Lucas was so confused with what he felt when he was around Kennedy. He didn’t honestly didn’t know what the hell to do. The only thing Lucas could think of was to go out on a date with her, and here he was. Lucas wasn’t one for dating much, but he was going to try. He never imagined himself ever doing this, he always pictured him moving on to the next one before they could open their eyes in the morning. He never pictured himself wanting to settle down with one person. That was until he met Kennedy. Then she just messed up everything in his head, but he wasn’t quite sure she knew she did that to him. Lucas was pretty sure she was clueless on the whole situation. He couldn’t honestly tell anyone or even himself, why he was still with her. Lucas didn’t know if it was just her, or what. But it was confusing him really badly, and he desperately wanted to figure it out. He wanted to know if maybe she felt what he did, that he wasn’t going completely crazy for trying anything with her. What really confused Lucas was that he didn’t want a sexual relationship with Kennedy. He wanted to get to know her, and wanted to know what she was all about. Lucas couldn’t remember a time when he wanted that with a girl. He’d always been a one night stand man, unless the girl was just an easy lay, then maybe he’d see her again. But that was a maybe. Now that he started to think about, Lucas felt kind of bad. The way he’s treated people, it was terrible. Well, he knew very well that he couldn’t change what’s been done, but the things he’s done will always be in the back of his mind.
There are just some things that needed to be done slowly, Lucas knew that. He also knew that this relationship, if you could call it that, was going to be very slow. Lucas still had that side of him where his mind was telling him to run now, and save himself the grief. Another part of Lucas was saying for him to stay, and see what happens between them. Lucas was hesitant, like always, but he wanted to try it out and see what would happen. He couldn’t say it would last very long though. Lucas was pretty sure that he’d either get bored or Kennedy would just tell him to stop coming over. Either way, Lucas was setting himself up for destruction, but he didn’t care. He couldn’t see himself anywhere else but right there, with Kennedy. At the moment, he didn’t want anything more then to be her friend. He was pretty sure her innocence of the world would always be with her, but that was okay with Lucas. He thought that was a sort of good thing. That there was still some sort of innocence in the world, and that no matter what, they couldn’t destroy it. Kennedy was that little shining light on the world, and she would be the one to accidentally start the revolution on bring back innocence to the world. That’d be sort of funny, but he could picture it. He couldn’t say he would change himself for that whole purpose, but he’d be there to help her if she ever needed it. It didn’t matter what it was, Lucas would help her with it. Well, maybe not. If it was murder, he’d have to think about it. It all depended on the person, but he doubted that Kennedy would ever want to kill someone anyways. There just were no words for Lucas to use to tell people just exactly what he would do for Kennedy. Lucas defiantly wouldn’t call it love, but it was pretty darn close. It was hard for Lucas to explain, but it wasn’t love. Not yet anyways. It might get there one day, but not yet. He had a brotherly/sisterly love for Kennedy. He felt the need to protect her from things, like the cruelty of the world. That was something he wanted to keep away from her.
But today, Lucas was going to see Kali. The one girl Lucas hadn’t slept with other then Kennedy. Kali was too much like a little sister for that. Apparently she had gotten herself in a pickle, and Lucas was going to La Push to talk to her, and catch up. Something they hadn’t done in forever. So, Lucas was now driving out to Kali’s house. It wouldn’t take Lucas that long to get there, which was good. So, when he arrived at her doorstep ten minutes later, Lucas wasn’t surprised. He knocked on her door, and opened it slightly. ”Kali, I’m here,” Lucas shouted while walking in the house.

Kali was in the house, she had been in the house all day. She liked her house, it was quiet and it was her own. She was still laying on the couch just thinking when she decided to get a shower and get ready. She walked into the bathrom. The mirror was something she avoided unless she was getting ready. It was always hard to look at herself because she didn't like what she saw. Her parents were on her case always the whole time she was growing up and now she stared at the bottle of pills that definitely didn't come from a doctor, she had been taking them since she was 17. The bottle made her angry, it made her sad, it made her every emotion except for the good ones, those pills ran her life. She finally got in and out of the shower without hardly thinking about anything and then she finally had to look into a mirror. Her eyes had their normal dark circles from her lack of sleep and her skin had it's same pale look it had since she realized she was actually addicted to her 'medication'. She looked like hell if the truth was known and as she was getting herself ready she couldn't help but feel disgusted with what she saw, she needed help, someone to help her get away from all the stupid stuff she was doing.
Kali's mother was always most of the reason to explain why Kali did the things she did. Her mother was a rough character, she always judged. Kali's fondest memories of her mother was when her mother taught her to put make up on, but Kali always remembered the drink that was constantly glued to her hand. What a drunk that woman was and the hatred Kali felt for her could not be measured in words so instead she measured it with pills. It was the easiest thing to start and as she has realized, the hardest thing to stop. That's why Lucas was coming over, Kali wanted to flush those little devils down the toilet and finally be done with it all, after all it wasn't like she needed them. She had her own house away from her parents and she didn't need to take them anymore, she didn't need them. Again she looked in the mirror and whispered to herself, "Today is the day, I won't need these anymore."
She walked back into the living room with her bottle of pills in her hand and sat them on the coffee table in front of the couch where she sat. She hadn't taken any this morning and she was already starting to get a headache from the withdrawl, her body was used to taking about 10 of them a day. She stared at the bottle with a lust, she needed them. Her body wanted them. She knew in her heart that she didn't want them but her brain was telling her different. She got up off the couch again but this time into the kitchen for a bottle of water. She took a sip and breathed in and out, this was therapy, this was easy. Her head was still giving silent throbs when she heard her front door open along with the familiar voice of a guy she had called her brother for years, he was her best friend and at this point in her life she needed him.
She walked out of the kitchen and into the living room to greet him. She huged him. "Thank you for coming over, i need you right now.... and by the way, your the only person that doesn't use to doorbell." She laughed at her last comment, he was the only person that knew he didn't have to use the doorbell, the only person that Kali had ever trusted.

How could Ellie do something like that? How could she tell Lucas not to see Kennedy anymore? She had no right to say what she did to him that day, but since Lucas had seen her that day he hadn’t been over to see Kennedy. Lucas was furious with Ellie, but something told him not to cross her. But he could help but be angry with her! She didn’t know what she was talking about. Lucas wasn’t the same guy she’d known back in the day. He hardly partied anymore because he was almost always with Kennedy. Lucas was hardly a bad influence on her. All they did was talk, it wasn’t like he was trying to get into Kennedy’s pants, he just wasn’t like that. He didn’t want to get in her pants, he just wanted to talk to her. There was something about Kennedy that made Lucas come back everyday, or when he could anyways. So, Ellie had no right to say that he couldn’t see her sister anymore. Lucas stormed around his apartment thinking of a way he could see Kennedy with out Ellie knowing, but his mind couldn’t think of anything. All he could think about was how and WHEN Ellie decided to tell him to stay away from Kennedy. She could have waited till they were alone, and not announce it to his work place. He got chewed out for that one, the boss man did not like that he had some crazy ass blonde chick in his place yelling at Lucas. Yeah, Lucas didn’t like it much either. Lucas couldn’t help how he felt towards Kennedy, so having heard Ellie say what she did just made him more angry. He really needed to stop replaying the scene in his head before he broke something.
Lucas didn’t know exactly why he was going to Kali’s house for, but she had called all up set, so he had to rush to her rescue again. Lucas understood what she was going through, she lived in a messed up house, addicted to carp that wasn’t good for her. She needed someone strong to be there to help her through everything. That was something Lucas didn’t have when he was growing up, so he was more then willing to cut work to help out his little sister. Not that she was really his little sister, she was just like his little sister, he felt protective of her. He couldn’t help it, it was just apart of who he was. Lucas didn’t want to change that about himself, he had heard it was a really good quality to have. Lucas didn’t really know, but he planned to keep the little qualities he did have, it seemed like the best thing right now. He had to find someway to get Ellie back on his side, and he wasn’t going to do that if he had all these terrible qualities. When Lucas arrived at Kali’s house, he was greeted by a nice hug, he missed giving her hugs. It had been sometime since he had seen her, so it was always nice to catch up with her. Lucas smiled kindly at her, she was another person who was able to get a real smile out of his besides Kennedy. Lucas said, ”You know I’m always here for you.” Lucas glanced at the door and laughed as well. ”Well, I’m just that special I guess,”
[/color] he told her closing the door. Lucas walked over to the couch, and sat down. He patted the seat next to him, and asked, Kali, ”So, what’s up? You sounded upset on the phone.”[/color] He brushed away the hair in his face, and looked around the place. His eyes landed on a bottle of pills, then looked at Kali. Lucas groaned, and said, ”Kali, I know you aren’t still popping pills.”[/color] Lucas’s face was stern, but still sympathetic. He didn’t like her popping pills, but he knew was she was going through. He’d been there before too, but now he was clean. Most of the time, but that was just smoking the green, not popping pills. Lucas was over that, and have been clean for almost two years. He was pretty sure that’s how he and Kali had first met, a party and popping pills together. They’d hit it off pretty well, but Lucas never felt that type of attraction to her, it was more a brotherly love. It was nothing compared on what he felt towards Kennedy, that love was something beyond words of description for Lucas. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size][/color]
