Kennedy sadly looked around her empty apartment. Her sister had gone out…somewhere. She hadn’t been paying much attention when she was speaking to her. Ellie was very pleased with herself now that Lucas was out of her life. Kennedy hadn’t meant to phase in front of Lucas. Then Lucas looked at her as if she was a monster, then he got really mad that she told him about what she was, even though he asked. He said he didn’t hate her or anything, and yet…he was gone. It felt like someone had taken a knife and dug into where her heart was supposed to be. She hated it and she just wanted to curl up into a little ball and die. She honestly felt like the light had gone out in her world. And Eleanor, her older sister, the one that was supposed to be protecting her, was pleased. She never wanted Kennedy to see Lucas in the first place. She even went as far as going into Lucas’ work and screaming at him to leave Kennedy alone. Well, Eleanor had gotten her wish. Lucas was never coming back into her life and it was only then that Kennedy realized she liked him more than a friend. Sweet, innocent Kennedy was so confused by the mere notion of it.
She just wanted to cry. She just wanted to cry for the rest of her life and do nothing else. Then again, she took the week off work and was planning on watching sad movies and eating until she couldn’t eat anything else. She was a werewolf though and she’d burn it off in no time. Girls everywhere could be envious but little Kennedy was just completely heartbroken about the way things had turned out. Nothing ever seemed to go her way, ever. Her parents controlled her for her entire life. She moved out with her sister, only to go to a party and lose her virginity to some ass that tricked her. She fell for a boy only to have her sister hate him and him hate her for what she was. Nothing was working out for her. Sighing, she brushed her crazy blonde curls and dug around in her drawers for an outfit. Normally she would ask Ellie, but Ellie was gone and right now she was more than furious with her older sister. She couldn’t wait until Parker moved in. At least then Eleanor would be distracted by their other sister and would hopefully leave Kennedy alone to do what she pleased. Kennedy never wore any make up so she didn’t have to bother with that, grabbed some earrings and a bracelet, and searched around for her flats. Kennedy and high heels were a lethal combination. She was one uncoordinated wolf girl when wearing them.
She didn’t know what she was supposed to do today. She was pretty much lost when she didn’t go to work and she was feeling so sad. It was pathetic, really, but this teenager did not know what teenagers generally did for fun. Well, granted she was twenty now, but she still never did anything normal people did for fun. It just wasn’t what she was used to. Once she was given freedom she didn’t know what to do with it, but then it sort of became like her freedom was being forced upon her by her sister, and then it wasn’t even freedom anymore. She was just tired of it all. And hungry. Damn. She was a werewolf and she was always hungry. The annoying thing was people didn’t think she could eat that much. While Ellie was as tall as most normal boys, Kennedy for some reason remained tiny and petite. It worked with her gymnastics but confused her greatly. She couldn’t even be a normal werewolf, what the heck was that about? Sighing, she wandered into an ice cream parlour and ordered an extra large death by chocolate fudge sundae thing. Might as well start there.
