Character History:

When Jarod and Dakota met in college, they never imagined what would happen. They fell in love instantly. Were loved by both families. And were on a roller coaster ride of romance. After six months of being together, that roller coaster very quickly stopped as they found out they were expecting a baby. The two were so confused on what to do from here. both knew they really weren't ready to start a family. They weren't ready to dive headfirst into marriage, but their families insisted that be the thing that they did. So, two weeks after finding out they were having a baby, the two were married. Though they figured things would only get worse after marriage, things got surprisingly better. There was stressed relieved from Dakota and Jarod quickly cleaned up his act and became responsible for himself and his child, a daughter.

That daughter was everything her parents could have hoped for. Shilo Renee Ramsey was her parents' angel. She was quiet and so sweet. She was a very low maintenance baby. They loved her. When they put her down to sleep, she instantly fell asleep, no problem. When they sat her down just to watch television, she silently sat there with her bottle and watched television while her mother cleaned the house. Even as a toddler she was the perfect daughter to them. She would run around outside and play. The second she was told to come in, without hesitation, she was there. Growing up, she did what she was told with a smile on her face and a small skip to her step. This only made it easier for her to get what she wanted, which she did her best when she was older. As much as she was a girl at heart, she was also a bit of a tomboy, too. She loved sports. Her favorite was volleyball, something she got interested in after summer camp when she was thirteen. That became her hobby.

For most of high school, she gave most people the impression that she was a good girl. She did everything right and played by the book. Homework was turned in on time and she was the teachers' pet. She had the best sportsmanship and was a start volleyball player. The only thing was, she had a side of her not many people got to see. Her friend Chase Thomas was probably the only person who saw the "other side" of her. They had fun together. They even started dating, but that was probably where things went sorely wrong, not that she didn't love him or regretted their relationship. Some of the things they did, though, were probably better left for when they were adults. Just two weeks shy of her eighteenth birthday, she found out she was pregnant. Talk about good girl gone bad. Suddenly, people started looking down on her because of it, especially when her flat stomach began to develop a baby bump.

Shilo opted for the last part of her senior year to be spent in home school, somewhere no one could see her and she could have her baby in peace. Of course, she wanted Chase involved at all costs. He was the father after all. There was no way she wasn't going to let him be part of his own child's life. That would be wrong. But once Anjel was born, she started questioning what exactly the two of them could do to take care of her. When the both graduated, Shilo went on to college and taking on part time jobs to take care of her daughter. At twenty, Shilo's parents decided she needed to be sent away, though she was an adult and could think for herself. They transferred her and moved her to Forks with Anjel. Shilo to this day feels very guilty for taking her daughter away, but has since lost contact with Chase.

Personality:

Shilo likes to think of herself as both fun and carefree. She's spirited and loves to have a good time. She's everyone's friend. There is hardly a person she doesn't get along with or can't talk to. In school, she made friends easily. In real life, she finds it to be just the same. She is not afraid to walk up to random people and start conversation. All people may not like her, but she doesn't have a problem with many people. In fact, the number is few and far between. She's sweet and so easy going. She doesn't let things bother her or get her down. And, no matter what, she's always herself. She never puts up walls or pretends to be someone or something she's not. She doesn't change who she is to impress people. In her mind, she doesn't need their acceptance. If people can't or simply refuse to accept her for the person she is, she doesn't even waste the time with them. She is a mother. She is a care free person. She's responsible. And she's just trying to figure out how to deal with life one step at a time. No one else has to like that about her or care, but if they want to be a part of her life, they have to accept those things.

A little more on the negative side, Shilo tends to get a little overwhelmed. She can't seem to say no to people. Therefore, things tend to build up on top of her. This causes her to have panic attacks. Considering she has a four year old daughter, they probably isn't such a good thing, but it happens because she has so much put on her. She doesn't know when to stop either. She just thinks she can do it herself and she doesn't bother to ask people for help. If she can't do it, no one can. But that's because she's very cautious and standoff-ish about the people she has around her. She's very selective of the people who are extremely close to her. She'll be friends with anyone, but that doesn't mean she trusts them one hundred percent. Those numbers are very few, especially after she got pregnant and most people she knew started abandoning her. So, whoever she's friends with is endless, but those she trusts with her life are few.
