Kirsta approached the mansion slowly. It was right where the other hospital staff had said it would be. Andrew helped as much as he could being a wolf, but if she was going to stay out of trouble she needed the advice of a vamp like her and Lorelei was MIA. She and Jack hadn't talked since the run in out in the woods. Apparently there were rules, ones she didn't know and no one had told her.
So she stood on the front porch nervously and knocked, hoping she wasn't kicked out as a trouble maker. Already her abilities had hit the news on the web and she had a gut instinct that said it wasn't a good thing. At least the human had called her an angel instead of what she really was. A lonely, confused and brand new vampire that couldn't go bad if she wanted to.

Jasper sat on the bed in the room that he shared with his wife and laid out in front of him was a pile of clothing that had just been delivered home by his wife. When it came to figuring out plans for battles and other things he had no problems whatsoever. When it came to figuring out why his wife insisted on buying him what seemed like a new wardrobe every couple of months, Jasper was at a complete loss. Looking up at Alice with a look of total and complete helplessness, Jasper scowled slightly at the grin on her face. He knew that she had to be enjoying his confusion and as she began to hang up the clothes Jasper shook his head gently from side to side. Getting to his feet he walked over and brushed his lips over hers in a light kiss before saying: "Have fun love."
As Jasper made his way down the stairs he heard a knock at the door then looked around the house. It was obvious that he was the only person around so with a sigh he made his way forward. Although it took him longer to reach the door then it normally would, Jasper knew that he was traveling at a decent speed for a human. Until he knew who was on the other side of the front door he couldn't appear to be anything but human.
After opening the door Jasper looked at the girl who stood on the porch and it took only a split second for her scent to hit him. Realizing she was a vampire Jasper tensed slightly as his mind ran through every possible reason that she could be there for. Since she hadn't attacked yet Jasper decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and simply said: "Hello. Can I help you?"

Kirsta caught Jasper's tensed muscles and winced slightly, "My name's Kirstiana, I'm uh..." She bit her bottom lip and took a breath letting it out slowly. What was the best way to tell someone that could rip you to shreds you were possibly causing trouble for them. Sighing she took a folded piece of paper out of her jeans and unfolded the article that claimed she was an angel, "I heard someone in your family's been looking for me and well I think I might be in some sort of trouble, though I'm not really sure what kind."
There had to have been a better way to explain her presence on the Cullen's doorstep, but Kirstiana being more blunt than diplomatic couldn't think of one at the time. She felt as if she should say something more, "I'm sorry to bother you and your family, but I'm new." She pointed out her still orange colored eyes, "And there's apparently rules, which I know nothing about. Plus I'm getting the feeling I'm some sort of freak of nature. I was hoping Dr. Cullen or someone here could help. And I'm rambling now so I'll just shut up."

It was quite clear to Jasper that the girl at the door was nervous and knowing that a nervous person was never any help to anybody he reached out to her with his own particular gift and let a calming feeling begin to wash over her. He didn't do it in a way to where she would suddenly be calm but her nerves would fade and within the next five minutes she'd be calm and collected, almost as if she were talking to an old friend.
Taking the folded newspaper clipping from her hand, Jasper let his eyes scan the article as Kristiana began to explain about the fact that somebody in his family was looking for her. He definitely knew nothing about it since he and Alice had gone away for a few days but he could understand why somebody in his family would be looking for her. If she had allowed herself to be caught then this could prove to be a dangerous situations for himself and the rest of his family. For a split second Jasper felt the need to destroy this young vampire because of the problems she'd brought down on his family but he knew he couldn't. She was seeking out help and he couldn't deny her the help that she needed when it wasn't denied to him.
"Come in and follow me." Jasper said simply as he waited for Kristiana to pass through the doorway then led her into the family room. He knew he wasn't exactly giving off a sympathetic vibe but that just wasn't who he was. Maybe Alice or Esme could be sympathetic towards her but all Jasper saw her as was a threat who had put his family in danger. He hated that he saw her as a threat but the military man in him just came roaring to the surface and it wanted to eliminate the threat.
Even though Jasper wanted his wife there to help him since she'd probably be able to communicate better with Kristiana, Jasper wouldn't call his wife into the room until he was one hundred percent sure that she would be safe and after motioning for Kristiana to take a seat on a nearby couch, Jasper took a seat in an armchair across from her. "Why don't you start at the beginning and tell me exactly what happened?"

Alice grinned down at her husband who sat on the black down comforter of their bed, staring in disbelief at the bags of clothes she had dumped in front of him. If there was one person that she had the most fun dressing, it was definitely her husband. Jasper looked good in pretty much anything, but he really didn’t care much for style. He just wore whatever she told him to wear, and Alice was perfectly satisfied with that. Except when he chose to mixmatch the outfits she had constructed. She rarely ever got a single piece of clothing. She would find a pair of pants and shoes to go with it and sometimes a belt or hat or some other sort of accessory. She was a clothes freak. If you didn’t match, you should be shot. Jasper had lived with her habits for so long now that he was used to her ways. He knew what clothes went with what, so she didn’t really have to worry about him all that much. The majority of the family had all learned from Alice. None of them bought their own clothes anymore. Alice went shopping every other day and if she saw something for someone then she’d pick it up and slip it into their closet. She was rather proud to say that her family had a pretty badass style. They were all always dressed to kill, in a figurative sense of course. Well, all of them with the exception of Bella. For some reason she still insisted on wearing the clothes that she used to when she was human. Alice had tried her hardest to slip a few items into the human’s closet while she still lived with Charlie but Edward always found out and he was never very happy. He was such a hypocrite, yelling at her for sneaking into the house when he himself did it every second of the day. Bella sometimes reluctantly agreed to let Alice dress her and that just made the tiny Vampire’s day. She was getting better now that she was a Vampire and lived ridiculously close to Alice. She had afterall helped Esme stock the house, so Bella couldn’t really avoid the full closet beckoning to her. The closet was practically the size of the rest of the house. At least Alice could rest peacefully knowing that her little niece wasn’t wearing some horrid polyester or fake cotton.
Smiling at Jasper, Alice began plucking random items out of the pile of clothing on the bed in front of him and hanging them up in the closet. She had organized all of the clothes into sections and outfits so they were easy to assemble, and she continued to do so as she strung the clothes up on the metal poles which hung horizontally along the wall. The house was relatively quiet today, which was odd for the Cullens. They had a variety of visitors staying in town for the anticipated arrival of the Volturi, and more on their way. That made for quite a bit of noise. Normally everyone was inside the house at the same time. Those who hunted humans, went together up to Seattle to hunt humans. Those who hunted animals went together up into the mountains to hunt animals. They never staggered the hunting groups, so everyone was gone at the same time. Today must have been a perfect day to go hunting since the house was empty of all guests. Emmett had offered to take the animal group up to the mountains and Rosalie had decided to tag along. She was getting rather jealous with the other Vampires being around. Hands down Rosalie was very beautiful, but every Vampire was attractive. A few of the women who were staying with the Cullens were also extremely pretty, and Rose couldn’t stand that. They would flirt harmlessly with Emmett, which wasn’t really their fault since the great ladies man normally started it. He was a friendly guy, easy to get along with and talk to. He loved Rose though, so it wasn’t like she had anything to worry about. She refused to think of that though, and had taken to toting around with Emmett wherever he went. The poor guy was going to go insane. Yes, he loved Rose but there was only so much he could take at one time. Alice and Jasper were the exact opposite. If they were given the choice to stay in the exact same room for all of eternity with nothing but each other, she was pretty sure they’d agree. Jasper was her best friend, her love. He was the one that she could be around no matter what. There was never a time when she wanted to be separated from him. When they were separated, she was mostly thinking of him and he worrying about her. They just belonged together in every sense of the phrase.
Jasper stood from the bed, causing Alice to turn around to face him. He made his way over to her, brushing his lips gently across hers in a light kiss. Her own lips smiled underneath his as she gently kissed him back, standing on her tiptoes to reach. "Have fun love." He said, turning and making his way out into the hall. Alice laughed lightly, shaking her head as she turned back around to face the closet, a pale blue collared shirt in her hand. She hung the garment easily amoung the other collared shirts and grabbed a stack of hangers before turning back to the large bed. She paused for a moment, a sudden haze overwhelming her as she bent to grab the next shirt. She froze, watching as a vision enfolded before her. A girl was about to visit the house, a girl Alice had actually seen before. The girl had been with Esme and Carlisle, talking to them in pervious visions. But when Alice asked her parents about the girl they shook their heads, confused and silent. She knew that they had some idea of who the girl was, but they weren’t sure so they weren’t going to say anything. That was just like Carlisle to do. Edward had to have known, but he wasn’t exactly around a lot lately for Alice to ask. He spent most of his time in his own house with his wife and their child, or else he was out and about with the other Vampires or with Jacob and the pack. Now she was actually coming to the house? That couldn’t be good… or could it? Was she a threat to the Cullens or a friend? She had golden eyes, so she couldn’t be that dangerous. She appeared to be nervous, scared almost, in the vision. Of course Jasper was the one to open the door, his pose defensive and tensed which made Alice think he had no idea who the girl was either. She presented him with a piece of paper but Alice couldn’t see what it said or what it was about. She was slightly curious about the girl, and she saw Jasper inviting her into the house so she couldn’t be that bad. Although, Jasper didn’t exactly look very friendly. That could be a problem if this girl was in some trouble. Yes, he could calm her by his abilities but not by his own presence. He was too defensive.
Alice was pulled from her vision but the sound of a light knocking coming from downstairs. She heard Jaspers footsteps as he moved towards the door, unaware of what stood on the other side. Alice was still, listening to her husband as he confronted the girl but not sure whether or not she should go down there. She imagined the scene she had watched in her head unfold and that was what persuaded her that maybe it was better if she was there for Jasper while they found out more about the mysterious girl. Maybe it would be better for her as well if she got to spoke to someone a bit less… guarded. The tiny Vampire dropped the hanger she clutched in her hand, making her way out of her room and down the hall towards the stairs. She heard Jasper moving the girl into the house, leading her towards the family room. Esme and Carlisle were somewhere in the house and Edward and Bella were with Nessie at their own home. That left Alice and Jasper to deal with the girl. Alice fluttered down the stairs, her feet barely touching the polished finish as she made her way towards the family room. She heard Jasper talking to the girl, asking her to explain the story to him. Alice entered the room, a bright smile on her face as she appeared to the girl. She could tell almost instantly that there was no threat, she was almost sure of it. She could feel her visions wanting to show her that the girl was no threat, but she ignored them and instead made her way closer to the new Vampire. Jasper was still defensive, tensed as he sat across from her. Alice entered the room from behind him, crossed it and made her way towards the new Vampire. “Tell us,” She corrected, leaning towards the girl who still looked rather nervous at the meeting and giving her a quick hug. Alice normally did this to imprint their scent better, since it came in handy when she had to watch them in her visions. But she was also trying to ease the girls nerves. She knew Jasper wasn’t going to like her approach though, so she made it quick and turned to sit herself on the edge of his arm chair, resting a hand gently on his shoulder to relax him a bit. “I’m Alice, by the way.”

Kirsta followed Jasper in feeling herself slowly calming. His body language still tense she felt her own calm to be odd to say the least. Quirking an eyebrow she moved to the couch and was about to sit down when the female entered the room and approached her. Waiting politely she was suprised when the pixie like female hugged her and flushed slightly with embarassment, "I'm sorry to bother you both."
Sitting finally she let out a heavy sigh, "Everything in that article is true, except of course me being an angel. I was going to the hospital to find Dr. Von Volkenburg or Dr. Cullen. I'd needed space after the change. Lorelei gave me the basics, since the one who changed me wasn't around. Being a paramedic the medical side of this new life leaves me with a lot of questions.
I'd finally given up trying to find the answers on my own and went to the hospital. Feeding isn't a concern for me because I physically can't harm humans. Just thinking of feeding from them causes debillitating pain to the point of doubling over. A two year old girl that had fallen into a bonfire was brought in. My medical training took over and I took her into the trauma room of the ER and started barking out orders until a doctor could get in the room. The kid should have died, but somehow my touch healed her. When she stopped breathing and her heart stopped beating I brought her back."
Kirsta stood frowning, "When people are hurt and I touch them with the will for them to get better they do. I managed to make friends with Andrew a Doctor there, from La Push. Making friends with a wolf is not easy by the way. He's helped as much as he can, even gotten me a position as an intern at the hospital. He told me there were rules though he doesn't know them. I'd thought I had managed to stay under the radar until I saw this on the internet, so the rules are kind of important to know now. I probably should have come here right away for help, but I'm not quite comfortable around humans right now let alone my own kind. I'm really sorry if this brings you trouble. The only reason I came now is I overheard people in town saying Esme was asking about the girl with orange eyes. As far as I know I'm the only newborn at this age that would have eyes halfway between. Not that I know much about others around here right now."

Hearing the footsteps that approached, Jasper instinctively tensed even more. He hadn't wanted Alice in the room with this unknown vampire until he'd made sure that she was not a threat but it appeared his petite pixie of a wife had other plans and when she walked into the room Jasper shifted in his seat so that he was on the edge before Alice had even gotten past him. He didn't trust this vampire, which shouldn't have come as a surprise to Alice, and as she moved to give the other girl a hug, Jasper was like a coiled up spring that was more then ready pop. If he got even the slightest impression that this vampire was going to try to hurt his wife, female or not, she would never know what hit her.
Looking up at his wife as she moved towards him, Jasper scowled slightly at her as if scolding her for coming in when they didn't know anything about her. Despite knowing that his wife was more then capable of taking care of herself, the southern gentleman he'd been raised to be still sought to protect her and treat her like a delicate piece of crystal that he saw her as. It wasn't until she was safely seated on the arm of his chair that Jasper relaxed even the tiniest bit and as her hand came to rest on his shoulder he relaxed a bit more. He didn't like this, but there was nothing he could about it now that Alice was in the room so he just placed his hand protectively on her lap. While it may have looked like a position any couple might naturally take, Jasper took this position because it put in place to push Alice back and out of the way in case Kristiana did turn out to be a threat.
Listening to her story, Jasper wasn't quite sure what to make of it and glanced at Alice. If what the girl said was true then she could be a valuable ally and they had to get her on their side before the Volturi or anybody else could get their hands on her. Of course her story could all be a clever ploy by the Volturi to have a vampire infiltrate their home so they could get even more information about the Cullen's and their friends. Jasper knew that he had no way of knowing what this girl was thinking and he was beginning to wish that it had been Edward who'd joined him instead of his wife. Sure Alice probably helped the girl to feel at ease but he could control that with no problem. Edward on the other hand could have gotten everything they needed to know from this vampire and she wouldn't have had to say a single word.
"And how did you know that you'd find Esme here?" Jasper asked automatically since his protective nature flared for a second as he thought about this vampire tracking his mother to their home. If that were the case he'd have to make sure he talked to his mother about being more careful and he'd have to talk to his brother's about keeping their eyes and ears open for anybody else who might try to track her.

Kirsta winced at his question any answer she gave was not going to sound good. Jasper was still on edge and she didn't blame him. It was best to stick to the truth, "I recently applied as an intern and was hired. I start once I have all my apps set for school in a few weeks. That and I'm looking for a house, anyway I'm rambling again. I'm afraid once you work for the hospital it's fairly easy to find out where coworkers live and Carlisle is pretty well known..."
She bit her lip, "That and I might have followed Andrew's scent here. He's befriended me, this is a mess." She stood, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have come here. Reporter's could be trying to keep up with me for all I know. Not that they could have kept up with me on my way here, since I ran through the woods. Still, I'm really, really sorry about this. All of it I hope I don't bring trouble here for any of you." She started moving towards the door having convinced herself it had been a bad idea to come.

"Carlisle may be well known but the location of our home isn't. What'd you do? Read his information?" Jasper asked automatically before Kristianna was saying that she had also befriended somebody named Andrew and had followed his scent to the house. Who the hell was Andrew and why had he even been at the Cullen Mansion? There was also the fact that Kristianna said she'd followed Andrew's scent to the house that had Jasper tensing up again. So she had essentially played tracker which made her a liability. He didn't know her or trust her and apparently she followed others to places that she was not invited to.
"No." Jasper said automatically as he moved to block the exit and motioned for Kristianna to have a seat on the couch that she'd just vacated. He knew he probably sounded harsh but he was not going to let her leave until either Esme showed up to verify her story of having been searching for her or Edward showed up to let him know that this girl really was no threat. "I'm afraid I can't let you leave yet. I know absolutely nothing about you and until I know that you're not a danger to my family I can't let you leave this house. Just make yourself comfortable and I'll be back in a few moments. Leave while I'm gone and I suggest you leave this area all together because I will be hunting you."
Glancing at his wife, Jasper knew she probably already saw the course of action he was going to take and he made his way out of the room. Entering a room a few yards down the hall, Jasper pulled out his cell and made two quick calls. With neither Esme or Edward answering their phones, Jasper left quick and brief messages about needing them to come home as soon as they could then he put away his cell before leaving the room he was in and reentered the room with his wife and Kristianna.

Stubborn Kirsta didn't sit but walked to a window furthest from any doors so it was apparent she wasn't going anywhere and looked out at the sky. This was a huge mess. As soon as she'd realised the trouble she may be in or causing she should have left the area, gone somewhere easy to get lost. It wasn't like during her travels after leaving LA that she didn't know of at least a few places where one would be hard pressed to find her. She sighed in frustration at herself and let her head fall very lightly on the cool glass that felt body temperature to her.
At least her concern for the Cullens had calmed with Jasper running around she'd place money he would give anyone coming here looking for trouble a run for their money. With all her martial arts training she'd learned to size up others fairly well and he definitely moved like someone that could more than handle themselves. That and she'd caught a glimpse of a few tiny silver scars when he'd went to leave the room. Scars that looked like bite marks.
Hearing him re-enter the room Kirsta turned facing him, "I know for all you know I could be lying in any response I give, but I'll tell you anything you want to know." She needed to break the tension in the room, "For instance I know that fire extinguishers swung by a human don't work real well on vampires and kicking them is the opposite of effective. I tried fighting off the one who bit me. A shattered leg, dented extinguisher and new eye color later here I am. I was a firefighter/paramedic and I'm a black belt in Shotokan karate." She purposely gave away the latter, figuring only an idiot would tell him any threat they could potentially be and then attack, which she had no intention of doing.
She glanced to the couch, "Oh yes and I have a problem with figures of authority that only makes my stubbornness worse. That's pretty much it, except I seem lately to have no one left. Which is fine with me and I'm talking too much again. Sorry."

Having forgotten to charge her phone recently it had died on the way home. When Jasper tried calling her she'd only been a few short minutes away. Pulling into the driveway she parked the car. Driving really wasn't her thing, but it was more practical during the hours when the humans might take notice of her walking so far into town and lately her family had been to occupied for her to catch rides into town. It'd been easier when the kids had still been in school. Getting out of the car she grabbed the bags from the stores she'd gotten them from and walked into the house dropping them next to the door as she heard a female voice she didn't recognize.
Walking into the living room where she'd heard the voice she caught site of Alice, Jasper and the newborn she'd been searching all over the place for with Emmett's help. Smiling she looked directly at Kirsta, "I see they've found you, or you've discovered us. Either way, welcome. I'm Esme and I've been searching for you with the help of my other son Emmett. I was concerned we might not find you in time."
She looked over at Jasper noting the tension he seemed to have, "She's fine Jasper, I tried to have a family meeting to go out and find this one, but everyone was busy. Her color of eyes are facinating at this stage." she looked at Kirsta, "You really should try to put in contacts though dear before going out into public, particularly with your talent for healing people. Carlisle's going to be delighted to meet you I'm certain of it. Can I get you anything?"

Alice was hardly ever very talkative during meetings such as these. She had no reason to be. She was a watcher, the watcher to be more exact. Whenever a new Vampire came around or even an old one came back around it was the job of Edward and Alice to be on the lookout. Alice was to foresee any possible threats the Vampire might pose and Edward was to do the same, only faster. He was there for the immediate response. He was able to read the mind of the Vampire and tell what they were thinking. This way, in case they thought something threatening, he could signal to the others to be on their guard. Alice was in it for the long run. She was meant to watch the future in case this Vampire might be planning on acting differently than they were speaking. At times like these when Edward wasn’t around Alice had to act as both long and short term watcher. She had to focus entirely on the new Vampire and each decision that they made, just in case they were about to make one that could harm the Cullens. Alice had rather exceptional concentration to begin with, but she didn’t like trying to hold a conversation and play the role of chatty hostess when she was trying to watch out for her family at the same time. She just didn’t want to take any chances. The tiny raven haired girl sat silently on the edge of Jaspers arm chair, her eyes trained on the new girl who had entered their home. Her scent wafted through the undisturbed parlor and it was easy for Alice to focus on it. It made the visions flow much smoother. She listened intently as the girl began to speak, explaining to the couple just why she was there and the situation she had been put into. Alice had to admit, it was rather interesting but at the same time very dangerous. This girl had exposed her abilities, which was sure to bring unwanted attention to her. If she was discovered, it would mean disaster for the Vampires of Forks. Alice frowned slightly and glanced down at her husband, who was looking up at her.
Alice was rather worried about this Vampire. She could see the gears turning in Jaspers head and knew that he was just as skeptical. The Cullens had to be very careful with who they befriended lately. They had the Volturi trailing their every move, and it was hard to tell who was and wasn’t a part of the guard. However, the visions that played repeatedly through Alice’s head portrayed no signs of involvement with the great Italian clan. The girl was here on her own accord, which meant that the Cullens were going to have to be careful to keep her under the radar. If the Volturi discovered her, then she would be lost to them and it would be a great opportunity lost for the Cullens. If the humans discovered what she truly was, it would spell disaster. Alice shook her head ever so slightly for her husband, easing his curiosity and letting him know the girl wasn’t with the Volturi. That was one threat they could cross off the list. Jasper asked about how the girl had found them, or Esme actually. Alice herself was slightly worried about that. If it was easy enough for random Vampires to find them, it must be even easier for trained trackers to. Then again, Vampire scent was all over the home. There were several new Vampires staying with the already large coven. Naturally, the scent could be powerful enough to attract anything for miles. The girl began to get upset, trying to make her way back out of the house as she apologized to the two for disturbing them. Alice tensed slightly, they couldn’t let her go just yet. Within seconds Jasper had beaten Kristianna to the door and was beckoning for her to take a seat. Jasper’s tone was harsh as he spoke to the girl, threatening her to take her seat and not move from it. Alice would try to stop the girl if she did try to escape, but she wasn’t going to make things physical. This was a newborn. She was already scared enough as it was. Physically threatening her would only make things worse.
Alice smiled at the girl as Jasper left the room, pulling his cell phone from his pocket as he did. She watched as the girl didn’t take a seat but instead strolled to the far wall across from the door and stared out the window. She sighed and her forehead came to a gentle rest against the window. Alice felt some sympathy for the girl and yearned to go comfort her, but felt it was better for her to stay as she was. No need to push the girl or Jasper to a dangerous reaction. Jasper came back into the room and Alice raised an eyebrow apprehensively. She had already watched the confrontation and the girl was stubborn, defensive. It was the same with all new Vampires that met the Cullens. They felt strong, as though they stood a chance against any of the family members when in fact it was quite the opposite. Just because the Cullens didn’t choose to attack didn’t mean they weren’t good at it. Jasper had spent most of his life ripping Vampires to shreds. Edward was extremely fast and like Alice he could anticipate every move that was intended to be made. Emmett was stronger than most, which made it harder to take him down. The girl began to speak and Alice saw her mother’s car pull up the driveway. She was mere seconds away. Esme confirmed the girls story the second she walked into the room, admitting she had been searching for the girl. Alice wasn’t sure why she had neglected to tell the rest of the family. When you go searching for someone its rather important. Esme instantly began to act as though the girl was her best friend, like she was the newest member of the family. She was sure Jasper wasn’t going to be quite ok with that. He still wasn’t going to like some new Vampire being ushered into the home with only a few words of explanation. Alice rose from her position on the chair and flitter over to Jaspers side, taking his hand and glancing up at him.

As the girl began to spout off fact after fact about herself, Jasper felt his trust in her slipping more and more. He'd learned a long time ago that people who rambled tended to be people who shouldn't be trusted. It was like they felt the need to prove themselves to whoever they were telling their story to and they felt that if they gave more information then was needed that they would be believed. With Jasper it had the opposite effect. The more they talked, the less Jasper trusted them. Oh sure, there were those few people who just got extremely nervous and rambled to cover up the nervousness but they would get sorted out later from the liars. As bad as it was to say, Jasper was a guilty until proven innocent kind of man. He offered trust to nobody unless they did something to earn it and at that moment he could count on two hands the number of people he trusted unconditionally and he wouldn't even use all of his fingers.
When Kristiana talked about her black belt in the martial arts, Jasper's trust in her lessened considerably. It was as if she was flaunting her skills so that the Cullen's would think twice about messing with her. If she thought that giving that piece of information would intimidate them then she had another thing coming. He'd battled far too many newborns to really be worried about anything she might do to him and he knew with Edward as well as Alice on his side, this girl would never be able to lay a finger on any member of his family.
Jasper had been about to make a snide comment about her skills when Esme walked into the room and he immediately straightened up. Here was the person that Kristiana had been looking for and if she tried to do anything to hurt his mother then she would find that her martial arts training would prove useless against himself and Alice. Jasper had been about to introduce Kristiana to Esme when Esme was suddenly welcoming her into the home as if she were some honored and expected guest. Jasper had to admit it made him stop dead in his tracks as he watched Esme cater to somebody who was a potential threat to them as if she were a long lost friend. Didn't she realize that Kristiana had tracked her to her home? That she had shown up unannounced and uninvited?
Jasper was on the verge of snapping when he felt his wife's hand slip into his and he turned his attention to look down into her eyes. It often amazed him how he could easily control the emotions of other people but when it came to his own he had a hard time. The only way he seemed able to control his emotions was when he was with his wife and all she had to do was take his hand in hers, give him a hug or some other small gesture. Despite the fact that Jasper wanted to leave the house, he knew he couldn't leave his mother with a vampire who still posed a threat so instead he took a seat in the chair he had just left. Pulling Alice down with him, Jasper let her sit on the armrest while he kept his fingers laced with hers and just watched. Esme may have been fine with this unexpected visitor but Jasper still didn't trust her and he was going to keep a close eye on her while she was in the Cullen's home.
