i'm only sure onething that's you right now
A lot of things had happened over the course of the time that Leigh had been officially dating Landon. They both grew closer. They became, in some ways, a little more mature due to the fact of having three children to raise. They endured criticism from Andi’s parents. There had been sleepless nights. Some fights that led to Leigh stomping off home so she didn’t have to see Landon’s face all for her to turn around halfway home and come back apologizing. They had their very sweet, romantic moments, and then some goofy ones. More than anything lately, there had been a lot of stress. With the triplets approaching what her father warned her would be their terrible twos, things seemed to get very stressful. Leigh now envied anyone that just had one baby to deal with. And if any of those parents had anything about raising three, she would gladly hand them the three she had to take care of, even though she did love them dearly. All stress really got to her. She was positive it was beginning to get to Landon, too. As immobile infants, it was easy to keep them out of trouble. As toddlers who were curious about everything, it was a bit more difficult. Days seemed endless and both Leigh and Landon were beyond exhausted by the end of the day. All they needed, she decided was one weekend or even a day, just to be alone. They needed to spend time together on their own for just one day. They needed to have no babies involved. That was what would be perfect.
Leigh spent weeks begging her father to just watch the triplets while she and Landon could get a break. Her father’s response was that he loved the three children as though they were his blood, but that they simply did not have the time to watch them. The next step was to go to Landon’s parents, something that didn’t frighten Leigh at all. She had been family to them for as long as she could remember. They treated her like their daughter and were more than glad to have her in their family. And, luckily for her, decided she and Landon had probably earned some time away from the kids. It wasn’t like they got out often. They usually hung out with friends, but while one did that, the other was with the three little ones. They hardly ever had a date, usually on the days when Andi’s parents had the children. That, Leigh decided, was the perfect time to surprise Landon with the weekend away in Seattle. They wouldn’t be far away, in case something major happened, but they could get away. That was her pitch when he opened the card she gave him. Of course, she was pretty sure she didn’t need to do that much. The two really needed some time alone before they both lost it completely.
And so the weekend began. As soon as the children were given to Landon’s parents, he and Leigh were on their way to Seattle. She had to admit that it was kind of odd for her. She never actually went away for a while with anyone she was dating. Then again, she never stayed at their house either and she pretty much had a permanent residence at Landon’s house now. It kind of became hers, too. Hell, she woke up there much more often than she did in the house she grew up in. Still, she always woke up to someone screaming or crying. Granted, she had grown used to that by now. All that Leigh really wanted was to feel like she was in a relationship with him that didn’t involve extreme responsibility if only for one night. That would be enough for her. As selfish as it was, she wanted Landon for herself, no one or anything in the way, regardless of how important they were to both of them. There was something she felt like she was missing out on with him, some sort of physical relationship that lacked seriously. That wasn’t to say there was nothing between. There was an honest fire between Landon and Leigh that had been burning for several years. Now that they finally acknowledged it, there were either people doubting whether or not it would last or children constantly needing something. When did they get a break? Most couples got a break every once in a while, right? Then again, they were usually married when they did this sort of parental thing. There was something about that little detail that made things so much easier.
That aside, the weekend was theirs to do whatever the hell they wanted to. Too bad Leigh couldn’t remember any of it by the end of the weekend. She remembered actually going out somewhere with Landon and then a party. But past that, things went completely blank. Not being stupid, she had an explanation as to why things were that way. She probably had just a little too much to drink when she was out wherever drinking with Landon. Leigh had many forms of evidence pointing to that fact. She could smell the alcohol on her breath as she breathed out. There was the most horrible pounding in her head that made her wish she only had a baseball bat hitting her repeatedly. She also couldn’t explain why she was currently without clothing. Obviously, very much so, she had gotten a little too drunk the night before. Leigh was relieved to know that she had at least made it back to the hotel room with the right guy and not some stranger, though she really only caught a glimpse of the person next to her, considering having her eyes opened made things, like her headache, worse. Just because she couldn’t see color didn’t mean she couldn’t see brightness. Light entering her eyes still hurt the same way.
Leigh, still refusing to open her eyes, searched around the room for her underwear. Luckily, it was lying right beside the bed. She slipped both her underwear and bra on from underneath the covers before making it to her suitcase to find her pajamas. Sure it was daytime, but it was still kind of early, she thought. Either way, she still wanted to go back to bed and not wake up for several hours. Leigh was hoping that when she finally did wake up, the headache would be gone. She dressed herself in her clothing of choice and then slid back under the covers with Landon. She really wasn’t sure how much of her movements had woken him up, if any. But she really didn’t care at this point. Her mind was blank and didn’t want to focus on anything. She just stretched her arms and legs out before flinging one of her arms around him and making herself comfortable. She wasn’t sure why. Temperatures rose when the two of them were close together, mostly because they were both werewolves and felt like they were constantly running fevers. But it still didn’t bother her. She never knew the difference between what was too hot or what was too cold anymore.
Apparently, Leigh didn’t take immediate notice to other things either, like the fact that there was now a ring on her left hand. It took her a moment to realize that there was something unfamiliar, but when she did, she wasn’t quite sure what to think about it. She sat up quickly and stared at her hand. ”No no no no no no no no no no.” Married? This had to be a joke. She couldn’t be married, not that she didn’t love Landon enough to marry him, it just wasn’t planned. ”Landon!” she began to shake him awake. It wasn’t like she was shaking him furiously. She was more or less grabbing his shoulder and shaking it lightly. It was enough to wake him, she hoped. ”Landon wake up!” She began to grow impatient and frantic.

Life was getting a little difficult to keep up with nowadays. With everything that was happening in his life, Landon was having a hard time controlling things. He was constantly working and watching his kids. He never excepted to be doing this at this age. He was almost twenty! He felt like he was twenty five sometimes. Especially at the end of a exhausting day of running around with three kids. He never really got any time to himself or anytime with Leigh. That’s what he wanted most these days, just sometime with the girl he was in love with. Most wolves thought he was crazy because of everything that had happened, but it gave a lot more hope that maybe, just maybe they don’t have to be with the one The Fates put them with. Landon hoped that it worked out for those who wanted what Landon himself had. He had beautiful kids, and a gorgeous girlfriend. There wasn’t much else for Landon to want besides peace and quiet with his girl. His kids weren’t letting that happen though, they insisted his attention be on them 24/7, and Landon had to give it to them. If it wasn’t work it was them, and that’s how his days have been for the past year. Now the triplets entered the terrible twos, the stage everyone was telling them about. Landon said he wasn’t worried, and said it couldn’t possibly be that difficult. Oh, how wrong had Landon been? Very! They hadn’t even hit their twos yet and they were causing havoc on Leigh and him. Well, Andrew was always getting into trouble, so it didn’t really change for him. Now it was he could walk and grab things. Joshua, he wasn’t necessarily causing trouble, but it was like the triplets had a little gang. Jory was the brains and leader behind it all, Andrew was the muscle, and Joshua, well, he was like the dumb kid that went along with anything he was told too. Now, Landon wasn’t calling him dumb, he just didn’t think too well.
With all the children raising, Leigh and himself became more then just teen parents: they became more mature in a way that people just didn’t understand. They didn’t get that they had grown into adults. His father was more accepting of Landon and Leigh being parents together. Leigh was an amazing mother to his kids, and he couldn’t imagine his kids with any other mother, well, besides Andi, but she wasn’t here. Leigh was one of the only female figures in these kids lives besides the obvious people. They needed something like that, a motherly touch was something Landon couldn’t give his kids. He was glad he had Leigh. Which was why he wanted a weekend with her. Just them without kids would be the best thing in the world. He’d known that Leigh was trying to get someone to watch the kids, but everyone was always busy. At one point in time, Landon almost said just find a babysitter from Forks, there were plenty of teens wanting the extra cash, but then again he didn’t trust someone of the people in Forks. These humans had vampire boyfriends or girlfriends, and Landon didn’t want them in his house. He didn’t care if they were vegetarians or not, he didn’t want them near his babies. Landon had asked Andi’s parents, but they said no. No, to their own grandchildren for a weekend. Landon would always remember that. Landon understood that maybe he shouldn’t have gotten with Leigh as fast as he did, or well, shouldn’t have announced it to them so quickly, and maybe they wouldn’t hate him so much. They hadn’t liked him from the start when Andi had brought him home the first time, so when they had found out she was pregnant with his children. They hated him even more, but were willing to accept him. Until she passed away, and Leigh stepped into the picture.
Landon had always known in the end, whether or not Andi was still alive, that he would have chosen Leigh. Sure, it would have been difficult to forget Andi, but not impossible for him to do. What Landon and Leigh had went further then just best friends or love. Landon hadn’t really thought to ask his own parents to watch his kids. It hadn’t really hit him because he relied on them so much already. He didn’t want to burden anyone with his kids really. So, when Leigh had come to him telling him she had asked his family to watch the kids, Landon was relived. Landon had packed for the kids, then packed for himself. A weekend with Leigh could be eventful and crazy. They could do anything for themselves and well, just party it up in Seattle. With that notion, many things could happen. When Landon partied, he really partied. He drank, smoked, whatever someone could think of, he did it. Landon knew that something had happened over the weekend, but his details on exactly what were a little hazy. Of course he knew he had drank, maybe just a little too much. Even for Landon there had to be a limit, and obviously he had gone past it. He thanked the God sometimes for his wolf side. It gave him the ability to not have the stuff in his system so long, or not go against him so hard. Landon was very well content staying right where he was because he knew that if he woke up, that nice little headache would be waiting for him. He was pretty sure that this was not the kind of weekend his parents had planned for him to have with Leigh.
Landon could feel movement on the bed, but ignored it. He figured it was Leigh waking up and getting something. No need for him to wake up over that little movement. Plus, he had a feeling that his clothes were no where near him. He knew he had nothing on, and he just didn’t feel like finding any clothes. He was feeling a bit too lazy for that. When Landon was beginning to fall back asleep with Leigh comfortably next to him, he felt her sit up then begin to shake his shoulder. Landon moaned, he didn’t want to wake up, but he could hear the urgency in her voice. He sat up, and rubbed his eyes. He felt something odd against his face, it was cool and smooth. He looked over at Leigh, his eyes slightly blurred. ”What Leigh?” He turned to look at her, then glanced down at her hand. He saw a shiny ring that had like three diamonds on it. Where in the world did she get that? ”Did you like rob a bank last night?”
He joked lightly, then looked down at his hand and saw a cool looking ring. Huh, he always knew Leigh and he would do something to make them criminals. Landon stretched a little, then walked over to find a pair of boxers and pants. When he found them, he slipped them on then laid down, putting his head in Leigh’s lap. ”That’s a fancy rock you got on your finger there, is there something you wanna tell me?” He played with her hand and looked at the rock. i'm only sure onething that's you right now
Things had started out so innocently. Leigh never intended anything to happen this weekend aside from getting the hell away from everything she had at home, not that she hated home. The fact was she loved it there. She was comfortable with everything she had, including three children that were not technically hers. Sure, she grew up a lot faster than anyone would have wanted her to. Her father constantly told her he felt as though she was rushing into something she had no business being involved in. He told her there was nothing wrong with wanting to mother Landon’s three children, but that she had to be careful not to over step her boundaries. Now, he was singing a different song. Everyone was, aside from Andi’s family, to be honest. Having a family to raise changed both of them. Whether or not it was for the better or not was not the problem. No one could deny that the two of them needed to grow up. It was more than just that they had to. They both did. The Landon that Leigh used to spend time with, the one she deemed her very best friend, was so much different than one she was dating. A new responsibility and mouths to feed took the party boy teenager and turned him into a father. Suddenly, things had changed, even though Leigh truly believed they were for the better. It became less about partying and having fun and more about taking care of babies. Even she was slightly neglected due to the big change in his life, though she never doubted he cared about her. Landon didn’t have to deal with her if he didn’t want to. He didn’t have to keep her around the way he did. So, Leigh knew he really had to love her to do that. But that little time they had to themselves was exactly why she wanted to do this whole thing this weekend. It was why she went out of her way to find some place safe to put the children.
However, things had obviously not turned out as intended. Leigh didn’t even understand why she thought something had happened. All she knew was that she was wearing a new bit of jewelry that was not familiar to her. Earrings were nice and she had necklaces she wore, but she did not have a ring on that finger. She didn’t have a ring period. Her natural instincts told her to worry about what had happened. That wasn’t to say something bad did happen. She was a worrier, by nature. Then again, she spent most of her life worrying about her health. She was always in and out of hospitals for reasons no doctor could even explain. So, to take things to different levels and worry were normal for her. Keeping things cool and not letting things get to him was Landon’s way of doing things. She never knew if something was bothering him because he didn’t show it. This, she wanted it to bug him in a weird and odd way. Leigh wanted him to be as panicked as he was. Something happened. She couldn’t explain what that something was, but something had happened. The sad thing was that neither one of them could probably recall what happened the night before. All she could say was that it started with a few drinks and somehow landed her in bed. At least she had that much down. She had ended up in her hotel room. What more, she ended up with Landon. So, that was a plus. But at that moment, that was the only thing she could think of that was positive. She could not see that any good had not come of the night before. Then again, she had Landon had a free moment to themselves. Did anything good ever come of those moments? She tried to relax herself. How life threatening or changing could something they had done been? Part of her was terrified to actually know that answer.
What really got on Leigh’s nerves was that Landon was not as shaken by this as she was, and he, too, was now wearing a new piece of jewelry. Yet, he acted as though it was not a big deal at all. This was a big deal, at least to her. If it was big to her, wasn’t it supposed to be big to him? She just figured boys didn’t work the same way. That didn’t mean it didn’t irk her any less. Leigh was quite clearly upset by whatever had happened, and it took a lot for her not to remain calm about things. She only ever freaked out in front of her brother, and only because Blaine knew how to tune her out after a certain point. She had never seen someone remain so calm or joke about something that had her this way. It had her pausing for a moment and thinking, at which point he took notice to his ring. Still, Landon had no reaction. Was she over reacting to everything? Now she was confused and didn’t know what to do or say. Well, she knew enough to correct Landon, even though she really did that without thinking. ”You mean a jewelry store?” She didn’t even realize the question had been asked and had no clue how it had. She was too busy looking around the room, trying to find if there was even a small shred of evidence as to what had happened the night before. While she did this, she took notice to him moving around the room to get his own clothes. Leigh also tried to rethink what had happened. All she remembered was a little bit of drinking. At some point, she blacked out from there. Great! If she couldn’t explain it to herself, how was she supposed to explain it to her family?
As Leigh let her thoughts wander away, Landon laid back down. That was the first second since he woke up that she actually became aware of anything. She looked down at him, considering his head was in her lap. She half laughed. It was sort of sarcastic. That was the only way she could describe it. ”Nothing that I can think of . I was hoping you would be able to help me find the missing pieces.” Well, that answered Leigh’s questions. Landon didn’t know either. It was like they were back to square one with this. Ok, now, it was time to figure out the answers to these questions. But apparently, they weren’t on the same page, not exactly. Where she was so uptight and worried, he was completely laid back and cool about things. She was hoping this was only because he just woke up and that maybe it would register to him that something had happened in a little while. Then again, he could stay the exact same way he was and remain this way while she stressed herself to a head full of grey hair. That wouldn’t be fair at all, would it? That’s ok. She would make him pay for the hair dye to make her head brown again.
”Why are you not stressed and panicked like I am?” Leigh questioned with a sigh, ”Am I overreacting?” She would swear she wasn’t, but it wasn’t as though she had proof anything bad happened. What if they did actually rob a bank or a jewelry store? Then they couldn’t leave Seattle without being arrested, but she would stand by and say it was completley by accident or something. Still, it was cause to act the way she was. Mhm. She decided Landon was the odd one, not her.

Maybe going to Seattle wasn’t the greatest plan in the world. Landon should’ve known better then to go to Seattle and drink. Of all things they could’ve done to have fun. Plus, they weren’t even of legal drinking age yet, he was only nineteen, and Leigh was only eighteen, that was even worse. Landon should have been more responsible this weekend, even if he didn’t remember anything. It wasn’t like this hadn’t ever happened before, but usually ended with him sneaking out when the girl was still asleep. Being in a serious relationship was totally different, Landon couldn’t just walk about of the hotel room, and move on from the little episode. Sometimes it made him wonder just how many kids he could really have. It wouldn’t surprise him if he had more then three. He probably had like ten, but there wasn’t any way he was going to help or take care of ten kids. He could barely handle three, he didn’t want anymore for a long time. That’s why he always tried to be careful with Leigh, but obviously they were too drunk to take that precautionary last night. They could have been, but it didn’t really help because Landon didn’t remember shit from last night. He had never been that drunk before, well, not that he could remember anyways. It’s always possible he’d been more trashed before, but you can’t be sure of something you don’t remember. It was kind of sad really, that Landon was able to get that trashed that he couldn’t remember anything. He was lucky he remember who Leigh was and that he had three kids back home waiting for their dad to come play with them. It was hard being a teenage dad, there were some many expectations, and quite frankly, Landon couldn’t make them all. He was still a kid after all, well at heart anyways. That was something just wasn’t going to change, no matter what. So, if Landon wanted to party, he was going to party.
Landon was pretty sure that his first reaction shouldn’t have been as calm as it was. For some reason he just wasn’t terribly worried about what had happened last night. He couldn’t jump up and say, “Oh! We’re married!” No, it just wasn’t in his mind at the moment to say that. It could be because he was still tired and hung over. That might be a reasonable answer, but even if he wasn’t, he probably wouldn’t have freaked out as badly. Or maybe he was just use to the not-so-normal things happening to him. He couldn’t help that he had to be so calm when it came to drastic situations. He grew up with Leigh, it was necessary for him to have this skill, and to use it in his everyday life, and if that meant finding out that she had a nice pretty little rock on her finger, and he had a cool looking ring on his, then well, why over react? Why take things out of hand when they were okay. No one was hurt, they didn’t kill anyone. That Landon knew of anyways, it was quite possible that they had killed someone. They would be able to get away with something like that if they really wanted too. Not that they would ever do something like in the first place, even if they were super drunk. They still had enough brains to know that killing someone was wrong. Landon was pretty sure he would remember something that bad, but then again he could be wrong. They could be like those killers that don’t ever remember killing someone. Like Catwoman, when she started to get those abilities, she didn’t remember robbing the store. They could be like that, which would really freak Landon out. One thing that made Landon proud was that he and Leigh ended up in the same bed. He would hate to end up in a bed with someone he didn’t know, and to find out that that chick had the ring on her finger.
Within the room, Landon could feel that Leigh was not please with him. That was never good, if Leigh was not pleased then everyone needed to hide. Especially him since it was he that she was mad at. But Landon wasn’t going to freak out like she was, it would make everything worse. She must know that because it was just a stupid ring. It didn’t mean anything, it was just a ring on her finger. God, sometimes she just overreacted to everything. It could be annoying sometimes, but that was just Leigh, and Landon learned to deal with it along time ago. Landon rolled his eyes, and said, ”You can rob a bank, then buy jewelry. It’d make more sense, especially with all this technology. They could put, like I don’t know, a tracker or something in the diamonds.” It was so obvious that Landon was still sleeping because he really wasn’t making any sense, not even to himself. It was sad because usually always understood himself. Landon sighed, and looked at Leigh. She was just the jittery little thing today, wasn’t she? Why was she so freaked the whole thing? ”I think you need to calm down, that’s what I think. You are overreacting, clearly,”
Landon stated as a matter of factly. Landon snorted at her words, yeah right. If she couldn’t remember, he sure as hell couldn’t remember anything. ”All I remember is drinking, you sitting in my lap, and a lot of music.” He remembered a few other details, but he was pretty sure she didn’t want to hear those. She would remember those parts later. They were quite the interesting, well to him anyways. Landon sat up, and looked at her. He cupped her face in his hands, and said, ”You are overreacting. It’s just a ring on your left hand, and we all know---” Landon stopped mid sentence, realizing his words. His blue eyes got very large, and he dropped his hands from her face, and jumped off the bed. He began to pace, but the tiny room wasn’t big enough. Left hand meant marry. It was the right hand that didn’t mean anything! Landon went back over to Leigh, and grabbed her hand. Damnit, it was on the left hand. Maybe she put it on wrong or something like that. Drunken marriages didn’t really count, did they? No, of course not. They were drunk, they weren’t really married or anything. It was just a silly mistake, but even Landon knew that it wasn’t so. They would still have to go through a whole divorce court, which would be really stupid seeing as though they were really together. Landon glanced up at Leigh, and said, ”Leigh, what are we going to do?! How are we going to go back home, and tell your FATHER that you’re married to me. Out of drunken stupidity?” Landon wasn’t too worried about his family. His family was the family that wouldn’t really care. Sure, they’d scowled him for being irresponsible, but he was use to that. He had about fifth teen years of that on his record. His family knew that he planned to marry Leigh one day, but not this soon of course. He hadn’t planned it either. Oh, what would his mother say? She would be upset with him, but he feared his sister Heather more. She’d be upset that she didn’t get to see the wedding. As would his other sisters, they would be very upset to not be able to see Leigh and Landon do vows, and dance together. Oh boy, they sure had a mess to clean up. i'm only sure onething that's you right now
Perhaps, on the other hand, Leigh was overreacting. She didn’t really see how, though. She was thinking of everything that could possibly and was likely to happen when they returned home and everything hit the fan. She knew exactly how her family would react. She could handle her mother and Summer’s reaction fine, she figured. Summer would just say something about how Leigh was no longer the perfect little angel anymore, and her mother would completely ignore it. She was ok with that. She wasn’t sure she wanted her mother to have an opinion to talk about with her. It was already going to be hard enough to deal with the family she lived with. Her step mother was probably the only one who would be thrilled. She constantly joked with Leigh about when she and Landon were going to tie the knot. She liked him and had given one hundred percent approval. Leigh’s dad and brother would be a hundred times different. They both liked Landon, but that didn’t necessarily mean they wanted the two of them to make a serious commitment at eighteen and nineteen. In their defense, they never really intended on making that commitment so early in their relationship, even if it had been close to two years. They were just young. That would be the only thing Leigh’s father and brother would be focused on. The only thing was, they would both react differently. Her father would be livid. She could hear his words now and the disappointment in his voice. He would either kick her out of the house completely or keep her as far away from Landon as possible, as though the whole thing was just his fault. It took two and she had obviously consented. That would stop that rampage, though. With Landon out of the picture, if only temporarily, she would hear about it from her dad. Her brother, he was just be extremely disappointed and would avoid talking to her at all costs. They were so close and never did anything without talking to the other first. This would hurt him.
Landon’s family would be totally different. They had a different perspective of their relationship, or at least where they should be in it. After all, they did take care of three children together, though Landon certainly did more of it than Leigh, considering they were his. But that wasn’t to say they would really be that much happier about it. They would be upset for different reasons. Her family would be furious that they were stupid and got married after getting drunk. His family, especially his sisters, would be upset that they weren’t around to see a wedding. This was just going to be terrible when everyone figured out. She was willing to hold off on this for as long as she could. If Landon didn’t come around soon, it probably wouldn’t matter anyway. He wouldn’t know the difference between being married or just the way they already were. Leigh knew that wouldn’t last for too long, though. It was just a matter of time before something he or she said would make Landon’s brain put everything together. He would figure out sooner or later that they were actually married. When he did, she wondered how he would react. This was serious news, whether he believed it or not at this exact moment in time. They needed a plan, but it was useless to discuss a plan until he knew what was going on. All she could do was continue to try to make him see what had happened. No, neither of them remembered it, but at least he could know what the big deal was. And Leigh wished she could remember what happened the previous night. She remembered vague details, but nothing ever too major. Then again, she just forgot everything after a certain point once she had a little too much alcohol in her. It was sad that she let it get that far. It had never happened before. She made the mental note to make sure it never happened again.
Leigh found it funny how she could love someone so much but be so infuriated with him at the same time. Landon knew better than to upset her. But he was still kind of waking up. He didn’t know he was making her mad. In fact, he didn’t even know what he was saying. At least, that was what she figured because it made no sense to her. He was just talking, trying to make her calm down and be less dramatic. Ok, yes, she was being a tad bit drastic in her behavior, but she had every right to worry about something. Leigh didn’t want anyone to get overly worked up about them being together. Quite honestly, the two of them were bound to get married anyway, just not this way or this young. No one really needed to get mad or upset about it, but she knew they would whether she liked it or not. Her brother, despite her father’s yelling, would be most disappointing to tell. He probably wouldn’t say a word to her, not for a while. It would hurt her to see that. But why did it have to be that way? People had joked since Landon and Leigh were younger that they were going to fall in love one day if only because they were so close as friends. Not only that, they really did care about each other. It showed in the amount of effort they put into always being there for the other. But as right as she knew it was them being together she knew it would be wrong to everyone else and that it was wrong to be married right now….this way. She sighed heavily. ”Yeah, that’s all I really remember either.” Did she really expect him to know anymore than she did? Not really.
Landon’s words paused. It must have hit him what was going on. It must have dawned on him that the two of them were not simply wearing new jewelry, but that they had somehow ended up married before their return to the hotel room, where it was quite obvious to guess what had happened. He was now pacing. Leigh watched him as he did so. He must have been thinking and trying to piece it all together, or trying to figure out what the hell to do about it. He then grabbed her hand to make sure it was on the left hand, rather than her right. She stood from the bed as he continued to let it all sink in. It wasn’t like she was afraid of him being irate or that he would hurt her. Leigh knew Landon didn’t have the capability to do that to her. So, while some people would run from a stressed out werewolf like him, she faced him head on knowing she would be fine. She wasn’t sure exactly what he was if he was angry or just stressed out and worried of their families’ reactions. Apparently, it was only her family’s reaction he was worried about. She couldn’t blame him for that. It was a pretty scary thing to face her father.
”It’s as easy as removing the rings and we don’t have to tell him. But I know he’ll find out somehow. She sighed again and proceeded to lean into Landon, eyes closed as she thought of what they could do or say to convince her family no to overreact. ”The only thing we CAN do is to tell him and accept whatever consequences he throws out. It’s not like he can keep us apart or do anything to us. What’s he going to do? Ground me and demand you stay away from the house? We’re adults. That should be our decision, whether what we did was irresponsible or not.” But she wasn’t willing to admit her dad had much more control over her than she was putting on. He could always tell police her color blindness and hearing impairment made her physically handicapped and he was her power of attorney. They’d have to bring her back. Still, would he really do that?
