There were just some things better left not touched. Rylan realized this when he started cooking for his two year old daughter, Amanda. Even the simplest of things he couldn’t cook. It was quite sad really. Even Amanda knew how to cook just a little, and she was two. It seemed that she was showing him up more and more every day. Rylan sighed, and concentrated on the pan and the pancake mix that he had in the bowl. He glanced over to his daughter, and then back to the pan. “Why can’t you just have cereal like a normal child?” It was a simple question, and a rhetorical one at that. The blonde headed child shrugged, and clapped at him. He sometimes wondered how she got so smart, and stuff. Rylan shook his head, and thought ‘she gets it from her mother.’ It was probably true, her mother, Florry, had been brilliant in every sense. Too bad for that drunk driver, she would’ve been so proud of Amanda. And Rylan for that matter, for him being able to take care of her for two years. It amazed him that they both had been able to do it. Amanda wasn’t like the average two year old of course, but that’s what most parents thought about their kids too. But for Amanda it was true, she helped Rylan more then Rylan helped her. She knew how to dress herself, and bath herself, but he still watched her because he didn’t want to drowned. She helped him clean and shop, and told him all these things that he had no idea existed. It helped that he had friends that knew about children because Rylan would be utterly clueless as to what to do.
The little blonde jumped from her chair, and sighed dramatically. Yeah, she got that from her mother because Rylan never did that. “Daddy, just give me some cereal,” her C sounded like an S. It was so cute, and it made Rylan laugh. Her blonde hair had been put into a ponytail, and she was dressed in overalls and a gray t-shirt. Rylan had no idea where she got that fashion sense from because he dressed very stylish. It surprised him that she preferred to dress so boyish, but from what people told him, it was normal for a girl when raised by a man, to dress more like a boy. That the girl felt more obligated to be boyish then girlish. Rylan had told Amanda that he would love her all the same, no matter how she wanted to dress. Still, she dressed like a boy. Rylan didn’t care, and would buy her whatever clothes she wanted, and wouldn’t force something on her like all these other strict parents did. He fed her some cereal, then went to get dressed for the day. He wasn’t really going to do much, maybe hang with Daisy, his best friend of all time. She’d been there for him through thick and thin. She was pretty amazing, and well, that just about summoned her up. Besides that she was really pretty, and helped out with Amanda a lot. After Rylan got dressed, he drove to Amanda’s friends house. They were having a birthday party, and she wanted to go.
Rylan shook hands with the boys father, and talked to him for a while. He watched as Amanda interacted with the other kids, and he noticed how she never really hung out with the other girls, and that it was mostly the boys. Rylan couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty for this. He leaned up against the doorframe, and watched her as she turned around and waved him and a big smile on her face. He smiled back at her, and felt a little less guilty. If she was happy, that’s what counted. Rylan didn’t want her to grow up, he wanted her to stay at this age because if she grew, he would lose her. And then that would also mean he was getting older, and that he would be getting older alone. Rylan sighed, and called to Amanda that they needed to leave. She bounded to him, her bouncing, blonde hair going everywhere from her ponytail. It surprised him how much energy she had for a two year, but he wasn’t complaining. They were at Daisy’s house in twenty minutes because they had to stop so he could feed her. Obviously cake and pizza didn’t fill her up, so he stopped and got her a popsicle from the store.
The funny thing was that Amanda was asleep by the time they showed up. He picked her up from the backseat, and walked into the house. “Daisy, I’m here,”
he called out. He laid Amanda on the couch to let her snooze. Rylan followed Daisy’s scent to where she was. He smiled at her, and said, “Hello ma’am.” [/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGS?!

Daisy hadn't had anything great in her life for such a long time. Then Rylan and his sweet daughter came into her life. She was so happy now and she couldn't believe she'd find someone so right for her. Daisy hadn't been doing much lately. She had to work tomorrow and start her nursing job. Which was something she was totally stocked for. She was busy making some cake and cookies right now. For Rylan and Amanda. They would be here later tonight after Amandas friends birthday party. She was so adorable and Rylan made a great father. Amanda was a handful for him but Daisy usually kept her under control when they came over. Like with her old toys or she'd sometimes read to Amanda. Daisy liked helping Rylan out whenever she could with miss Amanda. She wasn't that bad of a two year old, surprisingly. She listened to Daisy sometimes better than she did with Rylan which just made Daisy laugh. But she loved them both and she was glad to have them both in her life. Even if Amanda wasn't hers by blood, Daisy felt a connection with Rylans daughter. A good connection and she'd always be there for Amanda. She could tell they were at her house when she heard Rylans car pull up in her driveway. A big smile fell upon Daisy's face.
Daisy heard Rylan's voice as she started pulling the cookies tray out of the oven and put them on a heat rack to cool off and then she put her cake batter in for the cake to bake. Chocolate chip cookies and a confetti cake with vanilla frosting. The vanilla filled the room as the cake baked. She heard Rylan behind her and say hello. "Hello kind sir."
Daisy replied as she walked up to him and hugged him tightly. She looked around the corner to the living room and saw Amanda passed out on the couch. Daisy laughed a little bit to herself. "I see she got tired from that birthday party, huh?" Daisy looked at Rylan as she made some more cookies. She knew that Rylan was always hungry whenever he came over. It was a good thing she knew how to cook and bake. "Did you eat already?" She was going to make a mean lasagna for dinner. Daisy was always hungry and ready to eat. She definitely was extraordinary from most girls. A little sigh escaped from her mouth as she looked at the oven. Only thirty more minutes til the cake was done. Then she'd have to put the frosting on and some sprinkles. She wanted to wake Amanda up and play with her. But she knew Amanda had a good day playing with her other friends. Daisy took it upon herself to put Amanda in the guest room to sleep. She walked towards the living room and gently put Amanda in her arms as she carried her to the guest room. Daisy put a blanket over Amanda as she kissed her forehead and left the door half way open. Just in case she did wake up. She walked back out to where Rylan was, the kitchen. "I'm guessing she had a blast at her friends birthday party?" She asked Rylan as she put some of the cookies in her cookie monster cookie jar. Yeah, Amanda totally loved Daisy's cookie jar. It made Daisy smile as she put all the cookies into it. She just stood there looking at him. [/blockquote]

Life wasn’t exactly normal for Rylan, he sure had his ups and downs. What person didn’t, right? For one he had a two year old daughter, something that most nineteen years olds didn’t have, but he loved his daughter. She was everything a kid could be, and she was oh so smart. It kind of scared Rylan of how smart she was, but he figured she was just was just a genius in the making. Of course, everyone knew, that she didn’t get that gene from him. He wasn’t the brightest crayon in the crayon box. So, Amanda clearly got her smarts from her mother, Florry. There were a few things Rylan did wonder about, one of them was whether or not Amanda would grow up to be like him. Meaning she would phase into a wolf, he didn’t want that for her. Rylan wanted his daughter’s life to be as normal as possible. But he got that gut feeling that it probably wouldn’t be like that. She had a wolf for a father, she wouldn’t exactly get that normal life. Rylan was thankful for another girl in his life, his best friend Daisy of course. When Rylan had to go patrol, Daisy was always there to watch Amanda for him. And the good thing was that Amanda really liked Daisy, so it all worked. Or when Rylan had to work, Daisy was always there to watch the little kid. Rylan really couldn’t repay Daisy, except with his life. She would certainly get that too. There was just something about Daisy that had Rylan wanting to get on his knees for her. He couldn’t help it, she was just amazing. He couldn’t explain it, he knew it wasn’t imprinting, but it was pretty close. Well, for him anyways. One thing Rylan loved about Daisy, besides her amazing personality and good looks, was her amazing baking skills. Rylan’s mouth melted every time he ate her cake and cookies.
Rylan could smell her cooking, and it made his werewolf stomach growl with hunger. Oh yes, Rylan was going to chow down on here amazing food with pride. Rylan was surprised to see that Amanda was still sleeping, she usually, like Rylan, woke at the smell of food. It’s true, she was a food fanatic. It was funny, but boy was she picky about things. Kind of reminded him of Florry and how she was always picky about what went on her pizza. Another trait inherited from her mother. Rylan didn’t really care as long as onions weren’t anywhere near it. Onions were so gross, and it made your breath smell bad. How could he talk to someone with onion breath? Rylan happily hugged Daisy back, just not as tightly. He didn’t want to break her or anything. That’d be sad, and then who would feed him good food? Rylan looked back at Amanda, and said, ”Yeah, she went nuts. She had fun though, so that’s all that matters.” Rylan glanced over at Daisy and smiled. ”I’m always hungry, you know that. That’s why your fig and cabinets are always stocked,”
he said laughing. Sadly, this was probably true. He loved to eat, and there was no stopping it. Unless he stopped phasing, but he wasn’t ready for that. He actually liked turning into a big fur ball, it helped him release some of that energy that gets stored in him all the time. It was just an awesome way to let everything out when he needed it. Rylan made himself comfy on the kitchen counter, and let his eyes follow Daisy as she went to put Amanda in the guest bedroom. Rylan wasn’t looking at her like, “Damn she’s fine”. It was more of a, “Damn, I can’t get any better then this” look. And in truth, he couldn’t. No one could compare to Daisy, she just had that thing about her that made every girl jealous. She wasn’t afraid to be one of the boys, but she also had that girly side, which Rylan loved about her. He was hoping that once Amanda was older that maybe the girly side would rub off on Amanda. She was glad that Amanda had some female figure in her life, Rylan didn’t want Amanda to think that she had to be one of the boys just to please her dad. She didn’t, he would love her no matter what. A lot of people didn’t understand that, but they just don’t understand Rylan. Most parent’s told their kids what to wear, but Rylan let Amanda chose. Most parent’s told their kids what to eat in the morning, Amanda told Rylan what she wanted. He let her be independent. She was a strong soul, and if he let her do things on her own early, she would always be that way. It would help her in the long run, Rylan knew it. Rylan snorted, and said, ”More then a blast if she’s knocked out like that. It takes an army to bring that kid down. Do you know it took me two hours to get her to sleep last night?” Yeah, kind of ridiculous. ”Yes, to answer your question though, she had a blast. Just never get her a water gun for Christmas. She’d deadly.” Rylan laughed slightly. His kid was a killing machine with a water gun. No doubt she could bring down the best of the best. ”And how are you doing, Ms. Romance,” he asked her while watching her. [/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGS?!
