RESERVED FOR DAMIENNE RENTON♥
Aiden hadn't seen Damienne for a while. It made him highly depressed. He was always looking after her to make sure she'd make it through the day. Her father had died a while ago and he was there like a guardian angel. He smiled as he thought about meeting her in town today. He couldn't wait to see her and hug her tight. He wouldn't want to let her go but he'd have to, sadly. Aiden looked around trying to find her. She sometimes would sneak up on him. But thanks to his amazing vampire skills he already knew she was there but he surely didn't let her know that. It'd ruin the surprise. Plus, he liked acting surprised when she'd sneak attack him. A big smile formed onto his face. He wasn't looking too shabby today. He took his time to find an outfit that would look good on him. Aiden still had to tell her that he was a vampire. He sighed a little at that thought. All he wanted to do was protect her and he knew that telling her his secret would seem like he was harming her. But he knew that no one would ever touch her when he was around, that was for a fact.
"Where is my girl???" Aiden said impatiently has he waited on a park bench. He looked up into the sky. It looked like it was going to rain. He loved the rain and he remembered the kiss Damienne and he shared when they went to her house after her fathers funeral. That kiss still lingered on his lips and he could still taste her on them. He lightly licked his lips and looked around. While some girls were staring at him and winking at him. He looked away. No other girl could or would compare to his Damienne. He would have to get up the nerve to ask her out after he told her everything. This was why he had set up the whole hanging out today event. He wanted to talk to her about what he had become and see what her reaction was going to be. He knew deep down inside that she wouldn't really mind. Since she was friends with Edward and other vampires. So, it wasn't like she'd run away right? He started tapping his foot as he waited.

Damienne had literally jumped up and down and run around her room a little when she had seen Aiden's name and photo flash up on the display on her phone. She had had to hesitate a while before picking up the phone to answer the call. She had smiled the entire time during the conversation, that lead to her agreeing to meet him in town. She had more than a little reluctantly said bye and put her phone down in order to get ready. She dressed quickly, though taking the time to do her eyeliner and put her hair up in an elegant, yet messy knot at the back of her head, pulling a hat on to cover most of it, her fringe sitting over her forehead showing and several strands of hair sticking out around the edge of the hat and running down her neck and around her face. She even picked up her sunglasses, shoving them in her coat pocket at the chances of sun. Then again, what were the changes of sun in Forks anyway. Looking out of the window, Damienne noticed the heavy rain clouds looming over the street.
She grabbed her cell phone and her car keys and left her room. Reflex would have got her to shout bye to her dad at this point, as she crossed the landing to the top of the stairs. She scowled and looked at the floor as she stood at the top of the stairs, having to remind herself yet again that even if she called he wouldn't answer. He'd been gone for so long now, you'd've thought she would have been used to being alone. She sighed before trudging down the stairs and out of the house, locking up as she left. She moved to her car, unlocking it and dropping into the driver's seat. She slammed the edge of the steering wheel with the palms of both of her hands, angry with herself for getting upset again. She let out a sharp breath before setting off. She was going to be exceptionally late at this rate. Besides, Aiden would soon cheer her up. That thought automatically brought a smile to her face. She reached the park pretty quickly, parking up and getting out of the car. She locked up as she walked away, looking around for Aiden.
She felt a smile creep across her face again when she spotted him. She saw him say something, but was way too far out of earshot to hear what it was. It was just kind of endearing to see the slightly impatient look on his face, even though she was aware that it was her fault he looked that way...although, that may have made it seem even more endearing. “Sorry I'm late,” she said sweetly, a soft smile on her face as she finally reached him. “Hope you didn't miss me too much,” she commented, trying to make it sound like a joke. Honestly, she was voicing her own feelings in that one comment through simply bouncing them back at him. She didn't like doing it, but it was the only way of saying something like that without making her feel like she was making a fool out of herself. She moved forward, shuffling herself in between his knees so she could still stand in front of him, but be closer to him, leaning forwards slightly to wrap her arms around his neck in a hug. She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. She really had missed him.

Aiden had finally felt her scent fill his nostrils. A big smile fell upon his face. She was actually here and he knew he had a lot of explaining to do. He then heard her voice and looked up at her. Damienne was so beautiful. If he was human right now he'd be a mess. A complete mess with nervousness. She would definitely have that effect on him. "It's okay Damienne. You look gorgeous today so I'll let it go this one time."
Aiden said to her jokingly. "I missed you a great deal Damienne. How could I not miss you? I've missed you so much but you know me. I watched over you. Like I always do." Aiden felt like her guardian angel. He felt her in between his knees and then she wrapped her arms around his neck. Aiden smirked as he pulled her into his arms hugging her tightly. Then he gave her a slight kiss on her cheek. "So, what has Miss. Damienne been up to?" Even though he knew what she had been doing. Since he was like her shadow. Following her all over to make sure nothing would harm her or anyone. He wasn't going to bring anything up about her father. Because he knew it still was an open wound to her. She still missed him and it was going to take a long time for her to get through her life without him being there. Aiden would move in with her in a heartbeat if it made her happier. He smiled as he took her hand in his and held it tightly. Then he pressed his cold lips against her warm hand and kissed her hand. He missed being warm and cozy. All he was now was cold and stone. It couldn't have been that comfortable hugging him or touching him. But it was nice of Damienne to deal with his coldness just to touch him. It made his heart feel not so dead. "What would you like to do today?" He asked her with a wink. He didn't care what they would do as long as he got to spend his day with her. That was what mattered to him. "Do you have anything to ask me, Damienne?" He asked her. [/blockquote]

Damienne raised an eyebrow at him for a moment. “I only look gorgeous today?” she questioned, with a mock look of being offended by his words. “Maybe I should try a little harder in future then,” she added, smirking now. She continued to smile at his words about how he missed her. He was too nice. How had she been lucky enough to keep someone so nice as her friend for so long without scaring him away or something? “I missed you too,” she responded with a gentle smile, even though he couldn't see it, with her head resting on his shoulder. She twisted her head to look at him, only to get a kiss on her cheek. She felt a slight nervous giggle tickle her throat before she placed a soft kiss on his neck, standing up straight now, resting her hands on his shoulders and looking down into his face from where she stood between his legs. “How long have you been waiting here?” she questioned, with a slight scowl. “You're freezing,” she commented, feeling really guilty for being late now.
“Ummm, nothing of great interest: school, the usual boring stuff,” she replied to his question of what she had been up to. “Though, it does beg the question of what have you been up to,” she went on with a smirk. She clamped her hand around his as he took a hold of hers, feeling her skin tingle where he touched her and then where he kissed the back of her hand. She reached around and grabbed his other hand in her other hand. She watched their hands for a moment before refocusing on Aiden when he spoke, asking her what she would like to do today. “First, I might feel a little better if we went inside some place. I don't even care where,” she began, looking down at their hands again. “It's just you're so cold...” she commented in a low tone, in repetition from before, a slight confused scowl on her face. She looked up at him when he posed his new question, still scowling in a confused manner. “Why would I have anything to ask you? Unless there's something you need to tell me,” she responded.

Man he really wasn't saying the right things today. He wanted to hit himself over the head for being so stupid and saying what he had said. Damienne had always looked beautiful. Every day, night and well every second. There wasn't a time when she looked crappy. Why did he say that? She was probably just pulling his leg of course. "I didn't mean it like that babe. There's no need to try harder. You don't even have to try my dear."
Aiden was trying to compliment her today. It just wasn't coming out right. Oh well, she knew him well enough to know what he meant. Hopefully. He smiled widely as he heard her say that she had missed him too. If only he could just grab her and kiss her without a care in the world. Well, he could do that but he didn't wanna do it right now. Aiden wanted to wait. Yeah, waiting was good. "I'm glad you missed me too. I'd probably be that guy over there if you said you didn't or if you wouldn't have shown up." Aiden looked over to where one of the benches were and he saw that an middle aged man was crying. Looked like he had a ring box in his hands. Poor guy probably got turned down in a marriage proposal. Some people didn't have any luck with finding that certain someone. He felt deeply sad for this man. Who knows? That could be Aiden in the near future. God, he hoped not. He didn't think he could manage to keep on living if a girl turned down his marriage proposal to her. He just wanted to go over to the gentleman and give a pat on the back. Tell him everything was going to be okay. He loved it when she'd rest her head upon his shoulder. Just having her touch him was something magical to him. Aiden hadn't ever felt this way about a girl before. It was something totally new and strange. Damienne then placed a kiss on his neck. It sent sparks throughout his entire body. She was like a heaven sent. He could swear she was. "Oh, just like ten minutes top. Not too long." Aiden replied to her with a grin. Aiden listened to her next comment. Shit! Now, he truly did want to bash his head in. He was going to have to tell her. There really wasn't a way out of it. "I'm fine. Totally fine. Don't worry." He was trying to hide everything from her. He was like a monster and he didn't want her to know the real him. "Oh, right. Yeah, school is a bore. Nothing great about that." What was he saying. He had dropped out in his senior year. His parents death was too much for him to handle and school plus the whole vampire thing wasn't exactly helpful either. Aiden had always wanted to go back though. He didn't wanna be a failure or anyone to think that. So, he planned on getting his GED. "Oh, me. Hmm, nothing much really. Been here and there for the past month. Mostly just fixing things around the house and fixing it up a bit." He had been busy without a doubt. His home needed a lot of work because his father wasn't a fix it man, sadly. But he had learned all of those skills through work shops at school and books. Aiden was smart when he put his mind to it. Then he felt her warm hands wrapped around his cold hands. "Aw, it's too cold out for Miss. Damienne Renton? I'm just playing. I know it's pretty cold out. Um, how about the nearest cafe?" Aiden didn't eat but maybe she was hungry. He'd have to play off the whole oh I'm not hungry bit. But maybe it would work. He watched her as she looked at their hands being entertwined. He smiled lightly to himself. "Well, it isn't exactly summer out Damienne." He said playfully as he got up with her hands still clenching his. "I'll tell you all about it once we get somewhere nice and warm. Somewhere no one else can hear us." Aiden made it sound so secretive when it really wasn't. He knew that Damienne knew about his kind just that she didn't know he was one of them. Well, he had never wanted this. He wanted to be a human for the rest of his years. That didn't pan out the way he wanted it to either. [/blockquote]

Damienne slid her sunglasses down her nose to raise an eyebrow at him. Her heart stuttered a little when he called her 'babe'. He often called her little things like that and it always had the same effect on her. “I know you didn't, silly,” she said with a giggle, sliding her glasses the rest of the way off and putting them in her pocket. She chewed her lip as he continued to talk. She smiled softly as he smiled at her. Clearly he enjoyed the idea that she had missed him too. She could tell that just by the look on his face. She turned to look over her shoulder slyly when Aiden gestured towards a lonely middle aged man, sitting alone on a bench just a little way away from them. She pulled a slight face, her expression saddening before she turned back to Aiden. She searched his eyes, slowly shaking her head. “I don't want you to be like that,” she said gently, lifting a hand to his cheek for a moment. She looked to the man again as her hand slipped down Aiden's neck and back onto his shoulder. She bit her lip and looked back at Aiden. “I feel real sorry for him,” she muttered sadly.
She shifted a little where she stood, feeling her bare legs brushing against his jeans covered ones. She glanced down at the bottom hem of her coat. It really did look like she had nothing else on under this thing. She pulled a slight face. She should have checked before leaving the house. She should have just worn jeans instead of the skirt. She shook her head slightly, refocusing on Aiden when he said he'd not even really been there very long. She tilted head head as she watched him. She'd never known him to be this cold before. Maybe he was lying to make her feel less guilty. “Well, if you say so...” she said, not sounding too convinced. She had half a mind to unbutton her coat and making him put his arms around her. She was warm inside the coat. She resisted that urge, simply shuffling closer still to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She leant her head down, pressing a soft kiss against his forehead. He really was icy cold. She wrinkled her nose slightly before straightening up again.
She smirked at his comments about school. She chewed on her lip. Aiden was a little older than she was, a senior if she remembered rightly. Not that much older than she was really. She liked the idea somewhat...even though, in her head, she probably would have liked it more if he was the older boyfriend. She mentally shook herself, glancing away from a moment. She turned to him again as he continued to speak. He had had to deal with losing his parents too. She'd already lost her mother when she was young and, not long after he lost his parents, she lost her father and nearly lost herself as well. Just thinking about how she might not have been standing there with Aiden made her want to cry. She swallowed the lump that was beginning to form in her throat, pressing her fingertips harder into Aiden's shoulders, almost completely afraid to speak, her eyes dropping down from his as she continued to think. She wasn't meant to be sad today. She wanted to be happy and spend time with Aiden.
Wrapping her hands around his, she felt better for being there. She lifted her eyes to his as he teased her about the cold. She pulled a face when he suggested the nearest café. “You know...I don't think I'm that hungry,” she said in a low mumble, figuring that Aiden may protest to her words. Her appetite had been pretty hit and miss since she'd lost her dad. She didn't really have the will to bother some day. She couldn't afford to not eat and get sick, but she didn't feel like eating. She twisted her hands slightly to lace her smaller fingers in between his. She kept her eyes on their hands as Aiden stood and continued to speak. She lifted her eyes when he said he would tell her what he needed to once they were somewhere warm where no one else could hear them. “A café's not exactly an idea setting then, is it?” she questioned softly. She knew how people could pry in a public setting such as that. “We could just go to yours...or mine if you think it's closer,” she suggested. “I did come in the car...” she added.

He watched her every movement. Aiden smiled as he watched her move her sunglasses down a little off of her nose. She was so beautiful that he didn't want anyone else to see just how much she was gorgeous. If only he could kidnap her and have her to himself for all eternity. That'd be his one wish, to have Damienne forever. "Good, because I wouldn't want you to think that I'd ever be rude or mean to you. I would never do that to you, ever."
He wanted to be her rock or knight in shining armor. Just for her and no one else. It was hard seeing her when her father had passed away but he was there for her on that tragic day. He still felt bad for leaving all alone after that though. But that didn't mean he didn't keep an eye on her while he was away. Aiden had his ways of making sure Damienne was going to be alright. If anything were to happen to her, he'd surly die. He had been talking about an lonely old man on a bench and Damienne looked sad. Upset almost. "I don't want to be like that either. Trust me, it'd be the last thing I'd want to be." He didn't want to end up like that old man. All alone and no where to go. What a life that would be. A sad and lonely life for sure. Something he'd never want in a million years. He felt her warm hand touch his stone cold cheek. He always felt at ease whenever she'd touch him. "I do too, as well. Maybe I'll ask if he needs a place to crash. Since you know, I do have that room above my garage. He could always stay there." Aiden would like to think of himself as a angel. A angel that protected and sheltered anyone in need of his help. It was a good thing to think of yourself as because really he was the work of the devil. He'd always believed that vampires were evil and damned. Now, he was but he was trying to become the good kind of vampire. Which he hadn't seen in a while from any of the other vampires in town. He was here before she'd had even woke up this morning. Aiden was always roaming the streets. He'd always wake up at the crack of dawn and walk all over. Because it was something he liked doing and it was something to do. He would always stop at Damiennes window and make sure she was alright before he took his walks every morning. He cared so much for her sometimes it felt like a sharp pain in his heart. He didn't really have much of a heart left but whatever he had left it was all for Damienne. He knew that from the moment they were little kids playing together outside. Aiden just hadn't know what love was til he got a little older. He had found it in Damienne. He had looked down to see what she was wearing. Barely anything it looked like to him. A skirt and it wasn't that warm out. Boy, she was looking to get a talk with him about that. "You do know it's not warm weather out, Damienne. It's pretty chilly out and a skirt isn't the ideal thing to wear. I mean it looks great on you though. But you look great in anything that you wear." Aiden began to get tongue tied as he scratched his head. He stared into her pretty eyes and just felt like getting lost for centuries in them. If he could, he probably would have. She knew that he was lying about the whole being fine part. Well, he was fine but the whole being so cold thing was a big question mark for her. Urgh, why did things have to be so damn hard. He didn't ever want to tell her what kind of monster he was. Aiden felt like just running away but that wouldn't solve anything. It'd make things worse on the both of them. He'd probably die without seeing her every waking moment. "I'm fine, Damienne. If I wasn't I'd let you know that." Aiden said as he kissed her forehead. She was always worrying about him and he was always worrying about her. They were like a couple just at the friend stage. Hopefully he'd have the balls enough to ask her out down the road. Aiden did have balls too. At least he'd thought he did. Aiden wanted to know what she was thinking about. It must have been something good because she was totally zoning out on him right now. He laughed a little to himself. "Is anyone there?" Aiden said jokingly as he waved a hand of his in her face smiling like a fool. "What are you thinking about hunn? Your zoning out on me." Aiden didn't really care that she was just that he wanted to know so damn bad about what Damienne was thinking about. He felt her warm hands on his ice cold ones. He had wished he wasn't a vampire for this reason. She'd have to get use to the cold touch that he had now grown to. Well, he really didn't have any other choice. He was a vampire and vampires didn't have warm skin, sadly. "Okay, well then we don't have to eat, love." He said ever so gently to her. Aiden was a gentleman around the ladies and maybe that was why most girls drooled whenever he was around them. He wondered if Damienne ever got jealous of that. Probably not, she didn't seem like the type. Then he listened to her ramble about going to her or his house to talk about things instead of the cafe. Boy, she was being quite difficult today or what, he thought to himself. He chuckled a little as he thought about where they were to go to have this very important chat. "Okay, well then we'll go to my place then. You haven't been there in a while and I've cleaned up the place real nice. Well, we'll just take your car there then." Aiden hadn't came in a vehicle. He just walked to town. It was peaceful just to walk to him. He looked at her as he kissed her cheek and then planted a small kiss on her warm lips. She tasted like a candy cane. He smiled as he walked her to her car. [/blockquote]

Damienne smiled gently at Aiden as he spoke. “I would never think that of you. You're too good to me,” she said softly, biting on her lip for a moment as she tilted her head and watched him. He really was too good to her all the damn time. She was used to being ignored, talked over and just generally given all the crap. Aiden was completely different with her. Granted, he wasn't as block headed as her siblings could be at times. They were the ones that made her feel the worst. She was avoiding them like the plague, despite how hard they all seemed to be trying to get her to go back to La Push. She would never go back there. She scowled thoughtfully as she watched him as he spoke about the old man again. She slowly shook her head again. “I'd never let you get like that,” she said in almost a whisper before looking down and to the side slightly, focusing on a random knot in the bench Aiden was sitting on. She curled her fingers slightly as she dug her fingertips into his shoulders as he spoke again.
She glanced over at the old man as slyly as he could. He was completely distracted by his misery to notice it would seem. “Valiant as you're being...I think he'd just want to be alone,” she said in a drifting tone. “I know I wouldn't wanna inflict myself on someone if I were in that state,” she continued in a low voice, glancing in another direction, so as not to be accidentally caught staring at the poor guy. She refocused on Aiden as she continued to think about his suggested offer. “And you know how people can get around here...” she began, pulling a slight face. “He'll either think you're up to something weird...or rumours will start like wildfire,” she continued cautiously with a sigh. The bad thing about Forks was that you couldn't avoid the rumours and small talk around here. Your business was everyone else's business if you weren't careful about it. She didn't want Aiden subjected to that. He knew full well what it was like around Forks as well, but he always seemed to try and help people.
She tilted her head as she watched him, a soft smile on her face. Sometimes, she just really liked to watch him and just spend time with him. They didn't have to speak, just keep each other company. That was enough to make her happy. She quickly glanced down as he did, feeling a light blush colour her cheeks when she realised what he was looking at. He'd finally noticed what she was wearing as well. “Of course I know...” she began, a little shakily through her embarrassed nerves. She shrugged, trying to put on a slightly more confident front. “I just like this skirt and...” she started in her defence, being cut off by him speaking again, the blush reddening slightly as he complimented her. She lowered her head slightly, chewing her bottom lip. “Thank you,” she replied ever so softly. He was so much better with words than she had ever been. She could only go so far with her own vocabulary and ability to talk openly. Admittedly, she was always honest with Aiden, but when it came to talking to him like that, she really struggled to get the words out.
Damienne lifted her eyes to catch his gaze, a smile returning to her face as she felt it steadily cooling down from her previous state of flushed red. She narrowed her eyes, tilting her head slightly again as he insisted that he was fine and if he wasn't, then he'd tell her. “Yeah...” she replied softly, still not sure if she believed him or not. “Well, you better...” she added, sounding a little unconvincing herself. She couldn't really threaten him with anything, even in a joking way it would seem. She closed her eyes for a moment as Aiden pressed his lips against her forehead, making the skin tingle from the contact. “Aiden...” she whispered before taking in a deep breath and opening her eyes again. She smiled, shaking her head slightly as she refocused on him. That was something else he did better than everyone else as well. He was good at distracting her from her train of thought. She narrowed her eyes at him again. “You did that on purpose,” she said playfully, smirking at him and laughing gently.
“Hmmm?” she responded dazedly as he spoke to her and waved his hand in front of her face. She refocused to see him smiling at her. She faltered over beginning a reply as she considered what she had been thinking of. “Nothing...important,” she replied carefully. It wasn't like she was lying about it. She'd been fantasizing about him being her older boyfriend to begin with, which wasn't too important, considering they were just friends. Then, her thoughts had turned to him dealing with his parents being gone, which after a couple of other thoughts had lead up to her thinking about the accident. That stupid accident. “It doesn't matter,” she continued to reply in a low whispered tone, lowering her eyes for a moment. “I'm not here to think about that stuff...” she began before lifting her eyes to his. “I'm here to spend time with you,” she said, a little more brightly, a soft smile returning to her face. “Besides, you have something to tell me,” she added with a slight smirk, raising an eyebrow at him.
She looked down at their hands for a moment before looking back up into Aiden's face as he spoke. He was always so polite and friendly. No wondered everyone seemed to want to get their paws on him. She couldn't fail to notice how a lot of the girls around the school seemed to find it hard to avoid looking at him. Granted, she always found herself looking at him for a little bit longer than she perhaps should and she admittedly liked him...a lot...for a lot of different reasons, but she liked to think she didn't oggle as badly as everyone else did. She tilted her head slightly as she looked up at him as he spoke. He was so much taller than she was. He always had been after they'd gotten into junior high. She smiled as he spoke too. “That sounds perfect,” she said simply. “I'm glad you've been keeping yourself occupied,” she added with a brief nod. She worried about him when he wasn't around her and she didn't really hear from him. She couldn't bare the thought of him being alone in that house, despite knowing full well he could take care of himself.
She felt a blush rise to her cheeks as Aiden leant forward and kissed her cheek, making the once again flushed skin tingle with his cold lips. She was about to chew on her lip when he moved slightly, pressing his lips against hers for a brief second. She let out a short, sharp breath as he straightened again, pulling a slightly confused face. Had he really just done that? Man, she hadn't seen that one coming. She walked at his side, avoiding his gaze as best she could as she tried to process his little action. She kept her fingers laced with his as they walked away from the bench to her car. She chewed on the inside of her lip as they continued to tingle from the contact. She unlocked the car, reluctantly letting go of Aiden's hand to go and sit in the driver's seat, waiting for him to get into the passenger seat as she started up the engine. She was making the most of her car. She imagined she'd probably have to get rid of it eventually. She couldn't really financially support herself that well. “Ready?” she asked gently, still in a slight state of shock, as he got in.

He watched as she smiled so lightly at him. He was utterly in love with Damienne. That was a fact all on it's own. "I know. Well, I think any guy should be good to you. Well better than good, amazing. Because you're totally worth it, Damienne."
He replied as he watched her bite her lip. She did that an awful lot when he was around her. He wondered why she did. Probably a habit. But she never did it before unless they were together. So, who knew.? He just laughed lightly to himself as he looked at her. Aiden couldn't understand why her family and how they treated her. He'd never treat her the way that they did. It was more than hurtful to him and he wasn't even in her family to really see what went down and how they really were to her. But at her fathers funeral they were just as bad. Some of her family were werewolves and he couldn't bare the smell. He was sure that they had caught on that he was a vampire. What werewolf wouldn't know that? He knew that he'd always be here for her. No matter what, Aiden knew that for sure. "I know you wouldn't. I wouldn't get that way unless I lost you. And I mean that." Damienne meant the world to him. Even more than the world really. His whole existence. If she were to ever get hurt, he'd basically die. Aiden knew this and he'd never change his mind about it either nor would she be able to. Damienne dug her fingertips into his cold skin. He felt the heat immediately. It was like he was on fire or something. It was an amazing feeling and it felt like a drug to him. She was so damn warm, something he had missed when he was a human. Aiden was just a frozen Popsicle. Basically and he didn't like the whole vampire thing either. He was different from most vampires but he wasn't given this curse at birth. He had gotten it from a stranger in the middle of the night. God, life was so unfair sometimes. He watched her watch the old man. "True, your probably right, Damienne. I'm sure he just wants to be left alone. Poor old man. Yeah, I wouldn't want to do that either." He listened to what she had to say next. She was right about both things. People were different around here. Plus, if the old man were to find he was a vampire while he was staying at his place. Then rumors were going to fly off the handle about him all over Forks. Which did he want nor did he want anyone to know what he really was. Only a few of his exes knew what he was. Damienne didn't even know he was a vampire. He had wanted to tell her since he had gotten this damn curse but he was scared of losing her. Aiden didn't want to lose her at all. "Yes, I know how people can get around here, Damienne. True, Forks is good like that. Well, I'm not going to do it so you win." He replied to her with a light nudge. He knew that she was always watching out for him in her own way. Which he loved her greatly for. She smiled and he smiled back at her. She had a beautiful smile. That smile would always cheer him up when they were younger and it still worked til this day. "Sure, you do." He could tell she was somewhat embarrassed and it was definitely adorable. He watched her blush a little more. Damienne was his blushing angel. "Your very welcome hunn. I'm just stating the truth though. I think any guy would say that to you everyday. I mean come on, you're breath taking." He said to her as he winked at her. He knew that any guy would be more than happy to call her, theirs. "Well, if you ever think I'm lying about how I am doing or something you can just slap me or something." He could remember back when they were younger when they would wrestle. Of course he'd let her win sometimes but as they got older he had to be careful. He didn't want her to know how strong he was. So, he had to hide it from her and they hadn't wrestle in like forever. Because he was afraid of hurting her. "Yes, Damienne." She was acting like the kiss he had just given her on her forehead was like a drug or something. He watched as she shaked her head. "I did not do that on purpose, Miss. Damienne. I didn't know a simple kiss on your forehead was going to make you lose your train of thought." He replied laughing as he kissed the tip of her nose with his lips. "Did that make you lose your train of thought? Hmmmmmm." He said as he chuckled to himself. "Oh okay. Was just wondering." He knew she was lying of course. There was something big on her mind and she didn't want to let her know about it. Well, it was fine with Aiden if she didn't want to share with him. "Ok, well let's spend some quality time together then. Yes, I do have something to tell you." He had no idea if she was going to still love him the same way after he told her about him being a vampire. If he was a human still, his whole body would be sweating about now. But he wasn't a human anymore. Which made him highly depressed. He looked down just as she did at their hands. He tighten his grip a little more but not too tight. Damienne was shorter than him. So, he knew if she ever were to kiss him she'd have to stand on her tippy toes. Which he had to admit would be more than just a little cute. "Okay, well then it's off to my home for us. I am too. Needed to clean that messy house and do some new things to it. Meaning redecorate and such." He was highly proud of his accomplishments he had been doing to his house. He watched as she blushed more when he kissed her cheek. He had such a effect on her. Just like she did to him. It sucked majorly that he couldn't show her how much of a effect she did have him too. She hadn't said anything about the kiss they had just shared. He didn't know what to think about it now at this point. She had gotten into the drivers side as he let go of her hand and got into the passengers seat. "Ready as I'll ever be." Aiden didn't think bringing up the kiss right now was a good thing. Well, he was really waiting for her to say something to him about it. He sighed a little as he looked at her and then the window as they drove out of town and down the road to his place. He lived a good thirty minutes from town. [/blockquote]

Damienne lowered her gaze, feeling a furious blush colouring her cheeks as he said any guy should be good to her, before correcting himself to replace good with amazing. She was worth it? She didn't really believe that. She wanted to, considering Aiden was saying it, but she just couldn't believe it. All this time and she had never had a single boyfriend. She'd not even had anyone express a real interest in her. It was like she was as invisible as everyone seemed to make her feel. Though, not with Aiden. She imagined that if he had his way, he would make everyone stop and ogle at her, just because of the things he seemed to see in her, even if no one else did. She lifted her gaze and smile softly at him, not saying a word. She wasn't going to argue with him about what he was saying because she really wanted to let it be true and for her to actually accept it for a change. It was Aiden. Sweet, perfect and loyal Aiden. She couldn't imagine where she'd be right now without having him to lean on.
She scowled slightly at Aiden's words about him not getting to be like that guy on the bench, unless he lost her. “Lost me?” she said softly in the same instance as she thought the question. She began to falter over her words before she finally managed another question. “Why would you lose me?” she began, still faltering over her words a little. She didn't quite understand. That guy was clearly in that state because his girlfriend or whatever had dejected him. She wasn't Aiden's girlfriend. As far as she knew, she was just his friend and she'd always been there for him as he had been there for her. She thought about it for a moment longer before lifting one of her hands to cup his jaw and make him look at her. “I'd never hurt you like that,” she said in a soft, yet certain tone. She had to stop herself for a moment before she continued. “I care too much,” she added, looking down for a moment. She had almost found herself saying she loved him. Now THAT would have been weird. She'd probably be the one losing him if she did that.
She looked back at Aiden from looking at the old man and speaking about how he probably shouldn't step in, despite how nice a gesture it was. She'd always admired that about Aiden. He always tried to help everyone else out, despite how people could be around this pokey little town. She smiled, biting her lip for a moment when he said she was right and that he wasn't going to do anything. “Well, it was really nice of you to think like that, if that's any consolation,” she offered with a soft smile. She didn't want him to think she had bullied him out of doing something nice for the guy. She was just trying to keep him out of trouble. She couldn't bare the thought of everyone giving him stick just for being nice. He hadn't ever seemed like someone who would have been able to deal with all the chaos that the Forks rumour mill would bring him. It was all well and good being nice to people, but that didn't mean it couldn't be misconstrued as being something completely different and she didn't want him to become a subject of that.
Her embarrassed blush wasn't going to have a chance to fade away if he kept complimenting her like he was doing. He had often complimented her in the past, but nothing to this level that sent her heart pounding in her chest. The look on his face didn't help either. That cheeky wink got her every time. She pulled a slight face when he said she could slap him if she ever thought he was lying. She shook her head and opened her mouth to protest. It took her a few minutes to find her words again, a slight scowl settling on her face. “I couldn't do that to you,” she began simply. She shrugged slightly, scowl fading. “I'd like to think you wouldn't have to lie to me,” she admitted in a low tone, looking down again. She did her best to keep looking at him once he kissed her forehead. She hadn't expected it, so that probably didn't help. The other thing was she loved any sort of contact with him. It always made her feel closer to him. It could have been the most innocent thing in the world and she'd be the same way.
She narrowed her eyes playfully at him as he tried to explain that he didn't do it on purpose. Her eyes widened to their normal size and the blush returned to her cheeks when he said that he wasn't to know that a kiss on the forehead was going to distract her. She scruched up her nose slightly as he kissed the top of it. “You're just very distracting,” she tried gently in her defense. She sighed slightly when he said he was just wondering what was wrong with her. She was avoiding the subject and it seemed like he realised that. She wasn't going to get away with the answer she had given him. “We can talk about it,” she began, looking down for a brief second before looking back up at Aiden, her head tilted slightly. “Just not here,” she added softly. She wanted to talk to him about it. She really did. It was something they had spoken about several times and she knew the subject would bring them both down, but she wasn't going to be able to hide the fact that she still thought about the crash and how she had nearly gone the same way as her dad.
There was also the fact she actually wanted to talk to him about how she felt about him. She couldn't help the way she felt and she didn't think she could hide it any longer. She wanted to be with him, to say he was hers and to have him say the same about her. That, of course, was all dependant on how he felt about her. She could seem to be coming totally out of the blue with the way she felt about him and he might not even feel even remotely the same way, considering how long they had known one another. Aiden's words about 'quality time' brightened up her mood greatly, a smile returning to her face. Quality time with Aiden sounded fantastic to her. She nodded slowly when he said he had something to tell her. She wondered who would get to speak first. She also wondered what the hell he could possibly have to tell her. They hadn't hung out in a while, but this sounded oddly important. Was it something she wasn't going to like or was it just something Aiden felt he had to say...or what?
She smiled when he spoke. He sounded to proud of himself. It was good to hear that in his voice. She chewed on her lip as they walked to the car. Was she meant to say something about him kissing her? Maybe it was just a friendly gesture, a very friendly gesture. She pulled on her seat belt, waiting for Aiden to get into the car and giving the engine a little chance to tick over and warm up. She put the car into gear and slowly set on off on the familiar route to Aiden's. She hadn't been up there in a while, not driving herself anyway. They had half an hour before they reached the house, unless she put her foot down, but that would only drop the time a little. It was a fair trek to Aiden's really. She glanced at Aiden noticing how he was looking out of the window before refocusing on the road. Maybe now was a good time to talk to him about him kissing her. He was distracted. “Aiden,” she began softly, glancing at him for a brief moment again before concentrating on the road. “Why did you...kiss me?” she asked uncertainly, without looking at him again.

Aiden had watched her blush. He smiled to himself because he knew she blushed a lot around him. It was just this thing they had together. Well, he couldn't blush for obvious reasons which made him mad a lot. Because he wanted to show her that she made him blush an awful lot. Aiden knew that Damienne didn't see herself like he did. He knew that she was so hard on herself. He didn't get why she was. But then again he'd be the first person to actually tell her all of this. Because she had never dated before. Which had been weird for him because hell she was amazingly good looking. What guy wouldn't want to be with her? At least that was what he had thought since they were little kids. He could remember when he had first realized that he had fallen for her. He must have been like five or six years old. Yeah, he was young and didn't quite know what love was. But later he had found out what it was and he had felt that for her since then. Cause well when he was younger he really didn't think much about girls. Til that ripe age of five. He had never made a move on til now because he didn't know how she felt for him when they were teenagers. God, it had been so long for him to feel anything for someone. Well, he had always loved Damienne. Even if he was dating someone else. He'd always think about her constantly. Even at times where he shouldn't have been, he did. He could never get her out of his mind. But that was a good thing after all. She had kept him going when things were hard to deal with. She was the one that had made his cold heart beat. If he had had a heart still.
"You never know Damienne. Life is a tricky thing. I'd never want to lose you, ever. But things come up and people run away. I'd die if I were to lose you."
He didn't mean to sound so depressed or down but it was true. Aiden would have no will to live if he were to lose her. Damienne was all that was keeping him alive. After all these years of fighting and wanting to give up she had changed him. Changed him into what he was now. Well, not a vampire of course but who he was now was because of her. He knew that she'd be a little more than confused about this all. He wish he could just be out with it right now. He didn't like keeping this deep dark secret from her. It was tearing him apart. He then felt her warm hands touch his jaw and she had made him look at her. If he were to have a heart, it'd be melting right now. By every word she was saying. He wanted to be human again. So, he could warm her hands and not be some damn icecle man. "I know, Damienne. I just don't ever want to lose you. You mean so much to me and more." He knew that she wanted to say more but she was stopping herself. Because she was afraid herself of what he'd do. Aiden had been waiting to say what he had to say to her for years. Ever since he had been turned into this monster. There she went again biting her lip. It had to be only something she did around him. Because he'd never seen her do it around anyone else. "I know it was. But I'm glad you were here to make me think about it again. I'm sure he wouldn't want a strangers help anyways. He probably longs for whoever he had lost. I feel so bad for the old man. I really do." In some ways he could feel what that old man was going through. It had seemed like he was being torn away at from two things. Aiden could tell just by the old mans facial expression. He'd die before he'd see himself become like the old man. Damienne was always the one thinking ahead. Aiden had always thought in the moment. Ha, they were completely different but alike at the same time. It was weird but a good kind of weird. She had started blushing again. He could hear her heart beating so fast. He knew she was nervous but yet happy. Which in return had made Aiden extremely happy to know that. He was glad to be a vampire sometimes. These was one of those times too. "Okay, I know. I'd never like to lie to you, Damienne." He hadn't really but it was just a secret he had kept from her. For a long time. Well, it wasn't that long of a lie but it was just as bad. He felt like crud for never telling her when it had happened. But he thought she'd freak out and thought he was some loony or something. He didn't want her to think that either. He knew that she had liked the kiss on the forehead. He wished he could be warm like her instead of like ice, cool to the touch. But at least if she were to ever have a fever he could be that cooling sensation that she needed. Ha, that was something funny to think about well besides her having the fever however. God, she more than amazing. He watched her eyes narrow and then how her cheeks got all red again. Wow, she really blushed an awful lot whenever he was around her. "Am I the only guy you blush this much around?" He said with a smirk and a wink at her. Aiden laughed at her response to him being distracting to her. "I see that. I'm sorry I'm distracting you so much. I should stop, shouldn't I?" Aiden replied with a smirk. He didn't mean to distract her so much. Okay, maybe just a little bit because it was cute to see her all distracted by him. "Well, that's fine with me Damienne." He knew the talk wasn't going to be a happy one. But he knew that he had to talk to her about everything. Even if it wasn't a happy topic. Aiden knew there was another topic she wanted to talk to him about. Like how she felt about him because that was something he had wanted to talk to her about as well. It was always something he had wanted to bring up to her attention but he could never find a way to bring it all up. It was hard to tell your best friend that you were completely, deeply and madly in love with them. Aiden didn't know what way she'd take it either. Hopefully she'd take it the way he was hoping for. Like happiness and he had hoped that she felt the same way. He knew she was curious about what he had to tell her. Aiden didn't want to scare her away. God, he had been fearing this day like the damn plague. He had watched her put on her seat belt. He wanted to say something to explain his actions but he didn't know how to explain himself. She then had asked him the question he had been waiting for her to ask. Aiden had looked at her and tried to find the words to say to her. "I did it because I'm madly in love with you, Damienne." That is all he had said because he didn't know what else to say to her. He had hoped that she felt the same. He didn't want to feel like a total loser. And he didn't want his heart to break. Well, it would have if he had one. They were almost to his house, thankfully. He looked out of the window not sure of what to say to her now. [/blockquote]

tags:: aiden willington. word count:: 1177. outfit: here. lyrics:: 'almost easy' by avenged sevenfold. Damienne felt a little silly, blushing like a school girl all the time around Aiden. She couldn't help it and she couldn't help how she felt about him. That was the main factor in her reactions to him: how she felt about him. Now, if only she could be honest using her voice as opposed to just her body's reaction to him. Aiden was always honest with her...well, that's what she thought and that's what she was going to continue to believe because...well, it was Aiden for crying out loud, she never felt lied to or betrayed with him. She chewed on the inside of her lip for a moment as she considered his words before giving an answer herself. “Life is tricky, but I'd like to think it would never get in the way of us,” she replied gently, slightly taken aback by his next words. She felt the same way, but she didn't need for him to say it out loud. “I never want to lose you...” she responded carefully. She wasn't sure if he even needed to hear it out loud, but he had verbalised it when she didn't it, so it was only fair to do the same.
She scowled slightly at his comment about things coming up and people running away. “People...run away?” she questioned, confused by the comment. Was that a sign of things to come? She bit down hard on her lip. She didn't want Aiden to run away...she couldn't handle that. She felt her heart jump slightly at his last words. She wondered what the hell could have brought this on. She was confused and starting to feel a little bit scared by what he was saying. He once again said he didn't want to lose her. She couldn't keep quiet anymore. “Why do you keep saying that?” she questioned. She didn't need to hear it. Didn't he see that? “I don't wanna lose you either, but...” she went on, stopping herself. Now she was repeating herself. What the hell as going on? “What's the matter?” she finally asked. Something had to be wrong for him to be speaking like this. She'd never heard him be like this and that was what was starting to scare her about this whole situation with him.
“That's what friends do: they stop you doing silly things,” she suggested. She had always thought that of being one of the many things friends did for other friends. It was in the unwritten rules of friendship. “Not a lot of people appreciate the help of a stranger, especially round here,” she concluded in observation. It was one of the many things she had learnt quickly since she had moved to Forks. “You should know that,” she muttered. Aiden was from Forks, so he should know better of the people around here being unappreciative a lot of the time. “It's human nature to grieve for lost things,” she started in observation. “And it's human nature to feel bad for the grieving of others,” she went on. “It's what makes you so...” she tried to finish. She chewed on her lip as she considered how to end her observation. She wasn't entirely sure where she had been going with it and now she couldn't even draw it to a suitable conclusion. She twirled her fingers around the end of her curls as she chewed her lip and looked at Aiden. “It makes you so...you,” she finally offered.
She nodded slowly as he spoke before speaking again herself. “Good,” she began simply. “'Cause you know I'd never lie to you right?” she explained forlornly. She meant it, of course. She never would lie to him...unless she REALLY had to. “And I certainly wouldn't like doing it...” she went on, to make sure he understood her. “...if, God forbid, I ever had to for some reason,” she finished, lowering her head. She didn't have a reason to lie to him. She felt like he knew everything that she needed to tell him...other than how she felt about him, of course, but she knew she certainly wouldn't lie about it if he ever asked her about it. She considered his question for a moment. She should have know her blushing wouldn't go unnoticed. She smirked before finally answering his question. “Yes,” she replied honestly. There was no point lying about it and she certainly didn't feel the same way about any other man in her life, so it was a completely honest response. Blushing was an honest physical response, one of the most honest a human was capable of.
“Problem?” she teased, returning his wink, still smirking. She didn't know where the new wave of confidence had come from, but it was certainly...refreshing to say the very least. She raised an eyebrow at him as he apologised for distracting her. “You think you have to apologise for it?” she went on, still sounding like she was teasing. She chewed on her lip, looking down for a moment. “Maybe...” she started in reply to his question about whether he should stop distracting her, before looking back up into Aiden's eyes, a playful glint in her own. “But maybe...just maybe, I don't want you to stop?” she pointed out with a gentle smile. She let out a soft sigh as he replied to her. “Thanks,” she mumbled. She appreciated how considerate he could be with her. She really couldn't talk about...well, a lot of things out here. There was no telling who could be listening in. A human listening in would be pretty obvious because they were talking in hushed tones, but something else listening in...that was a different matter. There was plenty of those 'something else' types around here.
Settling into her seat, she thought she'd be a little more confident. Being behind the wheel of her car always put her in a more confident mind set, but it didn't seem to be the case now that she was here with Aiden and certain things that needed to be said certainly soon would be. Focusing on the road, a slight scowl on her face, she thought she had misheard Aiden's words about being in love with her. “What?” she questioned briefly before turning to him. She definitely hadn't misheard him: the look on his face said it all really. He had said those words and he had meant them. “How...?” she began to ask, before turning and refocusing on the road ahead, tightening her grip a little on the steering wheel. She glanced over to him for a moment, only to find him looking out of the window. The scowl still on her face, she chewed on her lip and returned her gaze to the road. They were nearly there. Thank God. She didn't know if she'd be able to focus on driving much longer. “I love you too,” she whispered, not looking at him.

Aiden loved making her blush and he knew it was because of him too. Damienne was so cute when she'd blush. He knew somehow that she cared and felt the same towards him but she was probably scared to be rejected or something. Aiden just wanted to grab her and kiss her right now. He still didn't know how he'd tell her his big secret. It was eating at him from the inside out. He wish he would have told her sooner than right now. Because then he wouldn't feel so guilty or angry with himself from keeping this from her. He watched her bite the inside of her lip before she spoke to him. "Life is tricky, your right dear. It wouldn't. I wouldn't let it get in the way of us, Damienne."
Aiden replied back to her. Aiden smiled a big grin as he heard her words come out of her beautiful mouth. He was glad to know she didn't want to lose him. Aiden was so afraid that he'd lose her in all of this. All of what had happened to him a few years back when his folks had died. "I'm happy you said that. I'd never let anyone or anything take you away from me. I don't know if I'd be able to live without you." Aiden had said without even thinking of what he was saying to her. He meant it all but he didn't want her to know all of his feelings for her at this very moment. If Aiden wasn't a vampire, he'd be blushing like a fool right now. Just hearing those words made his cold dead heart wanna beat again. How he wished he could be alive again. Human wise, he'd do anything. He had ran away when he had first turned into the evil creature he was now. For a few months and then came back to Forks for good. Because he couldn't seem to be away from Damienne. She was his everything now. He'd always watch over her even before her dad died. Aiden was always there for her no matter what. He didn't like that he had been gone for those few months. He would've liked it if she could have came with him. But that just wasn't possible at that time. Since he had the need to feed on human blood. He'd never be able to live with himself if he ever were to hurt Damienne or take her blood. Aiden would surely kill himself if that were to ever happen. "Yeah, people run away if they get scared or need to get away for a while. But eventually they usually come back sooner or later." What he had said was true after all. He had done it and so many people had before him as well. Aiden knew that for a fact. Aiden knew that she seemed a bit confused on his running away comment but he hoped that she had understood what he was saying now. After he had explained it a little more better. Aiden could hear her heart beating faster now. She was asking him question after question. He could tell by her voice that she was getting scared of what he was going to tell her. Well, what she thought he was going to say. Like that he was leaving her for good. That wasn't the case at all. It was so much more than that. "I'll tell you once we are away from so many people, okay?" He replied with a smile. He wanted to reassure her that he wasn't leaving her. He planned on being right by her side through everything and more. "True, friends do, do that." He was glad that he had her to stop him from doing stupid things. Aiden had wanted to do so many stupid things before. But then he'd think of Damienne and how it'd effect her and then he'd stop before he finished what he had been planning to do. "Your right some people don't. Thank god I have you. I do know that just not using my brain much today, I guess." Aiden said to her as he scratched his noggin and smiled. He would admit that he was being a little more than stupid today. It was like he was a total blonde for the day. He laughed a little to himself as he thought about him having blonde hair. What a terrible hair color for him to ever think of himself having. He'd look more than silly. "It is, I know that's human nature for ya. Sometimes human nature blows in my opinion." He replied with a smirk. Damienne had again chewed on her lip. She was so adorable when she did that. It made Aiden think that she was thinking about something hard or just because of the reply she had made. It could have been a habit though too. He had to laugh lightly to himself as he waited for her to say what he was. "Oh, I'm good. Well, thanks love." He replied. Aiden knew that she wouldn't ever lie to him. Not intentionally at least. "I know you would never lie to me. If you were to then I'd know it'd be for a good reason. I know you'd explain your reasoning too. I'd understand clearly." Aiden replied. He had something to tell her and he was waiting on the perfect time to tell her. Well, today was that day and if he were human right now. Aiden knew that he'd be sweating like there was no tomorrow. He was just that nervous about talking to her about his vampire thing. Most of his girlfriends liked him being a vampire, even enjoyed it. But Damienne was different from all the other girls and girls he had dated. Sure, he had been somewhat of a man whore before but not anymore. He had realized his feeling for his best friend. He was sticking to them and he wasn't planning on ever letting her go. He watched her blush again. He smiled yet again. "I'm glad I'm the only guy that makes you do that love. Aiden wished that he could blush for her and make his heart beat for her too. But that wasn't going to happen anytime soon and there wasn't any potion that would change him back to a human. "No problem at all, miss Damienne." He replied laughing. He watched her wink right back at him. God, he loved this girl with his whole being. Damienne was now being a tease. Ha, he loved it. "Well, I take my apology back then. Okay, I'll try my hardest to work on not distracting you." Aiden said with a double wink at her. He wasn't really going to stop distracting. He liked distracting her. So why would he stop that? Ha, yes he was evil sometimes. He had to laugh when she said that maybe she didn't want him to stop distracting her. "Ohhh, well let me know girl. So, I can either try to stop or not stop at all. I ain't no mind reader." Aiden replied with a grin. Welcomes." He didn't want the whole world let alone all of Forks to know that he was in fact a damn vampire. He'd like to keep that a secret for as long as he could. Who would want everyone to know that they were a vampire, really? He didn't know one vampire that wanted it to be all out there and about that they were vampire living in Forks. It just wasn't something you'd want going around here in this town at least. He watched her drive. He knew she wasn't some crazy girl driver. Even thought if they were to get into a accident he'd walk away with no marks on his body. But he'd save her by blocking her body so she wouldn't get hurt either. She had said what but he knew that she heard him perfectly fine. But it was like she didn't believe what she was hearing. Well, he couldn't blame her. It wasn't an everyday thing to hear that someone loved you. She turned to him as he looked at her. He stared into her eyes. "How can someone not love you, Damienne." He said as she finally focused on the road again. He could see how tight she was holding onto the steeling wheel. "Do you really love me, Damienne.?" He asked her as they drive into his driveway. Thank god they had gotten to his place in one piece. He smiled as he got out of her car and he started walking towards her side. Aiden opened the door for her and waited til she got out of the car. "I simply love you, Damienne Renton. And I've always loved you." He said to her and then kissed her deeply with all the love he had for her. [/blockquote]

Damienne observed Aiden with her head slightly tilted as he agreed with her and said he'd never let it get in the way of them. “Good,” she said simply, a gentle smile spreading across her features. She lowered her eyes for a moment when Aiden said he was happy that she had said that and that he wouldn't let anyone or anything take her away from him. She lifted her eyes again when he said he didn't know if he'd be able to live without her. “Come on, Aiden, now you're just over dramatising a little...” she said, laughing nervously, feeling a little on edge. It took a lot of say something like that, it had to. She looked down for a moment, regaining her composure. “But I don't know if I could live without you either,” she said very, very softly, lifting her eyes back to Aiden's. She chewed on her lip as Aiden tried to explain about how people ran away if they got scared or needed to get away for a while. It only seemed to remind her about the time Aiden had been away.
As he had said, people eventually came back sooner or later and so had he, but that didn't really address the reason he had been away in the first place. Looking back, she hadn't been aware of a reason for him to leave. “What were you scared of?” she questioned with a slight scowl on her face. “Why did you leave?” she went on to question. It probably wasn't the time to bring it up, but he had something else to tell her and maybe that had something to do with his disappearance. She looked Aiden up and down for a moment when he said he would tell her once they were away from so many people. Whatever he had to say had to be damn important for him to insist on the privacy so much. She nodded slowly, smiling gently, slightly uncertain about all of this. “Alright,” she replied. She had to accept that he wasn't going to tell her right now, so she would have to be patient. She reached up and brushed her fingers through her hair. “That's another thing friends do, they think for you when you can't function,” she teased.
She laughed slightly when he said that human nature blew sometimes in his opinion. “That is does,” she said softly, smiling gently. She nodded slowly when he said he knew she wouldn't lie to him and if she did, it would be for a good reason and that she would explain her reason to him later. “I'm glad you understand that,” she replied gently as she observed him. A smirk spread across her features when he said he was glad that he was the only guy that could make her blush like that. She imagined he was probably the only guy that could make her do other things as well, but that was totally inappropriate right now. Teenage hormones were totally inappropriate most of the time. She burst out a laugh when he said he'd try his hardest not to distract her. “Yeah, right,” she replied in disbelief, noting the wink he flicked her way. “I think you'll just do it more on purpose now,” she went on with a smirk on her face, shaking her head slightly as she considered the situation.
She continued to smirk when he told her to let him know whether she wanted the distraction or not because he would try to stop or not stop, depending on what she wanted. “I think we both know that you're not going to stop,” she teased. Despite how comfortable she felt stood with him and them teasing one another, being in the car, knowing Aiden was looking at her made her feel a little on edge, purely because she couldn't understand what he saw in her. She held his gaze for as long as she could before having to turn away, focusing on the road as he asked how someone could not love her. “I think I can think of a few reasons...” she mumbled before sighing slightly. That didn't really matter because, as it transpired, Aiden loved her and that felt like enough to her. It made her feel content somewhat and saying it back only made her feel better about the situation. She certainly already felt more comfortable with the idea of Aiden watching her so closely.
She nodded when he questioned if she really loved him. “I'm not gonna say it if I don't mean it, am I? You should know me,” she replied softly as she pulled the car into the driveway. “And anyway, how can someone not love you?” she questioned, repeating his previously posed question. She paused in her seat for a moment before finding herself looking up at Aiden as he held her door open for her. She slowly got out of the car, closing the door behind her and having just enough time to lock it before Aiden spoke and kissed her. She felt herself stagger back slightly in surprise because of the sudden motion and the power of it, her back pressing against her car. She reached up, fingers curling around the front of his shirt as she tried her best to mirror the feeling he was putting into this perfect little moment, pulling him closer to her so she was pretty much trapped between the car and Aiden, not that she really wanted to go anywhere right now anyway.

Aiden watched Jaymes tilt her head slightly. It was true though. He'd never be able to leave her all alone in this world. He'd have to be right there, right next to her. It nearly killed him when he was away from her for those months he was. He knew it killed her too just a little bit. She said good to letting anything get in between what they had. It was more than friendship and they both knew it. But they were both scared to admit what they truly felt for one another because they feared that the other didn't care for them in that kind of way. He watched as she smiled a big smile which nearly made him die right there on the spot. Aiden loved her smiles. And he loved being the result of them too. Most of the time he was the person that made her smile. Jaymes hardly smiled for anyone else. She had the same effect on him as well. He couldn't help but feel like they were truly meant to be together. "Okay, I just might be over dramatizing a little. But to me, it's true. I don't know how I'd go on without you, Jaymes."
Aiden didn't care if he was being a little dramatic. He meant it and she didn't know how he felt about her. Soon she would. "Eh, I'm not that important. I'm sure you could, just maybe." He said with a laugh. He knew that she'd probably could live without him. But maybe she wouldn't be able to? Aiden didn't know. He watched her chew her lip again. It just made him want to kiss her more. He had come back, sooner than he wanted to. But it was only because not seeing her was making him go nuts. And he didn't want to be wearing a straight jacket. A vampire with a straight jacket on, now that'd be a funny thing to see. Well at least to him it would be. He chuckled a little to himself as he thought about it. "I don't know what I was scared of. Okay, maybe I did but I rather not talk about it right now. I left because I had to after everything with my folks and it was stressing me out. It nearly killed me, leaving you." It had almost killed him too. Aiden smiled lightly at her. He hated not watching over her and he'd always wondered what she was doing when he wasn't here. He felt like shit too because he just up and left without telling her. That made him want to punch himself in the face, honestly. Aiden felt like such a jerk for doing that to her. Nor would he blame her if she thought he was for doing that to her. "True, they do. I'm glad I have a smart best friend then." Aiden said with a wink. He wanted to come right out and say what he was to her. But here wasn't the place to do it. He didn't want everyone to know his secret. Then people would be like ahhhhhhhh, vampire! Whenever they would see him. Aiden surely didn't want that at all. He laughed when she laughed at his comment. It was so true though. Aiden loved her laugh. "Sure does. Sometimes more than other times." Ugh, he hated keeping this kind of crap from her. But he thought he was doing her favor. Aiden never wanted her to know about what he was. Then again she had known about vampires and werewolves. So, he thought he'd be okay with telling her what he truly was. It wasn't something he could change. He would if he could. "I do and I'm glad I do too." Aiden was wondering what was going inside of that head of hers. He'd sometimes sit back and think about her and what she was doing at this very moment. This is why he'd sometimes sneak over to her place and see what she was up to. Not like a stalker. But like a guardian angel. He liked watching over her. If anything happened to her, he'd die. Aiden knew this already. Even if she denied it. "I probably will. Just to tweak you a little. I'm evil like that." Aiden said back to her with a big grin on his face. He would do that to Jaymes just to see if she would yell at him. Because it would be amusing to him. Jaymes was still smirking and Aiden was still grinning. Boy, what a pair they made. He could always distract her and he knew sometimes it got to her. But Aiden couldn't help it. He always wanted her attention. Yeah, he was in deep with her, love that is. He laughed to her next comment. It was true, he wouldn't. They both knew him too well. "I think you're right dear." Even if he tried it still wouldn't work. He'd go back to distracting her. Jaymes was being a tease lately but Aiden liked it. So, he wasn't going to say anything. Of course. Why would he? Or any guy for that matter. But he wasn't just any kind of guy either. He was Jaymes's guy. "Oh and what would be those reasons my dear? Because I can't seem to think of any." Sure, she had been through a lot this year but he was there for her. Aiden had been her rock when her father had left her. Not like her father wanted to go but god wanted him. Well, Aiden didn't really believe in god but he believed in a higher place where good people went to when they died. "I do know you. I know you do. I was being a smartass kind of." Aiden had knew she loved him for a while but he wanted her to tell him on her own time. Love wasn't something anyone should rush. They pulled into the drive way. He was glad to be here now. "I'm sure a few people don't love me, Jaymes." Like maybe his exes and some relatives that knew he was a vampire. Not like he chose this lifestyle. Cause he sure as hell didn't. Aiden felt like he was crushing her against her own car. But she was pulling him closer to her. So, it must have not been hurting her. Aiden pushed lightly against her and kissed her some more, passionately. Yup, she took the cake. Dealing with kissing. She was the best kisser he had kissed and would hopefully be the last. But he didn't wanna jinx anything nor read too much into something with them. Aiden just held her tighter but not too tight. He didn't want to break her. [/blockquote]
