There was so much going on right now. She and Owen had become a thing from what she gathered. It wasn’t as much as of a shock to her, but more or less her family. They figured she was still into Damien, but this was not the case. She hadn’t even realized that she was in love with Owen until he’d come back. It wasn’t that she wanted him because she could have him, but it was because her feelings for Damien had been in the way of her true feelings. That happened sometimes when you’ve liked someone for so long, and thought that they might feel the same way, but it turns out that isn’t true. It just made you insane, and well, clearly Ashleigh had accomplished that. She had been so driven on the fact that She and Damien could be a thing, she didn’t realize that until she had had a slap in the face. Maybe it was because she knew she couldn’t have him was why she had even bothered. She and Rhiannon had always competed with each other, and well, Damien had been one of those things. Obviously, Ashleigh lost that game, but so did Rhiannon because she seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Ashleigh could imagine what Damien was going through because it’s happen to her three times in her life, if you didn’t include her mother. First it had been Owen, then Damien, and now Jacob was gone. She knew what it was like to hurt with stuff like that. She hated that one of her best friends had to hurt like that, but it was part of life, and well, she couldn’t blame Rhiannon for leaving. If you looked at her life, she didn’t have the greatest life in the world. Ashleigh never regretted anything that happened between them though because she just wasn’t one to regret those sort of things. Rhiannon and she never got along, and they didn’t care if someone saw it. It was just them, and Ashleigh didn’t care what people thought about that. That was their problem, not hers.
Since Owen had returned, and found out about Jacob leaving, he insisted that he would find Jacob. There wasn’t much luck with that, so Ashleigh had searched on her own, and had tried to contact Pazley, but the girl had left her phone. And Pazley parents were all up in Ashleigh’s grill about where their daughter was, and kept saying that Jacob was a trouble maker, but they didn’t know anything. Ashleigh, at first, ignored their rude comments about her brother, but she eventually broke. She had snapped at them, and said if they hadn’t been so strict with their daughter she would have had the sense to stay, and convince Jacob to stay too. They shut up quick after that. Ana said it well one night, “Well, looks like Ashleigh’s back.” Everyone had been ecstatic, everyone BUT Analisla. And for good reason too. For all Ashleigh could say to her was, “You’re lucky you’re pregnant with my nephew.” Yeah, Ashleigh eventually had to tell her parents about werewolves and vampires because Ana’s speeding pregnancy and such were being to turn heads. Especially in her own home, so she had to tell them. Of course she broke rules, but hey, she had too. They would send Ana to some place for freaks, and her twin sister would die. Ashleigh couldn’t have that, no matter how much they bickered. She couldn’t have another death on her hands, even if she didn’t cause it. Her biological father was a whole other story though. Yeah, so she had a little thing on her conscience, and well, lets just say it wasn’t great. The only ones who knew about it were Jacob and Owen. She hadn’t told Damien, well because she hadn’t seen him since God knows when. Which made her think, where was he? She didn’t let her mind think about it for long because she could hear a nice warm shower calling her name.
Ashleigh jumped into her shower, but she knew she couldn’t stay in it for long. She had things to do tonight, and one of them was to go to Damien’s for a surprise slumber party! Yeah, it was going to be just like when they were younger, except, well they were older. Like nineteen and eighteen. She couldn’t believe she would be twenty soon, it would be pretty awesome. But that would mean she would have to act like an adult, which sucked. Ashleigh had always felt like the adult out of the triplets, so when was it her turn to have fun? Obviously Ana couldn’t be trusted to party because she would come back knocked up with a vampires baby! Ashleigh groaned at the thought of having vampires in the house, they stank so much. She was cool with vampires, she didn’t believe in the stupid feud, and she didn’t have a problem with them, but having werewolf genes, it’s sort of a part of her to dislike them. But, Ashleigh would accept her vampire family like they were humans, sort of.
Ashleigh soon hopped out of the shower, and got dressed in her normal clothing, but grabbed a bag to put clothes and such in. She grabbed old Disney movies that she use to watch, one of them being The Nightmare Before Christmas, her favorite movie besides Alice in Wonderland. She grabbed that movie too, plus some of Damien’s old time favorites. She came downstairs with the bag over her shoulders, and started to look for the food she had bought for this specific night. She put them in her bag as well, and the food was popcorn, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, assorted candy, and soda. All the right food for a sleep over, and to help cheer someone up. Ashleigh gave her mom and dad a kiss goodnight, and said she would see them later. She looked at Ana and told her to stay out of trouble. It was awesome that Damien didn’t live to far from her house, so she could easily walk, but tonight she figured that going wolf would make it a little faster. She hadn’t gone wolf since her biological dad, and well, she felt weird. She shifted into the sandy colored wolf she was, and galloped through the woods to Damien’s house with her backpack in her mouth.
When she got there, she shifted back and put on her clothes. Ashleigh walked up to the house, and just walked in. This was how it was done back in the day when they were younger. She waved to his dad, and asked if he was upstairs. His dad had already known about her little plan to try and cheer this boy up, and approved. Ashleigh walked up stairs quietly, and opened up his door a crack, and saw him sitting there. She set down the bag outside the door, then pushed open the door, ran to were he was, and jumped on him. “Damien!” She squealed loudly. She gave him a huge hug, and looked at him. Ashleigh got off of him, and went to get her bag. She grinned at him, and said, “I hear someone is in order of an old fashion slumber party.”

maybe it's not my weekendbut it's gonna be my year
Damien once again found himself at his computer desk, bottle of water sitting right beside him and a bunch of junk food surrounding him. Being a teenage boy was bad enough, but having the wolf on top of that….well, the family went broke just to feed Damien’s appetite. He often laughed about it, mostly so no one else really had the opportunity to. Hey! He needed something to laugh about. Things hadn’t been easy. He had been letting them eat him from the inside out. At least he had his friends from Baltimore to make him feel better. He was talking to one he knew at the very moment. They were simply talking about graduating. That was coming up very soon, actually. He couldn’t say he was exactly excited about it. He was only going to Seattle. He wished he could get further away without feeling guilty about it. But that was his problem. He felt guilty about leaving his family. They meant a lot to him and were really the only people who had managed to put up with him, aside from his best friend back in Baltimore. But that was just the way it went. Damien didn’t feel like he had much aside from his family. He would have loved to go to Maryland and gotten a place with his friend, but he would regret leaving Forks. The only people that really knew him were there. On top of that, his father had already lost an important figure in his life, Damien’s mother. Why would he ever put his father through the heartbreak of losing someone else, even if it wasn’t permanent and if he had gotten over his girlfriend’s death? For eighteen years, they were really all the other had to survive. They depended on each other, almost like they shared a lung or something. They couldn’t really survive without each other. Then again, they had a very strong bond, one many sons lacked with their fathers these days. Considering that, there was no way he could ever dream of actually leaving his home. The thought was far too hard to bear.
A few moments passed before that familiar sound indicating an instant message had been received alarmed Damien. He looked up to his computer. ”So, are you coming back here? Are we taking that vacation and causing havoc across the United States like we planned?” Damien laughed and remember Freshman year of high school when all of this had been planned out. The two boys were going on a cross country trip that would ultimately bring them back to Forks before heading home to start their college careers, but he was pretty sure they weren’t doing those things anymore. He didn’t know how to tell his friend, but honesty was best. Damien just dove in and told him like it was. ”Actually, I don’t think so. I think I’m going to be hanging around here this summer.”
He knew that would not be a satisfactory answer for anyone. Sure enough, his friend had something to say about it. ”Dude! Are you seriously backing out on me? We’ve been planning this since you like moved here because you wanted to go back to see those girls. C’mon! You can’t back out!” It hurt Damien to back out, but he needed to. He didn’t have much of a choice, especially with little to no money. So, instead, he presented an argument, one his friend would have to sleep on, surely. ”What about this? We’re already on opposite ends of the country. You’re at A. I’m at B. How do we take a cross country trip together?” There it was! That was the argument that would surely free him of an obligation of going on any trip. ”Ok, fair enough. I’m going to work something out there. I have to go now, though. Talk to you later, Damien.” Thank God! Damien wasn’t sure how much more he could take of his so-called friend’s persistence. Why couldn’t they just respect each other’s choices? Oh, yes, because life wasn’t that simple. Damien sighed and pushed away from the computer. There was nothing else that could be done. It was what it was. Now, he was on his way downstairs. He wouldn’t find much there, just his dad watching television. That was all he really expected to find, honestly. His house was dull and boring. There wasn’t much to do in it, not these days. The previous months had been very stressful. Now it was just laid back and everyone was focused on making sure Damien graduated high school without suffering a nervous breakdown, one many people was sure was coming soon. He couldn’t stand their pessimistic thoughts towards him. It wasn’t like he was trying to do any of that stuff to him. It just happened. He couldn’t help that he got overly depressed from caring too much about two girls who obviously wanted nothing to do with him. Ok, that was stretching it a lot. One was just hurt because they didn’t share the same feelings and the other was just mad at the world in general. That was beside the point, though. The girls were Damien’s best friends. He felt like he was supposed to protect him, not that he could really do that from so many miles away. Regardless, the idea was to try to protect them from anything that could potentially harm them. Obviously, he had proven to be the thing that could harm them, at least in his mind. He still knew that Ashleigh was joking with him and she wasn’t mad about anything. Damien refused to actually believe that, though. As far as he was concerned he had ruined everyone’s lives. He was even starting to get on the nerves of his dad. Ok, that definitely was taking it a few steps too far. What was he was supposed to do? Damien didn’t know how to control all the emotions. Oh man! That made him feel like such a girl to think that about himself. ”Damien.” His father always knew when he was standing there. It was without fail. ”I’m going over to your grandparents’ house.” Within seconds he was off the couch and wondering around getting things. In fact, Damien was convinced that in to seconds his dad was already out the door before he could say he wanted to go with him, just to avoid the boringness of the house. Damien stomped his way back up the stairs and to his room where he fell in his desk chair and leaned back. He rubbed his hands over his eyes, not even bothering to move when he heard the door open and close. He figured his dad had forgotten something. He figured it wasn’t worth it to beg to go so he didn’t have to sit around. Obviously he didn’t want Damien with them. Whatever! But he should have been on a bit more of the defensive because it wasn’t his dad. His bedroom door creaked opened. Before he could turn around, Ashleigh had pretty much attacked. ”Hey Ash,” he managed to get out. He wasn’t exactly sure how it had come out, though. ”Um? A slumber party? Aren’t those for girls?” he joked, kind of. Slumber parties were usually more for girls than boys.[/blockquote][/blockquote] TAG !? ashleigh WORD COUNT !? 1,221 GRAPHICS !? me LOCATION !? residential area WEARING !? thisLYRICS !? weightless ;; all time low CREDITS !? <33 @ CAUTION 2.0 NOTES !?

Some things never changed, not really. Once alone, always alone. But this time, Ashleigh would not let it get to her. She refused to become weak again. She had a kid to take care of now, and she couldn’t be weak for him. Owen had left her again, he didn’t even bother to tell her where he was going, or if he would even been back. But that was three weeks ago, and now Ashleigh was looking at her four week old nephew who had a habit of calling her ‘mommy’. No, no way. Ashleigh was not a mother, and she didn’t want to be a mother. So much for Ana sticking around to take care of her kid. Instead she and her vampire stud ran off together somewhere, and Ashleigh had no idea where they might’ve gone. Why did Ashleigh always get stuck with being the adult of all three of her siblings? Jacob walked off the face of the earth with Pazley, Ashleigh didn’t even know if the two lovers were still alive. Not that she could say she honestly cared anymore. It was his choice to leave, he was an adult, as was Pazley. Ashleigh stopped caring a long time ago. She discovered that if you let people in, it only turned into hurt. The only one she could count on to be there was Kiran, her nephew. And that was because he was only a baby. For now of course, Ashleigh knew what would happen when he got older. But she wasn’t going to let him leave that easily. She planned to keep right here in Forks for as long as she could. Right now, as she stared at the boy, she was really shocked on how fast he grew. Ashleigh knew that he grew fast, but damn. He looked like a small toddler, and it was scary. Her parents, they didn’t help at all. Ashleigh decided that it would be safer for them if She and Kiran lived outside the house. So, now Ashleigh lived in the shed they owned with Kiran.
It wasn’t much, but it did the job. Ashleigh taught the little guy everything she knew. She taught him how to hunt, and yes, he hunted animals. While Ana had been pregnant, Ashleigh had been forced to drink human blood to sustain the kid from killing her. Ashleigh sometimes regretted helping Ana. Ashleigh should have known that Ana wasn’t going to change for some kid, she was too much a kid herself to give up that kind of freedom. So, now Ana was out there now as a vampire, killing people and partying it up with her vampire stud. Oh, what a trip he’d been. Good Lord, Ashleigh wanted to kill that boy. It took everything she had NOT to kill him. She’d known that he was the one that had to change Ana, so she didn’t. She should have though, it went against everything Ashleigh believed in. A vampire not allowed to bite, or change another human being. And what had Ashleigh done? Let him change her sister. Not that she wanted her sister to die, but she’d of rather her sister be dead then undead and killing human life. The very thing that Ana herself had once been. But Ashleigh didn’t care anymore. What she did care about was Damien and how he was coping with everything that’d been through. Ashleigh felt so bad for him, and everything that she may have caused to make him feel that way. She has defiantly played her part in Damien’s misery. She would do anything to take it back, but that was in the past now, and the only thing she could do was make up for it by being his friend. His best friend at that.
So, when she showed up at his house, that was exactly what she’d planned to do. Comfort him in his time of need, and be there for him. She was so glad that she had been able to get Owen to watch Kiran for her. She didn’t want to trouble him, but she knew that Owen would do it. Plus, it gave Taylor someone to play with. Ashleigh still didn’t trust Kiran to be around humans, but he behaved around Taylor well enough. Ashleigh wanted their slumber party to feel like when they were kids just hanging out at each others houses, laughing, watching movies, and eating junk food. Those were good times, when life wasn’t so difficult, and it was sort of peaceful. It was when everyone got along, and they were all best friends. Sure, Rhiannon and Ashleigh had never fully gotten along, but they had still been pretty good friends, but Ashleigh was sure that was due to Damien. They’d both loved him, and then things just happened when he had moved away. Ashleigh’s little world had crumbled because her best friends no longer lived by her. Then things just got plain old nasty between the two girls. They had become the polar opposite of each other, and they strayed away. It happens to everyone though, that included Ashleigh and her friends. She might not like that, but everyone has to grow up sometime.
It was a good thing Ashleigh had been able to sneak up on Damien cause, it was funny. The look on his face said, ‘surprise’, and that’s what Ashleigh wanted most. She wanted to surprise him, but she frowned when he said, ”Um? A slumber party? Aren’t those for girls?” Ashleigh glared at him for a moment. No, they weren’t for girls. They were for everyone who needed cheering up! Ashleigh flung her backpack on the bed, and pulled out everything while talking, ”Oh Damien, so naïve. No, slumber parties, well my slumber parties, are for friends who need some old fashion cheering up!” She nodded her head at him, and pulled out his favorite Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. She waved it in his face, then set it down next to him. She also pulled out other goodies that Damien liked. See, she was in touch with her inner child tonight! ”I figured that we could do it like when we were younger. Late nights watching our favorite Disney movies, and eating junk food,”
she told him, then look up at him with a smile. ”How’s grandma?” Ashleigh asked him. Yes, Damien’s grandma was like her own. When Damien was gone, Ashleigh had practically lived at their house. Ashleigh didn’t know her own grandparents, but Damien’s made up for it. She loved them, and was worried herself when she had been put in the hospital. She knew that Damien had to be worried, and probably stressed. Grandma would probably like it that Ashleigh was trying to cheer him up like this. She use to support their movie nights, and bought them the junk food and everything. ”So, what movie do you wanna watch first?” She bit off a chunk of twizzler, and looked at him curiously.
