It was a sunny day, shocking for this part of the state. So Ashleigh was going out and she was going to like it. Okay maybe she wouldn't like it, but the rest of her family didn't have to know that. So they all got dressed for the beach. Ashleigh wore her cut off shorts and her neon pink bikini top. She looked into Jake's room, he was ready. She laughed at him cause he was just staring at the floor. Not that he could really see the floor since he was blind. She lead him down stairs to see everyone else waiting, including the newest additions to the family. James Decker a five year old boy who had come from a drug family, and then little Charity Decker, a three year old girl who's mother had left her home alone for a month with out food. Ashleigh had really taken to her, and was glad the Deckers had taken her in. She was happy they had taken in both children in. James had a bit of a temper though so she and James clashed heads a lot though he was only five. As soon. As they got down stairs Charity was wobbling her way over to Ashleigh. She was soooo cute, and the thought of the little girl liking her made her smile.
It didn't make her forget her worries about Damien and her feelings for him. She really needed to find someone, but she didn't want to worry about it right now. She picked Charity up and walked out the door with the rest of her family. Charity was hanging on her neck, and plaaying with her necklace. Ashleigh smiled as she played with it and the walked down to the beac laughing like a family should. They haven't had family time like this in a while. It was really nice, Ashleigh looked back to see Ana and Jake linked arms and Ana was talking to him about something, she didn't bother to listen in. She brought Charity around to the front of her body and started to tickle her. She started laughing but stopped when she saw the beach and started to squrim when she saw it. Ashleigh let her down and walked behind her to make sure she didn't hurt herself or anything. She watched as the little girl played in the water. She didn't even have her little sundress off. Ashleigh grabbed her so she could get the dress so their mother didn't have a cow.
After a half hour James came over and started to play with them. No one else was around her and so it was hard to keep an eye out on two kids. She heard laughter and turned around for two seconds, when she turned back around James was gone. Ashleigh looked around, but didn't see him. She ran Charity over to Ana and started looking for James. Damnit that little bug ran off on a day that the beach was crowded. "JAMES! JAMES!" she called out. She walked up to people asking if they had seen him but they hadn't. She was on the verge of tears. "JAMES! WHERE ARE YOU?! she cried out.

Daddy! Daddy! Stella screamed and bit her lip while looking up at her father with her big puppy dog eyes. Johnathan tried not to look. He knew better. The four year old angel was cursed with the look. The one that you can give and most people would just melt to their knees. Shaking his head he turned away. Yes babe? I'm right here. Stella looked at her father and shook her light brown hair. It moved as she shook it. Quickly she got up on her tip toes and grabbed his face with her small hands. She did this so he HAD to look her in the eyes, unless he closed them. Giggling she spoke, I wanna swim! I wanna be a fishy! Lets GO! Jumping back she spined on her heels and stopped to look at him with the same eyes as before.
Johnathan shook his head. The guy didn't want to look if he did he would be doomed. Only if his son Mathuis was here too, but instead their grandmother decided to kidnap him for the week while John had a father daughter time. Though it was nice dealing with one kid for a bit. Opening an eye he saw the eyes of her mother and well melted to his knees. Sighing he got up from the couch. Fine Fine we can go. The four year old girl squeeled happily and ran to her and her brothers room to grab what she planned on needing. While his daughter was busy he went off to his room and grabbed his trunks and slippled them on.
A sigh escaped his lips as the nineteen year old went to the mini fridge in his room. He fell to his knees and opened it. Stopping he listened to see if Stella was coming to find him, smiling he reached in a grabbed the small bottle of rum. He didn't plan on getting wasted but just a few sips wouldn't kill would it? After he got a taste of it he placed it back in and got up. Turning around, Stella ran into his room and looked up at him. Daddy! Lets GO! I wanna leave! NOW! puh-lease She smiled a giggled before twirling around and leaving the room to go out to the car. Smiling himself, Johnathan walked out and headed towards his beat up ford focus. Driving off he headed towards the beach in La Push.
Stella was sitting in the back looking out the window. Like every other kid she would look at him and ask the most annoying question ever, "Are we there yet?." He wanted to just tell her yes but than it wouldn't be a good idea since Stel would get all mad and not want to leave the car when they did get there. As soon as the blue car got to the beach and parked, the girl opened her door and jumped out. Before John could get out and grab his towel, Stella was set up and waiting for him to hurry up. Daddy your slow! Smiling he jogged over to her. Sometimes he thought she was Leah and not just her child. It was funny how she turned to be more like Leah and Mathuis, the oldest twin, was more like him when he was young. Walking up to Stella he set the white towel down and sat on it.
Stella sat next to him and smiled. It was her way of saying thank you without even saying a word. Just a few seconds after that she got up and ran off to go play. Biting his own lip, John got up and figured it would be better if he watched his daughter while they were in a crowd of people. She was smart for a four year old but damn she clinged to people too quickly. By the time she was in his view, he noticed another kid was playing with her. Walking over, he sat down a couple yards away and watched her play with a new friend. Not to long atfer they were playing and she said his name was James did the boy hear someone screaming for his name. Getting up he walked over to the giggling kids and looked for where the name calling would be coming from.

Everyone wondered why Ashleigh didn't go out and about anymore. She lost track of everything she had. Whether it be her ipod, or something simple and replacable. No, no she had to lose a kid. A freaking little five year old boy who had decided that he wants to run-off with out telling anyone where he was headed. And Ashleigh wasn't fixing to tell her mother and father about it unless she couldn't find him in the next few minutes. Ashleigh sniffed the air, but she hadn't been around James enough to get his scent down pat like he had with her bilogical siblings. Ashleigh looked behind her to see her family having a good old time together, not a care in the freaking world. Sometimes she wished that she could have that, but no, no she had to have the complex life stlye, and be different. And just blah from everyone else. Ashleigh stopped, and sniffed the air again. She listened, and concentrated on the five year olds laugh and voice structure. He was close, but where?
"James!" Ashleigh called once more, though she didn't move from her spot. She just listened, that's when she heard his voice, and picked up on his scent. She glanced up, letting her blue eyes wander over the crowd. Finally, Ashleigh spotted the little boy playing with a little girl, cute little one really. Ashleigh looked up to see a guy, probably not too older then herself, standing a few feet away from the two kids. Maybe he was the little girls brother or something. He seemed to be looking for something, hmm, that was strange. Oh well..Maybe he heard her voice, and was looking for her. Ashleigh bascially jogged the whole way up to James, and when she arrived she was looking at James. Ashleigh was not happy at the moment.
Ashleigh cleared her throat, then said, "James, you should tell me where you're going. Almost gave me a heart-attack." She picked up the five year old, who seemed to be just content with her doing so. Ashleigh smiled down at the little girl who James had been playing with, and asked him who she was. And he replied in a little cute boy voice that her name was Stella, and that she was his friend. She looked up to teh guy tha thad been standing next to them, he was cute. Not that she was really interested in any sort of relationship with anyone. She tucked a piece of James' black hair behind his ear, and then smiled at the guy. "Thanks, for uh, watching him. I didn't know he would run off like that." She said looking at James.
Oh, no doubt that thier parents would find out about him running off. But then again, she didn't think that he had really meant to run off like that, he just wanted something to do really. "Hope he didn't cause too much of an issue for you either." Ashleigh set James down again so he could play, but she was keeping her eyes on him so he didn't run off again. "I'm Ashleigh." She didn't know, she just had to make sure he knew her name. Probably didn't even really care what her name was. Not that she cared if he cared, she just thought that he should know. This was excatly the kind of distraction she needed from Damien. To meet and have friends, sine most of her friends were friends with Damien it made it difficult for her cause they kind of looked at her weird. Like it was obvious that she liked him.
And that's why she didn't like being part of the guys. Other times it was cool, but not when Ashleigh started to like people, it just made it weird.
