Character's Name (nicknames):Asher Finn Van Fossen. Gender:Male. Age:Seventeen. Category: Human. Sub-Category:None. Sexual Orientation:Heterosexual. Family:
Eleanor Mae Van Fossen, mother, age forty-three. Jason Robert Van Fossen, father, age forty-three. Norah Lynn Van Fossen, sister, age sixteen. Reagan Nicholas Van Fossen, brother, age fourteen.
Character History: Eleanor Mae had always been a small town girl. She was raised in the middle of nowhere Minnesota, where she worked on the family farm with her ten other brothers and sisters. Jason Robert was a city boy, straight out of a wealthy New York family. Both were part of strong Christian families, so it was no surprise that they would be sent off to annual church camps during their summers. Eleanor and Jason met when they were seventeen years old at a church camp in San Antonio, Texas. The two hit it off the moment they met, going so far as to having a bit of summer romance. When the camp was over, Eleanor and Jason did their best to keep in contact. Yet, with the distance, their contact slipped and eventually the two stopped talking.
After Eleanor graduated high school, she went on to college where she studied the medical field. It was by some chance that Jason ended up in Minnesota at a Lutheran Seminary school. The two ended up running into each other and their flame was lit once more. They held off on marriage until Eleanor graduated and started her career as a nurse and Jason finished up with Seminary. Once married, Eleanor and Jason traveled some years together until finally landing in Seattle, Washington. She started nursing in the nearby hospital, while Jason preached part-time at local churches. They had their first son, Asher Finn, when they were twenty-six years old. Wanting to raise her children in a small town like she had been raised, Eleanor insisted on moving to Forks, Washington.
Eleanor and Jason had it easy with their first child. Asher was easy to take care of – hardly ever crying and sleeping well and always smiling. Only a year after Asher, his little sister, Norah, was born, and two years after her, his younger brother Reagan came along. Asher had always been a social creature. His parents had no problems in getting him to make friends, not when Asher brought home a new one from school nearly everyday. Eleanor and Jason were pleased that Asher had turned out to be a sensible boy. He never got into trouble, at home or school. Asher kept active within the community, whether it be playing on a school sports team or within the church. If it weren't for Asher's immense dislike of fruits and vegetables, Eleanor and Jason would have thought their first born was perfection.
As the oldest, Asher took it upon himself to watch out for his little siblings. He always made sure that they were happy, and would protect them against bullies. Asher had an incredibly strong bond with his little sister, who was so close in age it almost seemed like they were twins. Where ever Asher went, he made sure to bring Norah along with him. He included Norah in his everyday activities – like football or video games – even if he was with friends. The friendship between Asher and Norah has grown with them, and they share a crazy close bond even now.
Character Appearance: Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths: [+]super friendly [+]family-oriented [+]romantic [+]sister [+]charismatic
Weakness: [-]over protective [-]impatient [-]stubborn [-]impulsive [-]pretty girls
Personality: It is extremely difficult not to get along with Asher. He loves meeting and getting to know new people, and has such charisma that carrying a conversation with him is never difficult. He can find some kind of common ground with anyone. Once Asher is in your life, he's in it for good. He holds friendships in high regard, and shows anyone that he trusts the utmost loyalty and respect. Whenever a friend needs him, Asher has no problem dropping whatever he is doing to help. As far as relationships go, Asher is a sort of hopeless romantic. He knows how to treat girls like ladies and will do anything to make the girl he fancies feel like a queen. Asher is sincere about relationships. He doesn't like to mess around with peoples' emotions and does well to make sure that no one else gets screwed over. Asher has a sort of paternal instinct when it comes to those he cares about most.
In that aspect, Asher is extremely family-oriented. He puts his family before anything or anyone else, especially his little sister. Norah is easily the most important person in Asher's life, which usually causes him to be extremely over protective of her. He is still dead set that Norah is five years old and shouldn't worry herself over dating. It bothers Asher when she does, though he's pretty damn good at scaring them away through his series of questioning. While overall kind-hearted, Asher can certainly get a temper. He gets angry when someone around him gets hurt or things don't go according to plan. Asher is incredibly impulsive in these moments, not taking anytime to think things through before he acts. It takes a good amount of time before Asher can cool back down to his normal self.
