`` Keisha was dressed to the nines as she walked down the pretty empty Port Angeles street. She needed to get out, let loose. Party a bit and live a little. That’s what she was doing. She was going to a bar and she was looking sexy too. Even though she didn’t care so much about what she looked like, she figured some girl walking into a bar with a baggie sweatshirt and pajama pants wouldn’t be all that appealing to some guys. She wanted to be appealing tonight. Weirdly. But at least she knew how to do it up right. Though the streets were pretty much empty the few people she had passed had looked at her. For one reason or another Keisha was feeling totally confident. Not the cool, collected girl she normally was. Oh no. That girl was back home tonight. Tonight the wolf was out and on the prowl. And it felt pretty dang good to.
`` A small part of Keisha wondered though if this ‘normal’ life was just getting to her. She’d been so restless for a while now. Tonight, though, she felt good again. The same thing that being in her wolf form constantly had given her. The confidence to do anything she wanted to. Sometimes that wasn’t always a good thing. Keisha let a small smirk flash across her lips. Her confidence had gotten her into trouble every now and again. She hoped it wouldn’t tonight. Keisha had a good feeling though, so at least her hope had fuel. Glancing around, she realized she was starting to get to the far reaches. There were a couple of groups of people laughing in front of her, probably already drunk. She moved toward them, cool and collected, ignoring them completely, even when a few of the guys sent wolf howls after her. If only you idiots knew, Keisha thought acidly, continuing down the street. She was actually fairly surprised the heels she was wearing weren’t killing her yet. She never really did heels.
`` Rounding the corner, the neon sign for one of the older bars flickered and cast an eerie glow on the wet ground. This bar had been around a long time, Keisha knew that much, though it had changed names and hands many times. But it was one of the better ones around. For one reason, they didn’t check IDs. Personally though, Keisha was pretty sure she looked a little older then her frozen at 19 looks. Funny. And she was 2 centuries old. That was ironic. Oh well. Just in case, she had her fake ID on her, though she was fairly sure she wouldn’t need it. She stepped up the steps easily, looking more than a little comfortable in her outfit, even though she usually wouldn’t be caught dead in it. Opening the door a blast of music and clinking bottles and glasses greeted her. Pulling in a deep breath, she ducked inside.
``Making her way to the bar she could feel a few eyes on her. Her own icy-grey eyes swept the bar as well. There were definitely a few kids here that looked younger than here. One or two parties were in the corner, where most of the noise was coming from. A group of well dressed women were sitting in another booth, shooting shy smiles at guys at neighboring tables when the boys looked at the ladies. Keisha rolled her eyes. The place stank of vampires. She wondered how many where in here with her. Then again she wasn’t really all that sure she cared anymore. Sweeping to the bar she took an empty bar stool near the wall, ignoring the stares of the others at the bar. She ordered a cold beer, and stared at her hands, amusing herself by twirling a toothpick and letting her mind wander. She was too engrossed in her thoughts and didn’t notice the empty bar stool next to her being claimed.

in the party lull some band’s playing hallelujah
<< liam i g g y wyatt >>in the corner the all night girls drink wine<< I MADE A MESS OF THINGS, MY STOPS & IN BETWEENS, THEY WEIGH ME DOWN >> As it stood Liam needed a break from his life. He just needed to get away from it all. They had recorded a couple of tracks for their demo today so he was feeling pretty good about that. The only unfortunate part was that was the only thing he was feeling good about. His stupid younger brother was dating the girl that Liam liked just because the girl that Ethan had imprinted on lied and said she didn’t want him. Liam didn’t quite understand what possessed the girl to say that, especially considering she HAD imprinted on him. Yes, he had been eavesdropping the night she came round and started yelling through the door at Ethan. Then again Liam wondered if it could hardly be considering eavesdropping if she was screaming at him. Then he thought it just sort of became general knowledge, didn’t it? He was fairly certain it did. So right now he was in some sort of weird love square thing. He wasn’t even sure if it was a square or not. Maybe it was just a line. Or a triangle with a tangent.
Whatever, Liam wanted to get drunk. Apparently he had nothing better to do in this world. The girl he wanted was off with his brother. The girl that wanted his brother was off being sad because his brother was off with another girl. He supposed it would probably be easiest if he took revenge on his brother by going off with the chick he imprinted on, but he wasn’t the spiteful one in the family. No, he preferred to plot ways to ‘accidentally’ kill him. That suited him so much better, in his opinion. Liam threw on some clothes, not really caring what he was wearing and didn’t really care if it was appropriate or not for a bar, and headed out. He just needed to get wasted and find a girl to distract himself with for the night. And possibly morning, depending on how things spilled over. It did annoy Liam that since shapeshifters were so huge and weird that it took them a ridiculous amount of alcohol to get drunk but at least he’d have an advantage over the human guys.
Liam drove out to Port Angeles despite the fact that he doubted he would be capable of driving back and shoved his keys in his pocket. He wasn’t planning on taking them out for the rest of the night and he hoped there’d be someone there to stop him if they did. Liam wandered into the bar, ordered a beer, drank it, then headed to a group of guys he was somewhat friends with. A few of them had a girl under their arm and he figured that this was the best place to start. Where there were girls, there were the friends of these girls. He talked for awhile but grew rather bored. It wasn’t like he could do all that much with the girls except dance and maybe make out with them if they were drunk enough. He was too strong sometimes, whatever with being a werewolf and all, and it frankly annoyed him. It made dating and one night stands a hard thing to come by. Maybe that’s why he just flirted so much.
Liam was wondering whether or not to leave when a girl walked in. Normally he wouldn’t have noticed, even though she was attractive, and he would have just continued talking to the small red head he was talking to. It was the gust of wind that brought forth the scent of her. A werewolf. A werewolf that was looking hot as all hell. A werewolf that he could flirt with and not have to worry about breaking in two. Liam politely excused himself and wandered over to the bar and claimed the stool beside the girl’s. He ordered a beer and smiled at the girl. “It’s not often I find one of your type,” he stated. It was true. Female werewolves were so rare it almost hurt his mind to think that they could even exist. It was yet another male dominated field, werewolfness. “Especially in a place like this,” he said. Most werewolves avoided bars because they were teaming with vampires and it took forever to get wasted. Oh, the downsides to being them.[/blockquote] << AND I’M TONGUE TIED AND YOU’RE COMING ALIVE, COMING ALIVE >> << EXTRAS >> clothing`` click music`` click word count`` 722 tagged`` keisha layout`` clarky lyrics`` matt nathanson << DON’T STEAL OR YOU WILL BE EATEN BY A PACK OF CARNIVOROUS FROGS, MMKAY? >> [/blockquote]

`` The man’s voice snapped Keisha back into the bar and she shot a quick glance at him. A small smirk slipped across her lips as the bar tender placed a beer in front of her and moved off to tend to another customer. She took a quick swig from the bottle and rolled it between her palms. The taste was dry and kind of disgusting really. But in a way it was better than tossing back shots of vodka. She could scent that the guy sitting beside her was a werewolf. What a double meaning on his first statement. ”What can I say? I’m just so unique like that,” she answered and shrugged, still without looking up at him. His second statement sounded like it was added. This made her turn her cold eyes on him. ”That can have a very negative connotation if you think about it,” she responded, not trying very hard to keep the acid from dripping in her voice.
`` Sighing, Keisha turned away from the guy and took another quick swig of beer. Damn the gene for not letting her get drunk quickly. Damn her for building up her own tolerance so well over the years too. She looked back up at the guy. He wasn’t half bad looking actually, not scruffy, but not clean cut either. His look seemed to say “I don’t care and you shouldn’t either”. A small shadowed smile flicker across Keisha’s lips. Looked to her like she had a little bit of a rebel on her hands. The night could get pretty interesting pretty quickly. ”So what brings a guy like you into a place like this?” she asked smoothly, turning his statement into her own question. She took a quick sip of beer, glancing at the guy again.
`` The last time she flirted with someone… well that had to have been a long time ago. What was going on between her and the guy next to her wasn’t flirting… at least not yet. She had a feeling it would be though. That’s how relationships in a bar worked. You got drunk, you flirted, you danced, you gat dragged to someone’s place, and what happened from there usually consisted a one-night stand. Then the next morning you had a hangover and a ton of regrets. Hopefully she wouldn’t let it get that far. She may shoot herself (to no avail depending on where the bullet lodged itself) if something like that happened. Sure she was single. Alex had… she didn’t exactly know what he had done. But the main point she was single now. Screw what had happened in the past. Besides… with the way she was, she’d never been in a serious relationship again. For this moment in time that totally didn’t bother her. Not a bit. Which was surprising. And pleasant. It was pleasantly surprising. Sighing she took a drink and shook her head, swallowing a gulp. It definitely wasn’t vodka. But she’d live. She hoped.
`` Looking back up at the guy again, she made eye contact confidently. He had gorgeous eyes. Keisha pushed that thought from her mind as she held out her right hand. ”Keisha Catori”
she introduced herself, slipping on a small sweet smile. She was putting herself out more than usual. If this didn’t work, then she’d at least have met someone new. And if it did work then… Well she didn’t know what exactly happened then. And she didn’t know really if she wanted to get that far or not. Oh well. She was throwing safety out the window tonight. Tonight it was all about risks. Keisha was always totally on board for that. She was a bit of an adrenaline junkie. But she made it work… and it was usually to her advantage as well. She’d take this step by step, and play her cards right. If nothing else, maybe she could walk away with a friend. Maybe. in the party lull some band’s playing hallelujah
<< liam i g g y wyatt >>in the corner the all night girls drink wine<< I MADE A MESS OF THINGS, MY STOPS & IN BETWEENS, THEY WEIGH ME DOWN >> Liam watched her movements carefully and tried to figure out what she was like. It was weird, with Liam, he was either really good at it or he sucked some serious ass. Sometimes he just gave up and waited to find out what the girl would be like. This one seemed confident, he could tell even that much by the drink she was drinking and the way she held the bottle. Most girls didn’t like beer; they ordered some fruity little girl drink that was filled with either vodka or rum. Or, if they did order beer, they held onto it so delicately. This girl had no problem swigging it and she rolled it casually between her palms. Confident. He had to admit that he liked that in a girl. He hated spineless little people that couldn’t put two thoughts together for themselves. “Unique is good,” he said with a relaxed grin. So was the girl going to play coy and hard to get all night? He could work with that.
Oh, she finally looked. “It can,” he said with a nod and drank some beer. “For the people around here,” he added on. “Cause I bet you anything you could take the most care of yourself in comparison to other…people…in the bar.” Liam was very careful not to use the word ‘human’ around, well, humans. That sounded a bit off, plus it made them sound like they were less human. They were totally freaking human. They just happened to turn into very large wolves sometimes. Or small wolves. The girls always seemed to be smaller than the guys, even if they were tall for normal girls. Liam watched her with curiosity when she looked away. Did she not want him there? No, that couldn’t be right. He was attractive and he knew that much. That wasn’t really him being conceited, it was just a fact that he had come to learn. So what was it that was causing her personal isolation? He’d find out.
Liam shrugged and looked over his shoulder at all the other people at the bar. “Get drunk, meet girls, whatever,” he said easily. What? He knew she wasn’t an idiot so why lie about his intentions? He wasn’t going to say he just came to relax. That was stupid and over used. “Whatever comes my way, I suppose. I didn’t exactly plan anything out,” he said and returned his gaze to the girl. You know, and forget about the fact that the girl he had probably imprinted on was going out with his dumb ass brother because his dumb ass brother couldn’t handle his own imprint. But that wasn’t the sort of thing you just threw at a person you didn’t know. Besides, he was currently trying to forget that, hence the getting drunk part, which would unfortunately take forever thanks to those cursed genes of his. He liked her though, this girl, she was intriguing. She had some sort of mystery about her and Liam wasn’t sure if it was something to find out or something to always be curious of.
What he did know was that she looked hot as hell even if her gaze could be icy as, well, ice. That was enough for him. He was a man. He was very simple minded most of the time. Liam returned the smile and slipped his much larger hand into hers. Confident. Eye contact, handshake, cute smile. He was going to be talking to this girl until she got tired of him, he decided. “Liam Wyatt,” he said in returned and surrendered her hand back to her. Girls generally liked to keep their hands. They grew an attachment to them and Liam couldn’t blame them. “New in town or just new to me?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. He didn’t know. It wasn’t like he had met every single werewolf that was wandering around. Just because they were of the same…species, to say the least, didn’t mean he knew of their existence. For a small town, there were a lot of people, and there wasn’t even time in the day. Plus, he generally kept to a small circle of friends, most of them guys.[/blockquote] << AND I’M TONGUE TIED AND YOU’RE COMING ALIVE, COMING ALIVE >> << EXTRAS >> clothing`` click music`` click word count`` 705 tagged`` keisha layout`` clarky lyrics`` matt nathanson << DON’T STEAL OR YOU WILL BE EATEN BY A PACK OF CARNIVOROUS FROGS, MMKAY? >> [/blockquote]

`` Keisha listened carefully to the guy sitting next to her, keeping her eyes trained on the beer bottle in her hands. Unique was… different. Certainly, the two of them were unique. But hey, as Keisha liked to say, they were unique… just like everybody else. It helped to remind her that she was still part human. Even though she more often than not liked to disown that part of her. She was such a wolf at heart. What could she say? She figured it was that power that made her so confident. But such power was dangerous. It was a very tricky balance, and one that she hadn’t yet been able to master completely, though she was fairly good at it for the most part. She smirked though at his statement about taking care of herself. ”Damn right I can take care of myself,” she answered, slight edge in her voice showing him she was tougher then she looked. ”Have been for a few years.” She was making it into a competition again. She seemed to like to do that often. Much too often but it was sort of a wolf thing. And besides, she loved competition. It made things all the more fun. `` When she looked away, she could feel the guy’s eyes on her. Watching her movements carefully. She was being too cold. Scolding herself for it she wondered vaguely what he was so interested in. Keisha had been told plenty of times she was a guy’s girl… but she never took any belief in it. She didn’t have the pleasure of that. Besides, with the way her and her brother moved around so much, she didn’t really have the time to notice guys that were interested in her. But then again maybe it was just the way she was acting. Ale loved telling Keisha she was all stunningly dark and mysterious and it was absolutely gorgeous on her. Keisha however always rejected that statement. It was mostly modesty. A smile tugged up the corner of her lips into a half smile, and she looked at the guy sideways. ”Your blunt. I like that,” she answered with a small bell like laugh. The mention of plans made her roll her eyes. ”Plans? Who needs ‘em? It’s more like living if you take it stride by stride.”
She’d never had the greatest success with plans, so she’d all but totally given up on them. Instead she learned to be as spontaneous as physically possible. Thankfully, she could be extremely spontaneous since she was a wolf. `` The heat of his hand in her own felt comforting in a sense. And right. His hand was large, and almost completely swallowed her own, but she didn’t mind it. They had the whole werewolf thing on their side for the night. Keisha was on the verge of damning her instincts but she figured that they had gotten her much too far in her life to kick them out the door now. His smile was nice, if not with a small edge to it. When she got her hand back she took up her beer bottle and drained the last of it, then set it on the counter. She looked up at Liam and grinned at his question. ”Just new to you, I think. I could be considered new to town though too I guess,” she answered with an easy shrug. ”I grew up around here, moved away for a bit, and just moved back.” She felt the need to clarify. And that was the bare minimum really. It was vague but it answered a question or two. Any farther than that, and she’d have to see how Liam held up against her defenses. If he could make it, then she’d tell him what he needed to know. If not, then oh well, his loss. `` She looked at him carefully for a moment. ”What about you?” she asked. She was guessing he grew up around here. If he did and realized it, she wondered the questions that would come after that. Oh well, she’d take them as they came. If that happened they could go walk around or something. Maybe he wasn’t too bent on getting totally wasted. That at least would be a big help. If they managed to pull out some strange friendship out of this one, then that would be a miracle. But if he made it through her personality, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to have him know about what happened. Something told her that he would understand. But even as she thought about what had happened, her entire aura darkened. Noticeably. She had to work to push it away, but she was almost positive Liam had noticed anyway.
