I drink beer when I am sad 'Cause the beer it makes me gladNow there's nothing left to sing Owen Costello woke up and for once found that Taylor was not sleeping right next to him. He got up and found that he had crashed in his jeans. He headed towards the bathroom and showered. Taylor had had a bath last night. Owen had been so tired and worn out last night that he hadn't bothered to even put pajamas on before he fell asleep. He'd only worried about Taylor last night getting into proper sleeping clothes. For some reason, Owen was still exhausted but he was supposed to hang out with Landon today. Landon was also a father and Owen considered himself a father as of right now. He didn't think Taylor was going to have his biological father. He was almost positive that Charlie was going to die from it. He got out of the shower after cleaning himself off and wrapped a towel around his waist. He headed towards his bedroom again and put a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and white converse shoes. He put on an old t-shirt that was just a plain black one with the sleeves ripped off. He got himself some cereal. He'd come to eat that a lot because of Taylor. It actually wasn't as bad as he used to think it was. He finished up his gigantic bowl of cereal and then washed the bowl and set it on a towel on his counter to dry. He'd put it away later. He headed towards the bathroom again and brushed his teeth until he was positive they were super clean. He made his hair go just the way he wanted it and then he was ready to hang out. He was just waiting for Tay to wake up. He refused to wake that boy up because he was CRANKY if he got woken up.
Taylor finally tottered into the living room as Owen was sitting on the couch watching some cop show. He switched it off as soon as Taylor came and sat right next to him and dozed off into his side. Owen asked him, "Do you want something to eat Tay?" Taylor just snuggled closer and didn't reply much. Owen took a deep breath and sat back waiting for Taylor's reply about food. Taylor finally said something. "Noo. Ee's no 'hungwy." Owen smiled and got that one too. He was getting better at comprehending young Taylor. It made him happy. Taylor said something else, "I wanna go bye bye Unca Owem" Owen smiled and then replied to Taylor's comment about wanting to get out of the house. "Where do you want to go?" Taylor gave him a confused look and tried to comprehend the words. Owen wanted to help him but he didn't really know how to reword it so that Tay would understand. "I wanna go to da pawk." So Mr. Taylor Costello wanted to go to the park huh? That's where Owen was supposed to meet Landon Mac, his friend. Owen picked Tay-Tay up and went to the decked out Scooby Doo bedroom that Taylor actually slept in and pulled some clothes out that Owen had actually bought for the poor kid. He grabbed some shorts and a polo shirt with a pair of shoes. Taylor was almost ready to go. Owen made sure he didn't want something to eat, and Tay was positive he was not hungry. He combed Taylor's hair and then they were ready to go as soon as Tay got dressed. Taylor asked, "Awe we goin' to da pawk?" Owen replied to the child's question, "Yep. We are going to the park."
Owen decided they could walk to the park. They were close enough. He picked Taylor up and grabbed a bag of cookies in case Taylor got hungry in just a bit. He had a habit of not being hungry first thing in the morning and then wanting food at like 11:30 and then lunch at 12:00. He was a strange child but Owen was attached to the kid. Taylor wanted to bring his soccer ball and Owen let him carry it as he walked next to him. Taylor stayed right next to him because he was so well-behaved. He never complained and he never ever didn't follow instructions unless he misunderstood them, in which case you couldn't get mad at him. Taylor used both his hands to hold his soccer ball. He didn't talk much which was surprising for a five-year-old but Taylor couldn't talk that well. Owen asked him a question, "Do you want to see Landon?" Taylor just looked at him with a confused look on his face and then asked, "Whas a wandon?" Owen just laughed and replied, "You will soon see." He grinned. Taylor asked unexpected questions sometimes. They made it to the park and Owen didn't see Landon yet. Maybe he was early. He wasn't positive on that. He sat in the grass and watched Taylor kick his soccer ball around. He soon got bored just watching and joined in a game of soccer with little Taylor. It got pretty intense. Taylor was winning by two goals. They kept playing.

So, Landon figured out that he was not the brightest person in the world. He had managed to get drunk, and married all in the same night. Landon was pretty sure that was the last time his parents watched the kids for him and Leigh because they were not happy to find out that he had gotten drunkenly married to Leigh. Yes, they loved her, and wanted her in the family. But they were not pleased that they had been drunk when they decided to do it. It wasn’t the fact that they had gotten married, but that they hadn’t had the family there with them when it had happened. See, that’s not right at all. When Leigh had told her dad, he had a nice long chat with Landon. All Landon’s dad did was scowled him for drinking under age. What was the world coming to? His father, Toby, a strict man, didn’t yell at his son for getting married at nineteen. Something wasn’t right, not at all. The world must be off balance or something, but all his dad had told him was that he was an adult now, and if he wanted to get married, then he couldn’t stop him. Plus, he and Leigh were perfect for each other. Landon, apparently, knew what he wanted. Yes, he wanted Leigh and he loved her a lot, but married? At nineteen for that matter. Sure, he wanted to marry her, but not yet. He was just getting use to the idea of being a father of three, he didn’t want to be married just yet. But, Leigh and himself decided not to take it back because that would mean divorce court, and that would be pointless. So, now they were just engaged. Heather and his family wanted a proper wedding. Landon hoped that they would be engaged for a while, but knowing his family, that wasn’t possible.
Landon wasn’t surprised to see that his kids were slowly learning how to climb out of their cribs, so when he walked into the hallway, it didn’t surprise him to see Andrew at the baby gate trying to find a way over it. People weren’t kidding when they said “Terrible Two’s” because his kids were trouble makers. They were always getting into things, and Landon was getting just a little annoyed with them. Maybe it was because his nerves were pinched with everything going on, or his lack of sleep. Between patrols, work, and taking care of these three, he hadn’t gotten much sleep. He was very irritable most days, and snapped at people a lot. Especially at work, he wasn’t a very nice guy at work. So, his boss decided it was time Landon had his vacation. For like two weeks with pay, thank god. Landon wouldn’t be able to afford food and stuff for two weeks without pay. The other part of him being so pissy was due to the fact that Leigh’s father had practically locked her away from Landon. He hadn’t seen her in a few days, and it pissed him off. Landon wasn’t a bad person, yes he made mistakes, but who didn’t? It irked him that he was being held responsible for this, not that he wanted Leigh to take the blame, but he was grumpy. Landon grabbed Andrew as he walked by their room, and put him in the high chair. He put some cheerios in a little bowl, and gave it to him to eat. Landon allowed himself to take a quick shower, then get dressed. When he was done, he knew that the other two were awake, and probably very hungry. He was right too, the others were in their cribs, standing up waiting for him to come get them.
Landon was kind of glad that they were all going to the park today, it’d help them release some of that baby energy they have. Plus, they’d have a new kid to play with because Owen was going, and he was now taking care of his nephew, Taylor. It was crazy, but Landon was sure that he’d do a good job. Landon put the other two in their high chairs, and also gave them some cereal to eat, then took Andrew to get him dressed. He, like always, spiked Andrew’s hair in a miniature Mohawk. Landon put him in a black tee that said, ‘Rock star in the making’, and a pair of blue jean shorts. Landon also put him in baby converses. His son looked pretty darn good. He put Andrew in front of the TV to watch Power Rangers, while he dressed the other two. He put Joshua in khaki shorts, with a green button up shirt, and some miniature loafers. Landon put his hair to the side, and combed over a little. Jory, he put Jory in a cute little light blue sun dress and flip flops. He did her hair in pigtails, she looked so cute that way. Finally, Landon got the diaper bag ready. He put diapers, bottles, and snacks in it.
Landon grabbed his keys, and started up the car. He put the diaper bag in the front seat of the car, then put the kids in their car seats in the back. On the way to the park they were! Landon brought his camera to document their first trip to the park, his sister was making a photo album. Landon thought it was pretty cool. It didn’t take long for him to get there. He slung the diaper bag over his shoulder as he stopped the car, and turned it off. He unbuckled the kids, and help Jory, while holding on to Andrew’s hand. Joshua, oh Joshua, he was hanging out to Landon’s neck and riding on his back. Before he let them go, he would have to get a picture of all four of them together. When he approached Owen and his nephew, Landon threw him the camera, and said, ”Snap a picture quick before they run away.”
