Juno walked into Hot Topic. It was her first day of work and she was kind of excited. She loved Hot Topic and was willing to work there. Looking around there was another person at the desk who smiled at her then gathered up her things and left. She'd been shown how to work it and knew what to do. Sitting behind the corner she started reading a book she'd brought. It was a Sunday so many people weren't out shopping. The bell above the door ringed about and hour later. Setting down her book she stood and stretched before looking up to see who it was.

catelina isn't much of a shopper. it wasn't that she does not enjoy seeing pretty little designs, and things that's been put up at the window displays. it wasn't because of all the walking one tends to do when shopping. it wasn't the fact that one needs to talk to the cashier, and all those random people who felt the need to talk to you just because. it wasn't the location itself, or the aura around it. it was the fact that shopping involves looking at everything, picking out a size, trying it on, and when the size isn't correct, oh joy you have to come back and find something else that fits you! it isn't that bad though, she thought to herself. sometimes it just feels like going to the mall is like facing a big bad monster, although the girl knew not why.
she isn't care to go out, oh no. the outside isn't a bad place (although there are hidden mysteries living around), even though on rare occasion the sun would just decide to attack your eyes out because it's sulking. too many cloudy/rainy day at forks! it might say, but catelina couldn't blame the sun now, but she could complain how immature it is acting. who would want to come out, find a nice sunny day (or so you thought from the inside) then BAM! the sun just hits your unprotected eyes. oh no, catelina would not want to be out there when that happens. however, it just so happens to be one of those normal weather at forks. the sun hides behind the clouds, as if it wants to play hide and seek, the only problem now it that no one's seeking so it just continues to hide. oh well.
the beginning of the day had been a mighty boring one, and as soon as the afternoon arrived, the young girl couldn't bear staying inside the house any longer. quickly, she left the house and started the car. she didn't care where she's headed to, but she kept on driving. once she reach the mall area, she decided to pull over and park. as soon as the engine was off, she received a text message. wonder who could it be she thought to herself as she read the text. it was from emery, asking her to buy a gift for the daughter of her friend. catelina frowned. how the heck is she suppose to know where to buy, and what to buy?! and as if emery was reading her thought, another message was sent. go to hot topic. the young girl stared at the message. how had emery known what she was thinking? and as if it made perfect sense to her, she began to think of another incident that had happened not too long ago. what if emery...what if she has an ability, an ability to read what's going on in my mind! she thought to herself, continuing to frown. she hadn't realized that she still hadn't gotten out of the car yet, if it wasn't for a honk from the car behind her, waiting to see if she was going to leave. the young girl sighed and put her phone back into her pocket before opening the car door and stepping into the pavement.
once inside the mall, she felt a sudden chill. "brrr...", the girl said out loud as if shivering at the temperature. she looked around her, seeing maybe thousands of people; walking, laughing, looking and she began to walk. taking the escalator, she began to make her way to the store that emery had pointed out. since she had nothing to do, no plans, she would do just what emery had asked. but what to get would be something totally random, she guess. and how old is the girl? thirteen, fourteen, older than that or younger? catelina doesn't really know. what is she like? she asked herself but knew that no answer would come out. if only emery would just do her little mind reading trick and text her now. but when she checked her phone, there was no new message. maybe emery couldn't really read her mind? she began to doubt her previous thought, but then again maybe she knows that i'm up to something, her mind told her. catelina shook her head. she shouldn't be thinking about it. and with that in mind, she entered the store, having no clue what she needed to find.
ooc; sorry for the uber late post xD

Juno watched as she entered. She seemed to be confuised. Like she either didn't know why she was there or what to buy. Or maybe a little of both. Smiling her polite smile she slowly recognized her. She was the one from the book store. Hot Topic was slowly getting more crowded and she was in the midst of it. Moving over to her she used her fake happy smile. "Welcome to Hot Topic Catelina, would like a tour?" she asked. Without waiting for an answer she continued.
"You might like Hot Topic... well you might if you like rockin out with music..." she fanned a hand around her. "We have shirts, posters, hats, jewlery, CD's, books, anything awesome. And if you're lucky you might be able to pick up a discount to a club or something." she added the last part with a sly smile. Remembering Makira. She loved to go to clubs, and still does. She loved it when she brought her tickets or discounts, or just notifications... And still did.
"So... see anything that catches your eye? You came on a great day."

catelina didn't know how much time she had wasted standing at the front of the store, or at least just near the entrance of the store, feeling all confused. is emery even going to text her again? tell her something else she might need to know before buying that something for this mysterious birthday girl? isn't she going to just at least help catelina seeing as she is the one doing the favor the old woman? catelina knew of course that if she needed the help, she would be the one that needed to do the talking. she would be the one that would need to take a step and ask for the help that the other had asked her but offered no other hints except for the store. how helpful is that? she could at least told her a specific item, or a category. maybe a theme. but nada. the young girl is simply left alone to wonder.
but of course her standing there wasn't the best idea at all, for soon a lot more people started walking in to the store. they were not at all the nicest people, for they had just snapped at her telling her to move or go on with sneers on their faces. quietly, catelina started to walk. okay, so maybe she was at fault for standing there, but there were enough space there that everyone could easily walk in without her needing to move. why do some people insist that she just move out of their way for their own benefit? had they just had a bad day that she had been the aim for the that anger that need to be released? the young girl only shook her head. it was no big deal at all, she just hope that they won't glare at her once again, or even to any other person that happen to just be standing in their way.
catelina sighed once again. the second it was over, she saw a familiar face in front of her. she hadn't actually seen the young girl walk to her, that it had almost surprised the seventeen year old. does juno have a superpower? is she one of them? she asked to herself with a somewhat shocked look. but then again, she could be overacting. it could be that juno is not one of them but just happen to walk quickly that catelina hadn't noticed. or maybe cat had been so distracted that she didn't even hear the girl coming near her? she guess that her later theories might be the best, because she knew, from what the other girl, teyla was it not her name (?}, that knowing their existence is not the best thing. that there are others like them that are much more dangerous. surely, if juno was one of them, she wouldn't expose herself and blow her cover, that is if they are all just basically under cover the whole time. but one question in her head remains: why can't she allow herself to say those words? does she fear that one of these people in the store might be able to read her mind?
catelina glanced around the store, as juno kept on talking about merchandises around the store. she heard her say something about a club, and discounts. the girl shook herself out of a sudden daze. she mustn't let herself get carried away in this store. she couldn't allow anyone there to be suspicious of her. she must think of things that normal humans would think as to not allow anyone of pick up on her thoughts, if there is really someone there who could. stop it! a voice yelled at her. stop being too paranoid for once. you're only being too suspicious. you're only drawing attention if one of them is actually here and at once she tried to shut her head, with much difficultly. how could she do it? she knew that at any moment it would all come back to her, whether she wants to or not.
"er...i'm actually looking for a present for this girl i haven't met" catelina confessed but added with a rather curious look "...clubs?". of course, catelina had never been inside a club nor had she ever thought in her life of entering one. it's probably because she doesn't go out much. she doesn't even attend those high school parties that her friends had tried to pull her in. but maybe it wouldn't be that bad if she were to go to one. unless of course there are a lot of. a lot....them there. for once she thought that she would finally be able to say it. but at the last minute, she chickened out and the words never left her mind. how hard is it to just say vampires?

Juno rolled her eyes. "Never mind. Umm... well, what's this girl like? Is she a fan of anything particular? We usually have things for everybody.. emo-ish, punk, rockers, etc..." Juno watched as she seemed to be thinking hard about something, and what was that look she'd given her? Like she was suspicious of her. Did she know about the were and vampire world? She'd met a few humans that had picked up on it with the way she walked and talked.
"Umm-" what was she doing? She couldn't just ask her... could she? It would make her a little less stiff and a little more friendly. She'd been getting more and more 'social' lately. Trying to find connections that she could use later. Sighing she blurted it out. "Do you believe in things that can't be real but are?" It was one of the coded questions that humans and vampires and werewolves used. It was a question that was actually asking: 'Do you know about vampires and werewolves?'
Helping a customer next to her she waited for Catelina's reply as patient as a predator stalking it's prey. She'd always been patient.. You had to be when you were different. When you were no longer the prey but instead the predator. The stalker that haunted you dreams... That lurked in the shadows waiting for you to make a mistake. To get scared or let your gueard down. Shaking her head she put her train of thought to the side. If she let herself she could think like that all the time. But she watched herself. Always pushing it away. She didn't want to those memories any more.
