Being a freaky werewolf was the least of Cassie's problemos. She had had a busy week and sched and she'd gotten used to sneaking out of Dylan's intimdating presence. It wasn't that easy having a vampire for a friend. You had to go and cope with the stinky smell. She had gotten used to the smell so much that she felt she was a vampire already.Get your butt on, Cassie, she hears a small voice tell her in her mind. She groaned. She was feeling too good to go get up on her butt again. Ever since Daven had imprinted on her, she'd never felt better than ever. Dylan had missed the news she'd gotten imprinted on by someone on Sam's pack. Cassie didn't mind at all that he was on the other pack-at least the two packs were trying their best to help each other.
Dylan had cooked Cassie’s breakfast-and it tasted good. There was a note pinned on the refrigerator telling her that Dylan had gone out to see the world-or not. See you later-urgent break and business to attend to, was written on Dylan’s outstanding and neat penmanship. Cassie snorted. She wanted to have a day all to her and had written that on her diary but probably Dylan had read that too. No wonder her diary had started to smell already. She made a mental note to clean her house up later-if she had enough time. Slipping on a pair of Citizen jeans Dylan had left, she took a Ralph Lauren gray trench coat and slid it over her white Nike tank top. She felt good now. Smelling her RL coat, it had a smell of RL Letterman’s Black Romance with a faint hint of smoke.
But she liked it. She had added Daven’s cell number, telephone number, email address, house address and all in her notepad so that they could spend time together before going public as a couple. Done. She didn’t care not checking her Plurk and email account at all, knowing there were some messages from her ex-boyfriend and some Plurks from random strangers. She double-locked the house then clutching motor keys, she set out of the world to discover her. She pumped the motorcycle to go and run and it did.
A quick visit to the cliffs was always her first stop. There, she parked her car and ran all the way to the cliffs, letting the air whip her hair and face and breathe the air of serenity take over her. Then she took a seat at the grass and hugged her knees. Finally privacy.

Noah was walking to the Cliffs. This is where he had to patrol for today. All this patrolling slowly was starting to make much more sense as to why he had gave up on being a werewolf before. Patrolling wasn't a job but more like a sentence. He was here to patrol always until death dued them part. Thinking about this, Noah sook his head as he walked. Even everything else was getting better, this had to be the one thing that made no progress. Noah was just in the mood to have some real fun.
Finally reaching the cliffs, noah walked up the path and reported to the spot where he was told to he at. Walking to the end of the cliff he looked down and watched people jump off the cliffs. Lucky them he thought. At least they were able to have their own kind of fun whenever they wanted, instead of being left in the dark to watch for the vampires, that he believed where never going to come.
Noah phased into his wolf form and involuntary listened to the thought of all the other wolf in the pack. Nothing was sacred when he was a wolf so he tryed not to think about anything important of that he didn't want the rest of the guys knowing. Just then, he heard something think about where Jacob was going ot be patrolling at. Who’s patrolling with me? Noah thought. He didn't direct it to anyone, he was just thinking. He knew someone would respond, but it wasn't what he was looking for. This should be interesting. Maybe I will have fun tonight after all Noah continued to think.
Knowing that he wasn’t having any fun today, Noah layed upon the ground. He changed into his human form so that no one could hear what he was thinking. He got back up once he changed himself, and sat on a log. Ugh Noah thought to himself. Noah had previously given up being a were-wolf, and aged two years, because he was tired of the whole patrolling thing. Obviously I was not thinking when I became a werewolf again. Why did I do this to myself. Noah was, obviously, apart of Sam pack earlier. When Noah took up the werewolf life again, he chose to be apart of Jacob’s pack. Jacob was a wolf he hadn’t really known of before then, but since Noah had been away, Jake becomes utterly famous. Noah heard the beliefs of Jacob and thought by joining his pack he would be better off. He knew that Jacob was friends with the Vampires. He imprinted on one of the Cullen’s children, and he wouldn’t kill a vampire that might hurt the feeling of the one whom he imprinted upon. Noah figured with less vampires to hunt, he would have less patrolling duties. Wrong. Now Noah was patrolling to keep all the bad vampires and stuff from getting to the newest edition to the Cullen’s family. I’ll never get a break Noah thought.
He looked around him. He was becoming bored and lonely. He wondered when Jake would come. He wasn’t rushing him, because then he knew that he would actually have to work. Noah thought about changing back into his wolf form but then he knew he would have to listen to the thoughts of other, but then again that would change his bored into slightly entertained. But then after a while of hearing what other were thinking, it became annoying. There was his dilemma. He didn’t want to be caught off duty when Jake came, and if the pack noticed he was gone too long, they would know that he had changed into his wolf from. It would be impossible for someone to sit there and not think anything at all. Ever. So he phrased back and listened in. He could only here one kid think about his imprint. Which then caused other to think of theirs too. He was now listening to a whole bunch of lovey dovey thought. Noah had recently joined the category of those who have imprinted. Noah imprinted on a burgundy eyed vampire. Drama seemed to follow Noah were ever he went. He became to think about his imprint and just smiled. He tried not to think as hard as the other where. Eventually he stopped thinking about Galatea. It was easy but he didn’t want everyone to know his business. He tuned into what the other were thinking and still on their mind where imprints. Others wishing they knew who it felt to imprint. Aaaww SHUT UP Noah thought. In response, Noah got a whole lot of cursing. He laughed. Now this is entertainment he thought.
Laying on the ground enjoying his sudden amount of chaos, Noah lifted his head off the ground when he heard the sound of a car coming. He came into stance. Noah hated not having control over his natural instincts to these type of things. Whos there? Noah thought. He realized that he would only come out as a roar. All the other wolves asked where was he and if he needed help. No I’m okay. I think. Noah spotted a figure. He was a girl. He quickly turned back into his human form. Hopefully the girl didn’t spot him. He quietly sat up against a tree and smiled at the girl, trying this whole friendly thing. Its when she got a little closer that noah could smell her scent. That’s why she looked so familiar. “[bHey… ” noah said then realized he didn’t know her name. [/blockquote]

“Hello and hey yourself,” chuckled Cassie wryly. Her face creased in a dazzling smile. She had smelled his scent and it was him. Noah Cruz in the flesh! He was a tall werewolf, quite good-looking, she could tell with a scruffy face, short slicked light brown hair, the lank build she always had wanted to have and boom! She had come because well, pack meeting? She knew most of the new pack members had newly impinted and they were thinking all about their imprintees and they would be all lovey-dovey. Of course, Cassie herself was an imprintee and she didn’t get lovey-dovey whenever she was in wolf form. She didn’t wanna get caught on spot that she had been imprinted on. She remembered when she was talking to a boy named Bo about imprinting, she had even flirted to imprint on him. Hopefully, her sweet Daven wouldn’t do such a thing, right? Right.
She sure hoped she wasn’t late now. “Too many werewolves thinking all about their imprintees, right? I’m an imprintee, too, Noah,” she laughed, for she had seen the expression her fellow pack mate had when he saw her. He looked bored. Looking like he actually had no fun hearing all the thoughts in the heads of a dozen and over lovesick wolves in a pack. She thought of something to say.
Besides, she was late already and how stupid she must had been to know that she was lovesick too. Well, everyone needs to be hypocritical once in a while. She had to admit to herself she was a hypocrite sometimes and well, what can anyone expect from her? She was just a tired new werewolf girl, newly imprinted on, with a hope rising on her heart for the future she awaited with the one she loved beside her. “My name’s Cassie Harte and I know yours. It’s Noah Cruz. I’ve heard of you.” The words came out quickly, laced with sincere friendliness.
Maybe he was the type who was an outcast and all, but maybe he wasn’t. For the first time today, Cassie felt confused about Noah. He sure was trying to hide his nudity by covering himself in the tree and so she looked down, out of respect. Then she didn’t look up.

“Hey ” noah laughed. She was pretty funny. He was almost positive he never spoke to her before because then he would actually like someone in his pack. But because he didn’t, he had officially hated just about everyone upon the meeting of her. He looked around and had to say he was happy to find out that it was someone else in his pack. He wondered who someone would have taken it to hear a roar of an animal and then all of a sudden see a man standing there as they got closer. “Yes it is annoying as hell” he smiled and tried to quickly dress himself. “Wait, how did you know my name?” he said standin there confused. Was he being stalked now? Well he doubted. They were in the same pack. Maybe they had actually talked while they once were all in wolf form. He shrugged. Well now he felt back that she knew his name but he didn’t know her. Well did he really need to feel back. HE just pretty much didn’t care about anyone else, was that really a crime?
“do you think about the one who has imprinted one you all the time?” he asked. He figured that’s he might have. Who knows. He heard love makes you do crazy thing. Maybe he needed to find love to be normal again. Hm, he doubted it. Noah would never be the caring person that someone would want. Oh well. Love wasn’t for everyone, was it? Damn he needed to stop questioning himself. “Wait, you’re a wolf too, so did you imprint on him back?” he asked confused. He was sure two wolfs could imprint on each other but what happened when one imprinted on another, and the another imprinted on someone totally different from the first one. Could that even happen; have the one who was made for you be made for someone else? Hmph, Noah knew that if anyone would figure that would it would probably happen to him.
“Should I be scared, Cassie?” he asked after she told him that she knew his name was Noah Cruz. That’s not something that people usually know. Should he be scared or flattered. Well honestly, at the moment he was none. [/blockquote]

Cassandra Lyn only shook her head, threw it back, and laughed, showing off the perfect white teeth. She had to admit it was hilarious, pure hilarious, very funny, very amusing enough to see the werewolf who was least likely to socialize and sure, standing in front of her, scared already that an unknown newly-imprinted on girl that she knew his name. She had heard of him kind of a lot from the other lovesickly and lovey dovey other werewolves who were sick of love. Sure, they were getting infected by a lot of diseases all because of the love. Feel the love, brother. Sure, he had had quite a tongue and let the cat out of the bag. Love made all the people crazy, sages and foolish young men, saints and all the breeds. Here it goes.
She didn’t think of Daven all the time. She needed to focus on her life first. Duty, and munus. That’s it. Keep them guessing. After all she wasn’t the one who had phased first. It was Daven who did that after a short talk about life. He had been right all along and all that. She looked down at her mud-encrusted rubber Nike shoes, Puma socks and white Puma shirt, blue Gap slacks that fit her nicely and the ponytail with the deep brown hair fell down her shoulder and the wind only blew.
He had asked her a question-not only one but more than that. Cassie figured out she could do all the talking. After a few years of public speech she was good to go. Love wasn’t just a victory march, a cold and dead and wet Hallelujah sometimes. The song Hallelujah made her cry sometimes. She had to admit that but she loved the song, the versions by Rufus Wainwright and Kate Voegele.
Back to the real life, Cassie, she told herself so, quite soft enough in her thoughts. “No; I don’t think about the one I love very much all the time. Duty comes first. The guy who imprinted on me, Daven, belonged to Sam’s pack, and I think he was the only one who imprinted on me. I didn’t do it back.” She paused a little for effect and pensive thoughts flooded her head softly. “I don’t think you should be scared, Noah. “ She raised a brow at him. “What are you cared of, anyway?”
