast it scared him for a minute. His dark hair blew all over his face, and made it hard for him to see where he was going. Thank Jesus for his vampire abilities, and such. He made his way to the forest, yes he needed to get there before he could get the mountains. He let the breeze go through his hair, and let every vampire instinct take over so he could hunt since his eyes were almost black. He stopped for a moment, and watched as his skin glittered from the sun going down, it was quite fascinating the way it happened. Though many would say it seemed gay, Chance thought it was interesting to watch, and wondered how it always happened.
Going back to what he was doing. Hunting, ah yes the fine art of finding and catching the prey. It could be fun sometimes, though he did feel guilty for killing the animals, but it was better then killing humans right? He use to feed on humans, but it was hard having to hear what went on in their head. Like, why is this happening to me? It was hard to have to listen to, and really he didn’t want people to suffer the agony his family went through. He ran through the woods trying to find elk or something to feed off of, but they seemed to be hiding from him. Oh elk, come here my tasty friend. He thought to himself, why was he talking to himself, that wasn’t something he did often. It scared him some times, like who seriously thinks elks are tasty? Finally he found a herd of elk, and made his way to them. He pounced like a kitty cat, and drank from them. Ah, how lovely it was when his eyes weren’t pitch black but a nice golden color. It made him feel hyper when he feeds. He ran off towards the mountains to see if he could have fun there. He was really wanting some alone time, but he just never seemed to be getting that. He slowed his pace, why rush right? He had all the time in the world, and there was no need to rush everything all the time. He walked through the forest, and that’s when he saw a little bunny hop away like there was no tomorrow. He went a few feet more that’s when he smelled her. He knew that scent, it was a familiar scent, a scent that he hadn’t sniffed in a long time. It was the girl that had gotten him in trouble before, Lexi Walton.
He walked around the land for a while trying to find. He could hear her voice in his head, which was kind of annoying. He didn’t like being a peeping tom, it made him feel dirty. He finally spotted her, but he didn’t think she had noticed him yet. So he leaned against a tree, and watched her for a few moments. Yes, she made him nervous. Wait, make that very nervous. Well of course Chance was nervous around every girl, especially vampire girls, they could actually kill him. He debated on clearing his throat, and getting her attention. Did he really want to talk to her? It had been a few years since he had last talked to her, and she seemed very distracted by something. Oh wait she was thinking about how she still ran into things as a vampire. He chuckled at that thought, and decided to clear his throat after a few minutes of debating it. Chance cleared his throat, and said, “If you concentrate hard enough you won’t run into anything, but knowing you that might be harder then it sounds.” He smiled at her, he was usually quiet around girls, but he felt very comfortable around Lexi, that was unless she was getting him into trouble. Then he became rather quiet, and shy.

There were many things that had happened over the course of the past few weeks that had pretty much given Lexi’s life a 180. Now, if you rewind back to a few months ago, you could say that she had events that were even more life changing. She supposed this was true, but in the terms of now, her life, or not so life, was changing even more. After Edison left her with Penelope, life had pretty much sucked. Don’t get her wrong; she loved her child, but her heart was kind of horribly crushed into two. It was hard enough to control her hunger, though it seemed that Edison left just when he thought her control was good enough. Bastard. So, with both Loki and Edison out of her life, she was left depressed, thirsting for blood, and with child. Lexi was just about the least maternal person in the world. She had no clue how to raise a kid. She still hadn’t told her parents that she had said kid. The only person that knew her beforehand that she actually told was her sister, but she had sworn her to secrecy about everything. Then of course Jacob just happened to pop into her life. Sure, he was great in bed and fun to tease (though he was a pompous asshole) but it wasn’t as if she wanted him to stick around and help her with Penny. God no. He was the last person that should be raising a kid. Of course, so was she, but she couldn’t really help that, now could she? Nope, therefor she had to protect Penelope from the bad people of the world. But what happened when she was one of the people that her own child should be protected against? She didn’t know, but it sucked.
What had more so recently shaken her was the arrival of Griffin into her not-so-life. He was great, but it was hard on Lexi because she ate people. If she had her way, she would be eating cupcakes and mac’n’cheese for the rest of her years, but apparently being a vampire did not quite work that way, unfortunately. The blood she thirsted for was of the human variety, for the most simple of reasons. She thought hunting animals was cruel and wrong. As a human she had been a vegetarian, so oddly becoming a cannibal was the wiser choice than eating animals. Now, if you put it like that, it sounded wrong. But if you put it the way Lexi saw it, it was right. After all, some humans were terrible, terrible creatures. She could either kill an innocent animal that had no way whatsoever to defend itself, or she could go kill a person that had killed people or raped being, or other such things. She thought it was better to kill the person, though she disliked playing God. But either way, she was playing God, wasn’t she? But if she was forced to do that, she was going to do it in the way that she thought was more correct and more morally right. But unfortunately, that also meant that she was used to the taste of human blood. Now, she made a promise to herself, and the humans technically, that she would never drink the blood of an innocent. Griffin was an innocent. However, she had never met a human whose blood was calling out to her so strongly. It was as if every second that passed was time she could be spending drinking his blood. But no matter how much she wanted his blood, no matter how many people she was willing to give up, she just couldn’t bring herself to hurt him. It was just wrong, and for once it wasn’t just because he was an innocent. Sure, it had something to do with that, but something deep inside of Lexi told her it wasn’t just that.
As her feet gracefully stepped against the floor of the forest, she mulled over everything in her head. There was soooo much damn stuff to think about, too. She was fairly certain that everything was so much easier before she met Edison. Maybe everything that happened was all his fault. She knew that this wasn’t true, but it was nice to throw the blame on someone other than herself. Though, no real blame could really be placed on her. She didn’t ask to get knocked up by a vampire, she didn’t ask to have some hybrid kid, and she didn’t ask to be changed into a vampire by some sadistic guy. Life, or non-life, just sucked, didn’t it? You can pardon the pun if you want. It’s indifferent. Lexi sighed heavily and was so lost in thought that she didn’t notice someone come closer to her. Normally she picked up on these things, but the first time she noticed the person was when they spoke. The second she heard the voice, she got so distracted that she did in fact end up running into the tree. She blinked at it, seeing the faint imprint of her tiny body in the bark, and then looked at him. Ohhhh. Chance. Haha, he was never the most pleased with her. She could be a tease, and not all boys were extremely fond of that. Ooops. ”You always did just say the randomest things as an excuse to talk to me,” she said as she walked closer to him. The breeze picked up, and she noticed his scent. She had forgotten the colour of his eyes, but upon seeing that they were a soft gold, her own red ones faded to a much, much darker burgundy. She swatted his arm with a bit too much of her newborn strength and crossed her arms in front of her chest. ”Dude, what the hell? Forget to tell me something a few years ago?” Since when the hell was he a vampire?
Lexi looked at him and pouted. Of course she wasn’t actually mad, just rather displeased. Lexi always had been a rather oblivious human. Then again, she was a rather oblivious vampire. She looked at him for a moment, her bare feet against the earth, her dress swishing in the wind. She dropped an arm to her side and lifted the other hand up to let a finger brush down his cheekbone. ”Miss me?” she grinned. Oh, she was rather enthralled with Griffin, but it didn’t mean she couldn’t play with Chance. There was nothing actually going on between her and Griffin. Yet. It wouldn’t be long, if she could help it. But she was going to tease Chance. That’s what he got for keeping a big massive secret away from her. ”I bet you did,” she said, going up on her tippy toes to whisper it softly in his ear. Would he squirm? Oh, she wondered. She loved making boys squirm. Her effects on them were rather amusing. At least, she thought so. They didn’t always think on the same page as her, however, which kind of sucked, but was also kind of amusing. ”Didn’t anyone ever tell you that being a stalker isn’t very flattering?” she teased him. Naw, she didn’t think he had followed her for the past few years. But it was amusing to bug him about it, and therefore she would. She wondered just how much he kept from her. Probably a lot. He always did seem a bit annoyed by her. Of course, Lexi hadn’t a clue why.

Not going to run from her she might kill me
Chance glanced around, he decided it was time to pick through her mind, and see what she had been up the past few years. So it had been pretty boring, yes he got that. Okay, Miss Lexi’s mind was becoming very boring. Wait, what was this? Lexi had a kid? A hybrid child at that? Oh wow, that was a shock, she just didn’t seem like the type of person to have a kid, not that she couldn’t. Then he picked up on some guys that she had been interested in, there was a Jacob, and a Griffin. One vampire the other human, and she apparently had never smelled blood so yummy before. And now she was thinking about cupcakes, and then it went to his voice. Ha-ha, there was a body imprint of her on the tree, that poor, poor tree. What had it ever done to her? Besides stand in her way, but that tree had no control over that what so ever. Chance glanced at her, and then the tree. It was very true he said the randomness things, but to talk to her. It was just chance that she happen to be there, and he happen to see her, more like hear her. Okay, so maybe he fibbed a bit at that part. He-he, not like he wanted to fib, it just happened sometimes. Why is he thinking about that kind thing? Fibbing, really? What had this world come to? But no one could lie to him, for he knew everything! Well, everything in side their head. “Well, you always stopped to listen to me if I am correct.” He told her in a matter of fact voice. It was true, she did stop to listen every time he said something. He rubbed the spot where she had swatted him. Damn her newborn strength. He growled at her, wow he had really just growled at her.
He had never growled at anyone let alone a girl. “I couldn’t tell you. Plus you scared me too much.” He said looking away. It was one thing to be scared of a girl, but Lexi was a whole other story. She had been a scary little human girl, and now she was a scary little vampire girl. “I’ve been a vampire for one hundred and twenty years Lexi. I met you while passing through the little town. But I’m back now.” He said after reading her thoughts. Oh dear, she didn’t know that he read thoughts. Well, she did now. Chance watched as she dropped one hand, and the other touched his cheekbone. He looked over to her hand, and crossed his arms. He laughed slightly, and said, “Of course I did.” He may have been scared of her, but she was a good girl. At times. He watched as she went up to her tip toes to whisper in his ear. He closed his eyes, and smiled. “Oh, you know I figured that you need a stalker, you seemed really lonely.” He told her. He wouldn’t really know, he had been so busy with his own life to follow her. Not that he wouldn’t have followed her, he just hadn’t had the time. “But you like me being you stalker, don you?” He asked her, hey if she wanted to tease, two could play that game easily. He stepped closer to her, and smiled down at her. It was quite sad that she was that short. He bushed his hand against her cheek, and smiled. “I know I missed you, but I bet you missed me too.” He chuckled, and stepped back away from her.
“Griffin is never going to go for you if you keep messing with my heart, Lexi.” He told her smiling. He winked at her, but he knew that he liked Caddie. “Sorry Lex, it just wouldn’t have worked out between us.” He frowned for a moment, he had never actually thought of her as girlfriend material. He didn’t think he could handle it, she was just so, so, Lexi.

”Well of course,” she said. ”If you take the time to think of something stupid to say, I might as well listen. Otherwise I might be a bit rude, and we wouldn’t want that,” she pointed out. Plus, what with her short attention span, the second someone said something new, her focus would go to that. The downside to that was it could easily drift away. Oh well. Life was too short to be focused on one thing. Wait, that didn’t really apply to her anymore, did it? Huh. Lexi, looked at him, her burgundy eyes widening slightly. ”Did you just growl at me? You stupid moo,” she said, swatting him again. ”You’re not supposed to go around growling at women. You never know when you’re gonna get a kick to the nads that way,” she said. What with her strength, she figured if she were to kick him in the nads, it would hurt beyond reason. Which is why he should be nice to her. Haha. Fail. Lexi rolled her eyes at Chance. ”There’s a difference between not being able to get the words past your lips, and not wanting to tell me. You suck,” she pouted. Lexi was rather displeased that he left her out of the loop. Being in the loop was always much more exciting. But now she was, apparently. Lexi laughed out loud and looked at him with some surprise. ”Scared you? How the hell did little old me scare you? Normally I get a different reaction from men,” she said.
”Holy shit man, you’re old,” she said. Wait was Jacob older? Did she have a thing for older men? Naw, considering she didn’t have a thing for Chance. She just like to bug him and occasionally get him into predicaments. Wasn’t her fault he couldn’t get himself out of them. Lexi paused for a moment, then looked at him. ”Shit dude, did you just read my mind? Darnit, all I can do is talk to cats,” she said. Or any feline really. She should go to the jungle; that would be intense. But she didn’t think Poppy would like that very much. Lexi liked the fact that he still watched her movements; she liked it when she had peoples’ attention. Then again, no one else was in the woods with them, so it’s not like someone else could distract him. Though if someone randomly did come into the woods, she could see how that might be a bit distracting. ”Good,” Lexi smiled happily. She liked to know that people did like her enough to miss her. It made her feel all warm and happy on the inside. ”I think I’d be equally lonely with or without a stalker,” she laughed. ”It only makes you less lonely if you actually know the person is there,” she pointed out, somewhat amused. At least the boy could still joke. ”I don’t know. I think it’s overrated. Last time I had a stalker, I ended up being turned into a vampire. Obviously they do more harm than good,” she shrugged.
Lexi laughed and rolled her eyes. It only worked if one of them was egotistical. Cause otherwise you ended up with a situation like Jacob and Lexi, and then…interesting…things happened. ”Sure, I missed you lots and lots,” she grinned. Sure, she missed him like a friend. Just not anything else haha. ”Aww, he loves me, just hasn’t admitted it to himself yet,” she said. Ahh, Griffin. The scrumptious boy that seemed to be on her mind lately. ”Besides, sorry honey, I ain’t going for you. I’m just playing,” she said with a smile. ”I’m allowed to play, nothing wrong with that. He just might go for me if I actually do anything. So I won’t. Haha, sucks to be you. Cause I’ve been told I am pretty damn fantastical, if you know what I mean,” she said with a giggle and a wink. Lexi scoffed and couldn’t help but roll her eyes again. It seemed like a common pattern. ”If I thought, or hoped for that matter, that every boy or girl I teased would work out with me, I would be one sad, heartbroken little girl.” Well, she was sad, and she was heartbroken, but that was for different reasons. ”Would you even have been able to keep up with me?” she asked after a moment of thought, not to mention with a grin on her face. She always did think that she was a bit much for Chance.

Chance chuckled when she said something about him growling at her. “I’m not a cow Lexi, clearly. And would you please stop swatting at me. I only growled because I can’t hit back, I’m a gentleman.” He told her. He looked at her, and almost doubled over in laughter. “Lexi, dear, I’m a vampire, I really not have any use for them anyways. Not like I’m going to reproduce with it.” He mumbled under his breath, though he knew she could clearly hear him because of her heightened senses. Sure, it would still hurt seeing as though she was still a newborn, and all. They had strength beyond belief, and well, sometimes they went crazy. Like Lexi needed to be anymore crazier then what she already was. “At least I didn’t try and bite you or something, though I’m not sure you would taste very good now that you’re a vampire, and all. Now when you were human you had a very nice smell to you, but not too sweet. You had a little tint of something sour in your blood.” He told her smiling at her.. His golden eyes met hers for a quick second, but to him it felt like years, so much in that mind of hers, but so little time. He looked down to the ground, and saw all the little details of the ground. Every piece of dirt, every bug. “Well, Lexi I prefer to keep the fact that I’m a vampire away from the fragile minds of humans, they tend to overact about certain things.” He said rolling his golden eyes right back at her. He smiled slyly at her, and just shook his head.
“Thank you Lexi, I take that as a compliment. I have obtained much knowledge from my time living among humans. They are very intelligent, but very naïve.” He said letting his mind wander over to how humans could miss the obvious. He glanced back at her, and smiled. “Yes, I did just read your mind. Be lucky, many vampires go on centuries not having any sort of extra ability. You could help cure dieses for cats.” Chance listened to her as she talked about stalkers, she obviously knew about stalkers very well. “Well, that is really unfortunate for you, I’ve had plenty of stalkers in my time, and frankly I like them. They are very entertaining.” He said chuckling. He hadn’t had a stalker in years, but that’s because he didn’t stay in one place for long really. “Lonely is such a horrible word to use, your not lonely. You chose to be this way, seclude yourself from the human world. You just have to find the right group of vampires to go with if you really want to think about not being lonely.” He said pushing his hair out of his face, he sure in hell didn’t seem like the intelligent type. Long hair, gage ears, he looked like the teenagers of this time. Which he should since he was trying to fit in with today’s crowd. He did a pretty good job at it for the most part. “Vampire, well, I’m sorry that you were turned. Should have stalked you better.” He said laughing.
Chance smiled down at her. “Oh, I’m sure he loves you.”He told her with a pat on the shoulder. She deserved someone good for her, even if it was a human. She could change him when they were ready. If that’s what he wanted. He laughed, and said, “That’s too bad. But I have my eyes set on someone else too my dear Lexi.” He grinned at her, they had their moments. Chance shook his head, and said, “Nope, I know I can’t. I barely can now, it will take a special person to do such a thing.” He told her nodding his head.

Lexi rolled her eyes and refrained from laughing. Apparently his sense of humour was back from whenever the hell he was actually still a human. Wasn’t that just about as boring as a fat man in an undershirt? Lexi blinked at him, somewhat surprised at what she just heard. ”Just because you’re a vampire doesn’t mean you can’t get it on. I for one would know that,” she said. ”Damn, have you not gotten laid since you were a human? No wonder you’re so grumpy half the time,” she half teased, half was serious. Tsk tsk. He was more clueless than he was at the time. She stuck her tongue out at him and grinned. ”I’m sure I taste very delicious. You just might break your teeth trying to break through my skin, that’s all,” she joked. That would suck. You go for a bite of something and then all of a sudden it’s like OH SHIT WHERE’D MY TEETH GO? She gave him a scrunched up sour face look, a mocking one of course, and wanted to kick him in the nads, though she knew he was teasing. Still the thought was there. ”Maybe you just suck at being a vampire, considering I know several that would have liked to take a bite outta me. One did, obviously,” she said. Apparently Chance was outnumbered by male vampires that found her to be delicious. Meh.
”Oh please, it’s not just a human thing. No matter what the species, anything overacts. Even cats,” she nodded truthfully. Poor Kitty, so nervous sometimes. Alexandria rolled her eyes right back at him, though have no clue what the hell that weird little smile of his was all about. Whatever, he was weird, but she liked weird, so it worked out for him. ”Hunny I think you’re naive,” she said placing a hand on her hip and looking at him. ”You talk like an old fart from way back, but if I do recall old people tend to forget things. And you can’t feed me that line that vampires don’t forget things. Maybe I should knock you down a couple pegs, cause darling you seem to think you know more than you actually do,” she said with a little mischievous grin. Devilish, one could describe it as. Oh, there were so many things she knew this boy did not know, but whether or not he would admit to this fact she did not know. Lexi scoffed and looked at him like he was crazy. ”Oh please, you knew me when I was in highschool. It’s a miracle I’m still not in highschool. The most I could do for my kitties is give them whatever they want. I could cure a kitty cold, and that’s about it,” she said. Science was nasty. She preferred to work at the vintage store. ”How are they possibly entertaining?” she asked him, unable to fathom how a stalker would be fun.
She sighed and looked up at Chance. ”Look at my eyes. Does it look like I separate myself from the humans? No. I just happen to have a daughter that needs taking care of and a thirst that sometimes ruins my dinner dates,” she said. Though thankfully she’d never killed one of her dates. She wasn’t planning on it either. She scrunched up her nose and shook her head. ”Vampires are overrated. They think they know everything,” she said, cocking an eyebrow at him. Lexi briefly wondered about what he said. ”Got no clue if that’s sarcasm or not, but thank you,” she said, this time looking down. That’s all she wanted. Someone that wanted to love her, not use her. She had enough of that. ”Oh really? Do tell,” she said. There was nothing she loved more than a good cupcake, a good fuzzy housecoat, and some good love life info. Unfortunately, her stupid vampire taste buds did not like cupcakes anymore. Fuck that. Regardless, she wasn’t going to stop pestering him til he told her about this mystery person. ”Hmm, well, at least you admit it. Yeah, no kidding. I think it would take Superman, but I hear he’s busy with that chick of his anyways. Plus I’ve never had a thing for men in tights. Please, give me some mystery. I don’t need to see everything vacuum packed,” she said. Chance couldn’t keep up with her and half the guys, probably more, in town couldn’t keep up with her. But she didn’t care. As long as Griffin could keep up with her, she’d be happy.

Chance laughed at her, and said, “I’m still a virgin, both human and vampire. I was waiting for the right person, then I got turned. So I died a virgin, and came back as one.” He looked down to the ground, wow that sounded really bad. He had been around for one-hundred and twenty-seven years, and he still hadn’t gotten laid. He wasn’t ashamed of it, it was just weird. Everyone had someone, and he had always been alone, no matter what he did. It’s not like he hadn’t tried to find someone over the years, it’s just they didn’t fit with him. Chance laughed again, and said, “Yeah, when you were human. You had a tasty smell.” He smiled, it was true she had a great smell when she was human, it was sweet and sour. Like the chicken, but better because Chance didn’t like chicken. I was the sauce you put on the chicken. Oh yes, very yummy. Oh gosh, Chance Wood just thought that Lexi was yummy! Yes, but only when she was human, and plus he has gotten his thirst under control over the years, sure he still had trouble, but hey, what vamp didn’t? “Me, suck at being a vampire? I never said I didn’t want to take a bite out of you, I just don’t want to now. You don’t smell as good as you did when you were a human.” He told her, gosh she was so slow sometimes.
He couldn’t deny that fact, everyone overacts, even he did at times. Though he tried not to show it, but sometimes it hard to not show it. Chance looked at her amused, and said, “I know I’m naïve, I never denied that fact. But you see I’m not afraid to admit that, but humans, they don’t like admitting things to themselves. And yes, I forget things all the time thank you very much. My memory isn’t the best, and neither is yours.” He said pointing a finger at her, gosh she was being a smartass today. He did nothing to her, and yet she was being so mean. He rolled his eyes at her, little did she know about him. “Well, maybe you should have paid more attention, and you wouldn’t feel so dumb.” Wow, that sounded kind of mean, didn’t it? He sighed, whatever he wasn’t taking it back. He just didn’t feel like making the words move to his lips, he usually wasn’t this mean to people, but sometimes it just spilled over and well here ya go. You got a mean Chance, and he wasn’t very nice when he was mean. Well no one was nice when they are being mean. “Well, they just are. To me, they seem just so fascinating.” he told her, he started to pace back and forth.
He glanced at her eyes, she was right she had the burgundy eyes of a vampire who fed off of humans. True golden eyed vamps had a different scent then burgundy, but they were basically the same. He chuckled at her, and said, “Well, I’m sorry you feel that way Lexi.” He smiled at her, yes he was sorry that she was turned. He hated that people got turned into something they didn’t want to be. He didn’t want to be a vampire either, but he lived with it. “It wasn’t sarcasm, I was being sincere.” He stated. Gosh she was so out of it sometimes. He looked at her like she was crazy, like he was going to tell her who he liked. Pshh, he wasn’t stupid. He knew that girls liked to talk, and he didn’t know if Caddie and Lexi knew each other. Oh well, he was pretty sure Caddie knew anyways. “Her name is Caddie, and she is a golden eyed vamp. Met her while looking for some camping things, and we hit it off.” he told her plain and simple. He wasn’t going into details, nope.
Chance laughed at her comment about Superman, she would, of course, find something bad to say about superman. The most classic super hero, and she could still find something to bash him about. What kind of girl was Lexi? Not a normal one, that’s for sure. She wasn’t like the human girls who swooned over Clark Kent, or Bruce Wayne. She was the one who swooned over cupcakes. “Vacuum packed? Really Lexi?” He asked her, was she serious? He chuckled at her thoughts. “I have no doubt that he’ll be able to keep up with you. I hope you two are very happy.” He told her.

”Oh my Lordie, are you a Mormom?” she asked, somewhat surprised. No, she wasn’t surprised that he was a virgin, considering there were plenty of virgins floating around. She wasn’t one of them, but that was besides the point. She was surprised because he was…you know, old. ”Hunny I think you better find the right person soon. You might find that I’m a lot less annoying when you’re a lot less tense,” she said with a grin. Hey, if you get sexually frustrated, then you just get generally frustrated. Maybe if he got laid he’d be much more calm, more aloof, and be able to handle Lexi’s shenanigans. Then again, it was Lexi they were talking about, and it took special people to handle her fun and games. Otherwise, you were pretty much screwed. Lexi grinned and laughed. ”Well smelling like blood, vanilla, and sugar is probably very appetizing,” she laughed. Ahh, vanilla and sugar perfume. That shit was the best, except she could barely put a drop on herself now without it being too strong. ”You certainly know how to flatter a girl,” she laughed and patted his shoulder. ”Well, I’m sure you were tastier smelling as a human.”
”Yeah, but also never not denied it,” she said, looking up at a tree as she thought. She liked trees. Perhaps she would climb it. Would Chance see that as weird? Probably, but frankly she liked trees almost as much as she liked people. Lexi shrugged and looked from a distance at the little bugs that crawled on the cracks of the tree. ”It’s because a lot of people don’t want to admit they’re flawed. Frankly I always admitted things to myself, and to other people. Why hide the truth? I mean, sure, obviously there are some things you can’t tell people, but don’t lie to yourself,” she half said half mumbled. Alexandria rolled her burgundy eyes and looked at him with a bit of a sly grin. ”Human or not, I will always lose my car keys and lose every single pair of socks to the drier,” she replied. Lexi was the queen of misplacing things, so no surprise there. It was just a surprise that she hadn’t misplaced her baby yet. ”Oh, I don’t feel dumb. You think I’m dumb. I just can’t stand boring things that will help me get nowhere in life,” she replied. She detested when people called her stupid. Just because she didn’t get straight A’s didn’t mean she was an idiot. She had a job and a good one at that, and she could keep her daughter safe.
”Do you stalk your stalkers?” Lexi asked, bemused. That sounded like a good idea, actually. Get some sicko human to stalk you, then you could stalk them in return, and then BAM dinner time. Of course Chance was vegetarian so she wasn’t exactly going to suggest that, but it seemed like a decent idea for the burgundy eyed one out of the two of them. Lexi shrugged. She wasn’t really sorry for much in life, or her non-life as she now saw it. Things were what they were, and she couldn’t go back and change anything. Even if she could, she probably wouldn’t. At least, she’d make sure she could keep her daughter. That’s all that really mattered to her at this point in her non-life. ”Oh, well that’s nice too then,” she smiled. Good. She secretly wanted Griffin to eventually be in love with her. She was completely addicted to him, partially because of his scent, partially just because of him. What wasn’t to love about that boy? Lexi cocked an eyebrow at Chance’s look. ”Darling I ain’t crazy; just nosy.” Please, she hadn’t seen him in awhile. She was lacking her snooping in Chance’s life time.
Lexi smirked, quite pleased. ”So Mr. Iceman has fallen for the girl of his dreams? That’s cute,” Lexi said, geniunly pleased that Chance had fond someone he was happy with. She just had an odd way of showing it. ”Tell me about her,” she further pried with a smile on her face. She liked to hear when other people were happy; it made her happy. ”Oh please, you can’t honestly look at those men in tights and not be thinking the same thing. Whoever thought that was attractive is seriously mistaken,” she said. Sometimes men needed to learn a little thing called mystery. ”Well thank you,” she said with a smile. ”I’ll be stalking you to make sure you keep your girl happy,” she said with a wink and a grin. She just couldn’t decide if she was serious or not.

Chance gave a small chuckle to her comment. As much as he liked the all that Relgion stuff, his soul was already damned enough, and he knew that if any human knew of him he would be killed. Sure he could kill the humans but he wasn't a killer. He turned his attention to Lexi. "I'm not one of them, I just find it more enjoyable if you are with the one you love most. Though I doubt that matters since I was frozen into being a virgin," He gave her a small shrug and realized that he would forever be a virgin. How lame is that? Being a virgin for the rest of your unnatural life! He grumbled something under his breath to her about being tense. What lies that was, he wasn't tense. He was just feeling, okay so maybe she was right. He was a tad bit tense but it wasn't from not having sex. Chance gave her a look, he was done talking about his non exisiting sex life. Chance chuckled again, ah well what could he do? "Apparently I did or she wouldn't have tried to suck it all out. But she didn't get it all, thank god because we all know that life would be horrible with out me." He said with a heavy load of sarcasm. He knew that he would be better without this life. He didn't want this life, but he had to do what he could with what was given to him. Sure, he would be tempted to drink every humans blood, and stuff, but he could endure it. Right? Eh, that all depended on his self control, and willingness to sublude from humans. He hated being by himself, and he wanted to be able to socialize with them, but he feared the worst of himself. Killing someone. He had had enough killing in his time, and he wasn't willing to take the risk of it happening again.
Chance raised his brow at Lexi, she was a strange one. She was thinking about if he would think she was weird because she wanted to climb a tree. Hmm..That should tell him something about her, but franlky he didn't care. She was about the only female vampire friend he had, and wasn't fixng to change that. Sure he had been shocked that she was a vampire in the first place, but at least he didn't have to hide it anymore. That's what he hated most about being a vampire, not being able to tell your human friends that at any moment they could be dead because their blood just sang to him. Chance shook his head in agreement, to both things. That she would admitt those things to herself and anyone, and that most peole are too scared to admitt that they have flaws. Everyone had them, yes even vampires. Shocking right? But they were humans once too, and therefore ever human has flaws! Meaning every vampire has flaws, no matter what movies and books say. Though to the human mind vampires are perfect, but what did they know anyways? chance casually worked his mind around these thoughts. He did a quick look at her with his golden eyes, and laughed. "Yes, because your car keys and socks runaway, you don't lose them, right?" He rolled his eyes, that was just too funny. He loved it when people said such silly things.
Okay, so Chance knew that he was being just a tad bit harsh. He smiled over to her shyly, yes he was going to apologize to her. She was a girl, and telling a woman that she was dumb was never the smartest thing in the world. Ever this vampire made mistakes. "I'm sorry Lexi, I shouldn't have said that. You're very intelligent." He told her, she really was she just didn't know it. Yet. She just got so distracted it made others think that she didn't have the potential. Oh she did, he could tell just by poking through her mind.
Chance skimmed through her thoughts, then stopped after she said something. "I don't stalk my stalkers, I read minds. Remember?" He tapped the side of his head and smiled at her. When her thoughts entered his mind, he shook his head. "Would you really do that Lexi?" He would hate to think that she would really do that. Such horrible thoughts, killing a human. Sure, they're blood tasted great, but after everything with Taylor and stuff he just couldn't. Chance couldn't help but laugh at her thoughts, not that he would ever tell her that. He hoped that she could be happy with this guy. He seemed, like he was a good guy. And apparently tasty smelling. "Never said you were crazy. Already knew you were nosy. That's just you." He told her. Ah, it was nice to know that she hadn't changed all that much. Aside from the vampire thing and having a kid thing. Other then that she was still same old Lexi.
Mr.Iceman? Yup, she was still same old Lexi. She had an odd way of showing that she was geniunely happy for someone. "Iceman? couldn't have come up with a better name then that?" He asked her, he was only joking. But then again the Mr.Ice from Batman and Robin was evil. Chance wasn't evil. Was he? He was in a way. "Maybe, I hope she is." He was going to be really honest, he did want Caddie to be the one, but he didn't fully know yet. Chance looked at her, and shrugged. "Well, what's to say? She is amazing and perfect. Couldn't be anyone better out there." He said nodding his head, then thought of his words. "For me anyways," He added quickly. Cause he was sure that there were people perfect to other people. Like Griffin was to Lexi, he was perfect in her eyes.
Chance smiled and laughed. He liked comics as a kid, and stuff. But when he was little he didn't really think about that stuff. "I don't look at men's junk anyways." He told her. Why would a straight man want to look at another man's package? That was just weird. Chance couldn't help but smile. "Haha, well if you stalk me, I'll stalk you." He smiled, and tapped the side of his head. "I'll always know where you are."
