Caius was one of the last vampires who would ever socialize with humans. In fact, he strongly condemned it. To allow humans into the lives of vampires was dangerous and risked explosing the whole race. But Venus was different. After all, she was a relation to the great Lestat. And if she was ever to be turned, Caius would gladly take the opportunity. He would be proud to call her his fledgling.
He had news from Marcus that she was in Volterra. He wasn't suprised, but was somewhat curious. He knew she was an assasin, and Marcus mentioned she wanted some sort of information. She would be a worthy ally if anything...foul happened with the Aro situation. Perhaps this had to do with the information he saught.
Caius usually failed to hide his fascination with Venus. He had only met with her a few times, but enough to see a flicker of jealousy in Athenodora's eyes. He usually kept it quiet when he planned an audience with her. She was one of the few people, no less humans, that he genuinely liked.
He hoped that this would, as silly as it sounded, cheer him up. His own strays towards madness were beginning to become too much for him. He was so used to having Aro around, and now he was consumed with finding out what was going on. Was Aro so selfish to go on a vacation without inviting his brothers? Leaving them to deal with the recklessness in Volterra? Caius swore that if he found one more random vampire roaming around his home, he'd go on a rampage. Death would be the penalty for tresspassing.
It was something he didn't quite understand. Volterra was a city, and the home of the Volturi. One didn't just visit Buckingham Palace to pay homeage to the Queen. It wasn't a tourist attraction. It was some place that if you had no reason to be there, you would certainly avoid. Unless you were a guest.
Caius examined himself in a mirror. His white blonde hair, is porcelain face. If it could show lines, it would certainly show lines of stress. He wasn't a vain man, but he took a moment to admire his own beauty. He pulled on moon-blue robe, and awaited his guest to arrive.

A smirk rose on Venus' lips as she ran her hands over her outfit. She knew she looked stunning. She could just feel it. She didn't need sight to know how sexy she looked. She wanted to make an amazing impression on Caius. She wore a red and black lace corset that made her bust look twice as big with black lace on the back of the corset to give the illusion of being naked. Beyond the waist she had a skin tight leather black skirt that ended mid-thigh with slits up each side to her hip. A pair of black fishnet tights were on her legs, and a pair of red stilettos upon her feet. Her crimson hair was curled beautifully, with her make-up on beautifully matching her drop dead sexy outfit. As she walked to the Volturi headquarters with a sway of her hips she got huge amounts of cat calls, wolf whistling and oggling. What could she say? She had flawless genetics, obviously.
With a smirk upon her lips she watched as the double doors of the Volturi headquarters opened up. A week or so ago she had snuck into here for the fun of it, and to get some information on Shawn MacLeod. Unfortunately that little thing had gotten complicated but she was positive after an evening with Caius she would be able to figure everything out, and if she couldn't... Well she was in so much trouble. Strutting through the Volturi headquarters she strode into the study with the doors being automatically opened for her. She loved being human and vampire nobility. It was always so much fun to have everyone fall over themselves to please her. Sensing Caius in the room, as well as smelling that intoxicating scent of his she walked his way with that seductive smirk upon her lips.
"Caius, its a pleasure to meet with you again. You smell intoxicating, as always."
She purred, raising a hand for him to kiss, as was the respected gesture to do in the higher circles. Of course she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. Vampires were rather stuck up when it came to humans. Caius however was different and had clearly seen the dark potential within her. That, and she had such a love for power. Venus couldn't help but be drawn to the Volturi. They were by far the most powerful supernatural race in the world. No human, well very rare humans - her being one of them - , could ever match up to the Volturi. Taking her hand back she placed it upon her hip clearly teasing the male vampire with her appearance, full figure, and physical pose. Her flame red hair caressed her cleveage making the undoubtedly sexy female look even more teasing to the eye.
"It is an honour to be here again."

Cauis could smell Venus from a mile away. The way Bella smelled to Edward...this was something of that power. Not that Caius would ever hurt his wife to be with a human. Some things were better left alone. He had enough to wrap his thoughts around than think of having an affair.
"Caius, its a pleasure to meet with you again. You smell intoxicating, as always."
Caius killed her hand, his eyes watching hers, with a slight smirk on her face. She sure was lucky she had such outstanding credentials...he imagined there were more than one vampire around wanting to taste her blood. He wondered if Venus would ever make the change. It would be a shame to see her succumb to age...
"Ah, and I could say the same of you my dear. Please, sit, I'm sure we have refreshments if you desire," he offered.
He was sure they could manage to get Venus what she liked. There were fast Volturi around with nothing better to do these days. He motioned for her to sit, as he took his own seat. He needed this. Just an entertaining visit without any politics. He felt like all he did was worry these days. She was just the one to take his mind off of it all.
"It is an honour to be here again."
"Oh please, the honor is mine, and might I say, you are looking lovely as ever," he added, quite obviously checking her out from head to toe.
"Tell me, what stories do you have for me from your human life?" he asked with a smirk, as if she was leaving a double life. Caius often treated Venus like a vampire despite her intoxicating scent. She was lucky he had centuries of self control weighing him down.

"Ah, nothing much. Just working on a mission for my master, William. You know him. He was Lestat's second in command. Anyway, he wants me to kill the rat that took my mother from him. Shawn MacLeod. I am sure you heard I snuck in here the other day. I was securing more information on Shawn. I could have got in by asking but I found it far more fun sneaking in. Marcuz... He's quite the frisky devil isn't he? I enjoyed our little... sparring. Shame he doesn't have your tolerance of humans even ones with the vampire royalty in her blood."
Venus spoke, her mind whirling through her memories of the other night. It had been an awful lot of fun. Before he didn't like her teasing him, Marcus had been rather physical and dominant which she had thoroughly enjoyed. It was a shame he then had to become 'allergic' to her because she was a human. Ah well. He would change his tune when she got turned into a Volturi vampire. That was what Venus was aiming for out of her life. She wanted to be a part of the most powerful creatures in the world. Of couse having Caius as a close friend was even more beneficial. It was unfortunate he had a wife. They could have had some fun but in the end he could still bite her and that was what she was most interested in.
"You know I have been thinking Caius. As I am sure you are aware I thrive on power. I am attracted to it. It has come to my attention for a while now that Volturis are the most powerful creatures in the world. I have rather made it my mission to become not only a vampire but a Volturi vampire. Tell me, would it be possible for me to get what I want?"
She purred, sat down opposite as she put one toned leg over the other. She sat rather provactively, using her full figure to help persuade Caius into saying what she of course wanted to hear. Venus was definately not one to beat around the bush and if asking didn't get her what she wanted. Then Venus was no stranger to forcing what she wanted out of others. She never went wanting. If you tried to deny her something then she would slit your throat and take what she wanted regardless. Perhaps she was a tad spoilt in that way but not getting what she wanted... It would hurt and that would bring emotion which was very very bad. William punished her if she even so much as showed a possibility of having emotions. Therefore it was a matter of survival that she got what she wanted at any costs. That way it meant no punishment, no emotion, and everything was good.

Caius listened to Venus talk, with a bemused smirk on his face. He didn't know many vampires who loved the hunt as much as Venus did, and she was human. She was always so full of life...it seemed everyone in Volterra was a shadow, or beaten down by subordination. Venus was life, but she wasn't reckless. She was her recklessness, contained in her beautiful body.
"Mm, while I can't speak ill of my brother, it would be quite obvious in stating that Marcus is not quite the fun he used to be. It is quite a shame..." he said.
He doubted Venus knew the reasoning behind Marcus' lack of personality, but perhaps her elders had told her. Ancient vampires didn't keep many secrets from each other, it was impossible. Shawn MacLeod... he thought, tossing the name around in his brain. The last name rang a bell, there was a member of the guard, Heather? He hardly kept track anymore. If someone didn't enter into his memory, they were hardly intriguing enough to matter.
Venus seemed to jump from subjects almost immediately. She knew she could talk freely with Caius, and indeed she did. So, Venus wanted to become one of the Volturi. Caius was obviously thrilled but hid his emotions from his face. He imagined how radiant she would be. And such immense power. Oh, Aro would be so sad that he was not her master.
"If I am correct in assuming what it is you desire...I would be quite pleased to drink your blood, as if that was any secret," he said. Caius had thirsted for her blood almost the minute they had met.
"I could give you eternal life, if that is what you want, and do not mistake my concern for underestimating your intelligence, but make sure it is the life you crave...but you are experienced enough to know what you're getting in to my dear, and who better to introduce you to this life than a Master," he said, smirking at his own credibility. He didn't have to be modest all the time.

"Master huh? Well, I only want the best turning me. I deserve it after all."
Venus spoke with an amused smirk upon her plush red lips. She had just a big of an ego as Caius did. Even though Aro seemed to be the official leader of the Volturi, to Venus, Caius appeared to be the real leader behind it all. He was smart, violent, dominant, an incredible fighter, and above it all he was very charming. Venus could bet he was sexy as hell too. As far as Venus knew being turned wouldn't restore her eyesight. She of course could be wrong. She had been blind since conception, and she doubted that would ever chance. Of course should her eyesight be restored when turned she wanted Caius to be the first thing she ever saw. She considered him her only equal which coming from Venus was a huge honour. No one else had ever been worth her time besides Caius. Even Christian, whom she had a very unhealthy crush on, was not an equal or anywhere near being so.
"I have thought about this a lot Caius, and this is my dream. I already have eggs frozen in a clinic should I ever want children in any time in my future so my legacy is secure. I am well prepared for being turned. All I need is the best to sink his fangs into my neck."
She spoke, her hands picking up a piece of cloth. She began fingering it, noticing it was silk and began running it through her hands. Venus often had moments in her life where she felt it was necessary for her to have something in her hands. This was just one of those times. It held no trigger to stress or nervousness or even any compulsion disorder. It was just a little habit that she did and nothing more. Her head turned in the direction of the fire liking the feeling of warmth upon her skin from it. Venus was positive Caius would look after her during the transformation and train her after it was complete so she would be in complete control of every pro and con of a vampire life. Venus felt he wanted power and glory just as much as she did so therefore he would look after all vampires he sired to make sure they became as great and legendary as possible. Venus had no doubt she would end up becoming the most famous vampire of all time - and not in a goody two shoes way either. She would dominate.

"Indeed my dear, you deserve the best, and the best you shall receive..." he replied, an invisible smirk painting his lips.
Caius anticipated that Venus would be quite the newborn. Someone like her could go either way; calm and relatively under control, or a complete force of nature. Should she become her own force of nature, it was necessary that someone with Caius' ability and power be there to control her, and teach her. He reckoned she would be fine though, she was anticipating this for quite a while.
The fact that she had her own eggs preserved somewhat peaked his curiosity. Interesting. She wanted to be a mother. It seemed that all female vampires had a burning desire to be a mother, probably because it was impossible. But Venus? He imagined what her offspring would be like. Probably beautiful like her. She didn't need her eyesight to know that she was undeniably gorgeous.
"Your legacy? Tell me, do you plan on having one of those half breeds or a human child?" he asked, genuinely curious.
He toyed with the idea of Venus, as a newborn, in his mind as she was speaking. With her power, Aro would be nothing. He wouldn't even need Marcus.

"I have no intention of producing a half breed, unless there is more power to be had of creating one. No, I intend on a human child, and then turning it myself once it has reached sexual maturity."
There was no love in her voice for her potential child or children. Venus was purely practical. She knew both her line, and all her ansestors' lines had to carry on and to do that she needed to produce an heir. With her bloodline she deserved to have a legacy. She just had to find the appropriate male to combine with her bloodline. Someone with good blood and breeding like her. Someone powerful. Of course her first choice would be someone like Caius, but with him having a wife it meant complications and Venus wanted a rather simple transaction to take place. A wife would just make the whole business deal more complicated and messy then it needed to be. So it seemed whilst Caius had a female in his bed that Venus would have to find someone else of worthy stature to sire her future offspring. It didn't pose a problem for Venus though. She had a long time with which to find a decent male.
Tossing the piece of fabric she had been playing with into the fire she then focused her entire attention back on Caius.
"Tell me Caius, would a bite from you be enough to ensure me a place within the Volturi and these walls, or, will I need to prove myself through some sort of test to get that title? The less time wasted, of course, the better."
It was surprising really how calm and cold she appeared to be. Especially when talking about her future. It was a future she desired and longed for though. She would make both Lestat and William happy. She would give them both what they always desired. Lestat wanted to live forever and stay on top. With his legacy being as powerful as she was - the other spawns that littered the world from his blood were of course nonsequential - and any offspring from her being the same there was no doubt she'd be able to keep up Lestat's wish. William wanted whatever Lestat did so it was relatively easy to please the pair of them. That was one thing she did like about them. It didn't take her to do much to satisfy them both. After Venus became a Volturi vampire she fully intended on taking it over. After all, she deserved to be number one and she wouldn't settle for anything less.

"A human child..." Caius repeated.
It seemed interesting, that Venus had intended to have a human child at the appropriate time, and turn it herself. That would mean she needed a human mate. Choosing someone like Caius would result in a half-breed child, like Bella and Edward's. He wondered who Venus deemed worthy to father her offspring. He didn't like to pry, mainly because he hated when people bombarded him with questions, but he was very curious.
"And so I would assume a human sire? Tell me, who do you have in mind?" he asked, less like an interview and more like a gossipy high-schooler.
He thought Venus' way of life was interesting...kind of in between two worlds...belonging to both and yet to neither. He wondered if it ever irritated her, but he imagined not. She was too proud to ever feel any sort of emotion. And Caius was no professional. He felt emotion for the first time in centuries talking to Marcus. He didn't like it. If he was going to reform Volterra, he had to be hard and cold, like ice.
"A bite from me my dear should be plenty enough; although dear Aro loves to collect magic tricks, I am confident in your abilities that you would make an excellent addition to the Volturi Guard...we are vampire royalty...you belong," he said, as if a a spot had been waiting for her all these years.
He imagined Venus would develop some sort of gift, but one could never really determine these things. Besides, if Caius kept on the path he was headed, he might be the new Aro. That was unless Aro had a particularly good reason to what his tracker had come up with. And Venus, she would be lovely...but he stopped, and thought of Athenodora. Venus would be his partner, that's all, like a business deal. That was, if the wind blew Caius' way.

"You would be correct a human sire which of course would have to be worthy of such a position. I am sure you know how hard that will be. Most human males are so pathetic these days. Plus it seems decent bloodlines have become murky over the years. If it comes to it I will create a half breed. Especially if I find more males such as you around that are worthy for such a position."
Venus responded, a smirk rising upon her plush lips as she referred to Caius. What could she say? If she was looking for a mate or human sire he would be the perfect logical choice in her opinion. Their bloodlines didn't clash, he had just the power she craved for, and she had a feeling he could be that wild dominant lover she often found herself wanting. Plus, he was just the right sort of male personality wise. He had everything she'd ever need. It was a shame he had a partner already. Venus often forgot the name of his lover, but she supposed that would happen when around a great male like Caius. No woman, especially Athendora in Venus' opinion, could be worthy of being with a man like Caius. He needed an equal, but unfortunately he was taken. It was unfortunate he chose a lesser female, but it was his choice and he would have to live with it. Venus on the other hand would have her choice of males to sire her child, and she would pick the perfect one even if it took centuries to find such a male.
"I don't suppose you have an illegetimate son around?"
She asked, in a teasing manner of course unless should a son should exsist... Still, she knew it was unlikely, and even if it was possible the son would probably not meet her needs like Caius did. No matter. She'd find what she was after eventually. Even if it took her several lifetimes after she had been turned by Caius. A smirk rose upon her lips as Caius mentioned she belonged here. Of course she did. Venus had known this for a long time now. If she hadn't any patience she would have blackmailed her way into the Volturi. However, Venus wanted it the right way so no one could ever disagree to it. That way she would rightfully be a Volturi and nothing would be able to stop her. She would get what was hers, and since it only took a bite, Venus wasn't about to wait for when she saw Caius next. Standing up she walked over to him before sitting on his lap and gathering her flame red hair revealing her slender neck to him.
"Then you may proceed Caius. This is what I want and I don't intend to wait any longer. If there shall be no problems then bite me. Turn me into what I have desired to be for years."

Caius raised an eyebrow. He thought his attraction to Venus was quite obvious, but fathering her child? Well, that might have been somewhat frowned upon. If only Athenodora hadn't been so missing in action; perhaps Caius wouldn't be sniffing around women's beds. Was Caius ready for an affair? He was certainly capable, centuries had taught him that. But there was something about it he didn't like, something in his Ancient Roman honor code. But Caius was his own sort of creature these things. He didn't even know what he was capable of it provoked.
"Mmm, indeed, finding a human will be difficult on your part. Their blood is so muddled already. I'm sure, when the time comes, we'll think of something, we do want your legacy to remain intact, and not just anyone will do..." he said lightly.
In his own way, Caius meant to say that if it came down to it, he would father Venus' half-breed child. Powerful little bugger he'd be. Caius had always wanted to be a father...and this child, well, he'd have blood from the two most powerful vampire families. He would only be proud to call such a child his own. But he wasn't ready to directly offer. Not just yet.
"I don't suppose you have an illegetimate son around?"
"An illegetimate son? Not that I have been made aware of," he said, teasing back.
He wouldn't be all that surprised is some woman rolled on in claiming she was his daughter or a man his son. It was possible; Caius had a few affairs now and then, purely carnal love or momentary infatuation. He had no children...not any to speak of any.
As he was getting lost in his own silly thoughts, he realized Venus was coming towards him. He smirked, fully knowing what she was about to do as she gathered her hair and exposed her neck. He had thirsted for her blood for so long, and now it was right in front of him. He knew this was what she wanted; it wasn't some momentary fantasy. He stroked her hair, admiring it for a moment, and than pushing it all to the side. He knew somewhere down the road this would be both the worst and best thing he had ever done.
"And you shall wait no longer, my dear," he said, taking a moment, before he sank his fangs into her slender neck.

The second his fangs sank into her neck Venus let out a deep pleasure filled moan. This was what she always wanted. Of course it would have been better during a passionate love making session with Caius but she knew that wouldn't happen. No male wanted her for love or otherwise. Well, actually, that was a lie. Men did lust for her but most - if not all - never made a move. Venus had already accepted the fact she would be alone forever. Now she was focusing on getting the power she wanted and leaving behind the best legacy in the world. Being turned into a Volturi vampire would be the first step in getting the power she craved. She could feel the blood leaving her neck as Caius fed. She felt herself getting weaker. She tried to tighten her grip on Caius' shoulders but her body wasn't doing what she was telling it too. Her eyes were closing and her body loosening in Caius' grip.
"Caius..."
She whispered, breathless, a second before he took the last drop. The next moment she felt his venom shoot through her veins. The pain was unbearable. Well, it would be to anyone else. Venus actually relished the pain. She knew it was the second step to getting the power she craved. Although she knew she would have days of pain whilst the transformation took place she thoroughly trusted Caius to take care of her. He would make sure his fledgling would survive. After all she would be the best thing he ever made. Yes. She would take over the Volturi, and then bring vampires out to the world, and make them the strongest species in the world. She would produce an army of immortals, and well, we all know world domination would be the biggest and last step in any villan's plan. The dangerous thing about Venus' plan however was that she could and would do it.
( ooc: sorry about the short post. getting back into things )

Caius watched as Venus writhed in pain, his face void of emotion. He had drained her blood, and suddenly, something took over. He was almost torn between letting her die and changing her as he promised. It was odd; Caius was never one to go back on his word. There was something in her he lusted after, and something about her he wanted to kill.
She whispered his name, and Caius snapped back to his mission. He was a very strong vampire. He could handle any fledgling he created. He allowed his paranoia to subside.
True to his word, Caius sliced into his own wrist with his fangs, letting some of his own venom-filled blood to drip into her mouth. Her writhing became slower, the transformation was painful, he knew it. But it should be painful. This life was not for the faint hearted. It was a right of passage.
He stepped back and watched, knowing that fledglings were volatile. Perhaps she would prove to be a Bella Swan, in control, calm. Perhaps she would be out of control. If she was a threat to anyone in Volterra, she would obviously have to be killed. He was sure she knew that. Observing her, he estimated the transformation would be over shortly.
"It will be over soon," he spoke. His words this time were void of any sort of emotion. If Venus was a vampire, he was not sure how long he could hold back.
She was trouble in a woman's body, but then again, all trouble was packaged just so.
