Ria lay on her bed as the grey light shone through her window. The tap of rain was in beat to the music: Beethoven's 9th Symphony. She began to dane round the room just as her sister, Elodia, came through. Elodia beagn to giggle and walk out.
"I hate you Dia!" Aleria screamed through the door. She was in her silken nightie, as this reminded her of sleep, and was tripping over all over the place. In a strop, she decided to get dressed.
She was in her favourite red top, white top, distressed jeans look, with just one thing changed, the long, black jumper. She enjoyed the clip clop of her heels on the floor. "Bye Zofie. Bye Herkus!" she shouted up.
Ria sat quietly in her purple lotus still tapping along to Beethoven. She started the engine and zoomed out of there drive. She loved the speed and the sound of the zooming car, and changed the music to the Propellerheads. Some eye's looked as she did a power drive round the corner. No one would tell, they never did, and the police weren't the best in this measly town. They had bigger fish to fry than a 16 year old doing power drives around the bend. Like there wolf problem that everyone was gossiping about. The ruddy shifters who they had to be friends with. Ria still sped on.
As soon as she got to school, she saw another flashy car. It was strange, as it was not one of the Cullens of which she saw every day, or one of the Ankh's. It was someone new. As the wind blew the car smell her way, she smelt the human blood and venom smell. It was a red eye. Oh boy, Ria thought, it's gonna be a long day. She sped into class to see the culprit. A girl with shades who smelt like blood.

It was almost morning when Allison stirred in her lying position in the hotel bed. She had been like this for almost eight hours, unmoving and hoping that she can get some sleep. But the mere thought of it was amusing, she did not sleep. Allison just moved slightly, tilting her face towards the ceiling and exhaling. She can smell the perfume of some guests outside, it made her grin. Although unlike a few red-eyed vampires she knew, Allison controlled herself to just two humans every weekend. She had to protect her image as long as possible.
The vampire sat up, "What was my story again?" And then she remembered, she was posing as a European exchange student. The adults were very easy to fool, Allison just have to be extra charming with them and she had her way. Hotels guests were gossiping about her, not that Allison cared about that. They said she was a runaway model of some sort. She scoffed off the idea, growling at the fact that they always seem to think vampires are models.
Allison sent a glance at the ticking wall clock and just sighed as she got up and prepared for a school day. Before she picked out something, she checked the weather and made sure that it wasn't a bright sunny day. Once she was done, she hurried out of the hotel and jumped in her car.
It took her a few minutes to arrive to her new school, and it seemed like she was a bit early. There were still a few students in the parking lot, most of them turning around to see who was driving the shiny pink car. Allison just stopped the engines and laid back on the driver's seat, waiting in silence for nothing. Another car sped past hers, the driving style was just like her own meaning---vampire. She tightened her coat and got out of the car without taking her sunglasses off. She did not worry about her eyes since she had her blue contact lenses on, making her eyes look violet. It irritated her, seeing that there was a few scratches in the lenses.
The other vampire smelled nothing like her, probably vegetarian. Allison shrugged, The lengths other vampires would go to fit into the society.
A few students stared at her, murmuring under their breaths. They were gossiping something about beautiful like the Cullens and probably one of the Ankhs. It confirmed her thoughts, there were other vampires here.

Aleria watched as the girl took of her shades. She had put in contact lenses. Though, not the best colour to put in when you're a red eye, it did the job. The girl was very beautiful, but so were all of them. Aleria sat in the desk behind her, when the teacher came in and explained that this vampire was named Allison Prideaux. She was a "foriegn exchange student" apparently, from Europe. Maybe she'd lived in London?
Aleria smelt a little more. This girl was red eye, just she didn't drink much of thehuman stuff. From the strength of the smell, she would say from 1- 3 humans a day at least. Probably the first controlled red vampire. And the first Red eyed vamp she'd met in Forks. She wasn't sure if introducing herself would be the best thing to do.
The lesson dragged on a little, but as the teacher said partners, Ria noticed that Allison didn't have a partner, and neither did she. She quickly sped to the seat on the other side of Allison. As the teacher explained the work and set them off, Aleria introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Aleria Ankh. I saw your car this morning. Very bright. So, are you living here with anyone?" Aleria asked. She didn't mean to be so pushy, she just wanted to see if she could trust her.

She made no gesture that she saw the other vampire watching her but Allison made sure that the vampire noticed her. The glances of her other schoolmates didn't go unnoticed and they gasped at her every step, she was clearly pointing out her graceful gait. Allison loved the spotlight and it was very obvious.
The attention went on even in her next class, with a few girls already hating her. She has heard that, 'There are already a lot of girls like her here, why did she have to appear?. It amused her that she will meet more vampires, but silently wished that they were like her. The teacher introduced her to the class and that was when she decided to take off her sunglasses, there were a few gasp here and there due to how violet her irises were.
The vegetarian sat behind her but was soon sitting beside Allison when they were called as partners by the man in front. She wasted no time and sped unto the next seat, casually introducing herself. Allison nodded, giving off a small smile as she said, "Thank you. I like pink very much. And I'm afraid not, Aleria. My parents are living abroad." Her words was dripping with an obvious English accent, "I'm staying in the nearby hotel." Allison added after an afterthought, then glanced at their teacher who ended his lecture and looked over a few students who were beginning their work.
She guessed that this girl is probably biologically younger than her when she was turned or Aleria would probably adore her at the very moment she sat down beside Allison. It was an irritating thing, Allison had been used to using her talents so much that it spoiled her. "How about you though? I'm sure you're living here with your family. Ankh. Ankh, it's an Egyptian word, right?"

Aleria listened to the girl intently. Allison was all alone. It made her feel sad to think of someone without a family. If she didn't have her coven, she didn't have anyone and that was a terrible thing to have.
"How about you though? I'm sure you're living here with your family. Ankh. Ankh, it's an Egyptian word, right?" Allison asked. Ria nodded and told her about her family:
"Our coven's leader, Zofie, was from Egypt, and so was her second in command, Ashskehn. That's why we're called the Ankh's. Herkus, Zofie's mate, was from Yorkshire, but he was doing a dig in Cairo when Zofie found him. So, at least three of us are from Egypt. The rest of us are from all around the Uk. Drogo's from London, just like me and my twin brother Perun, Tatiana and Marko are from Devon and Elodia's from Dublin. We moved here a few years ago from Vancouver. We'd all come from England at first, but we came here after me and my twin were bitten. But, I'm probably boring you. So, do you travel a lot? Our coven does," Aleria asked Allison, after realising that she had told Allison everything. She smiled and thought to herslef: I think I've made a friend!

The other girl began talking about her coven, an information that Allison did not expect would come. She didn't think that the vampire would divulge this much information to someone she just met, especially someone like her. Her purple eyes went away from the vampire at first, traveling towards the humans who were looking at them with jealousy. She knew it was because of their strange casualness with each other. The two most beautiful girls in class, talking to each other like they've been friends for a long time.
"Yes." She answered, her eyes finally averting back to the girl beside her. Her hands began moving though, the teacher seemed to notice they were just talking. "I've been traveling a lot. France, Greece and Spain mostly. I don't remember most of the places I've been to but I know I haven't been to Egypt." Allison laughed silently, a laugh so practiced that she could hardly tell if she just pushed it out or it came by its own.
She had been to a lot of places mainly because of the inheritance that she gained when Ram got killed. Something inside of her told her that she shouldn't tell this vampire that she killed someone already, or at least a vampire. "You're a vegetarian, are you not?" Finally, she wiped away the heavy French accent and settled with English. "It's been long since I saw one like you. Tell me more about you."
If the girl consented, Allison wouldn't have to recount her own story for awhile and it was a perfect plan. She would avoid the topic to turn to her and she'd have to talk about her whole life. Her ears perked up to the ticking of the clock, slowly calculating how many minutes more till the next class.

Ria stared at Allison. Did she want to go through with this? To tell anoher person her whole story? She'd never told anyone but Perun what happened. But, she'd never had a friend before either. "Well, it's pretty long and slightly boring. But I can tell you about it. Well, I was born in 1853, with my brother. We had different names to now but neither can remember them. My mother died when me and my brother were born. My father often got very drunk; he was a soldior. And he would come home and beat me and...I don't really want to say. But he finally died and me and Perun left for Barnado's. I wanted to be a eacher but had to be a maid. Perun was soldior. When he left it was a difficult time na dafter lots of boring things happened I became a nun. I was eventually pushed in a river and caught cholera. When Perun bit me and I travelled with him and his coven that he'd met. We went to New York and drank tramps blood and then moved to Vancouver. We became veggie's then after hearing about a civen who were, in Washington. It was hard Then we moved to Alaska. We heard were the cullens lived in Washigtin and we came to meet them," Aleria shuddered. It felt like a weight was off her shoulders. "And what about you? You must have an interesting past. Mine was sending ME to sleep!" Aleria laughed.

It took Aleria a few minutes to tell Allison about the summary of her life. Aleria's life was something Allison didn't expect. Being self-centered and pretty much on her own, Allison thought that every single person in the world had a family just like hers but it was obvious that she was mistaken. Aleria has experienced a lot more than she did.
"I see. Your life is pretty interesting to me." Allison admitted, giving the girl a smile. She listened intently and when she heard the question being thrown at her, Allison's thin eyebrows furrowed. "Not interesting as yours, I can tell you that." She had to lie. She hasn't told anyone her story and she wouldn't want to start now. "Unlike yours, I had a beautiful human life." That part can be true but the next shouldn't be. Allison reminded herself.
"I don't remember what happened before I got turned. All I know was when I woke up, I was alone. And I've been ever since."
Lies. Lies. Lies.
Allison eased up in her seat, her eyes straight at their teacher when she continued speaking, "It's just now that I've wanted to settle in one place and meet people. Though I know you've discovered that one thing that is entirely different from you and me, I can tell you that I will behave." She turned her head towards Aleria and flung her hair back, "So, shall we continue this experiment? I'm sure that the teacher's wondering about our progress."

Ria could tell that the girl was lieing. When you lie, you get tense and Allison was as tense as a hunted animal. "Yes, we should work," Aleria smiled untruthfully. They worked in silence until the bell rang, simply murmuring things like the plant name.
"I'll see you around then," Aleria smiled and turned to walk down the other way. She'd just been a complete and utter fool. She'd just told a vampire her life story. She didn't even get a real one back. She hoped that she wouldn't see her for the rest of the day. She didn't have long so she took out Les Miserables and red it in the light gloom and grey.
As the bell rang again, she rushed to class, only to see Allison, in front of her usaul spot. She looked at her timetable and then at Allison's. They were going to be in the same classes every week for the rest of the school term!
"Hi again," said Ria as she sat down behind Allison.

Lying has been a natural thing for her and no one ever figured her out. It was an ability she focused on when she was a vampire, yet this acquaintance seemed to see through that. Allison growled softly when she realized that she hasn't been the actress she thought of before. I didn't think someone would actually know, I guess I should work on it. Allison thought as she watched the other vampire went out of the room.
Allison had went towards her next class immediately, and sat down in the middle of the classroom. A few girls had introduced themselves to her, those who were actually nice enough to actually ask for her name. She sat stiffly like an ivory statue on her seat, still contemplating on how that girl could've seen through her lie. Heck, even her father couldn't tell the difference. Allison hated the feeling of being caught, it sent her cool temperament fuming in one blow.
The girl, Aleria, entered the classroom and sat behind Allison. Again. She merely gave a nod and wondered if she should apologize or not. Her vampire side told her that she didn't care if Aleria didn't like her at all. But her human side thought she should apologize. She sighed as the teacher walked inside the room and began lecturing, forgetting that there was a new student in the room.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, in a tone that only someone like her can comprehend. If the other girl didn't take it, then Allison was done. But if... Aleria gave her another chance, Allison will have to tell her the truth. The whole truth.

Ria nodded at Allison's apology. She waned to know her story, but decided that would put pressure on her. But she did want to know why she lied. And she waned to know some cool facts about her, like her favourite colour and how many timesshe'd been through highschool. As the teacher droaned on Aleria thought about asking Allison, but decided to wait until they were doing their work. The teacher asked her a question ad she looked dum struck. She had no idea what he was talking about and she was the braniac. Then she blurted out a random word and it seemed to get past him. He told them there work and what they had to do. Very simple stuff. She sped into the seat next to Allison. As the teacher went to sit at his desk, Aleria began to talk to Allison.
"Hey, I'm sorry I ran off after last lesson. There was something bothering me," she smiled. This wasn't untrue, just missing out a few parts.
"So, where in England do you come from? Can you remember?" Aleria began.

"London.Where else would one prefer to be?" The vampire girl answered silently, a smile gracing her features. "I'm originally from France." Aleria deserved the truth about Allison, being able to figure out that she was lying made Allison respect this vegetarian before her. "1940. World War 2, I think."
Her fingers were moving on their own, doing the work which was expected from them. Allison didn't pay much attention to their teacher and just began saying to Aleria, "You asked me for my story and I shall tell you. If it's not too late." She closed her eyes, as if trying to remember her own life story. Allison didn't need to remind herself of what happened, she remembered them all as if it was written in a book that she just finished reading. "Unlike you, I had a very happy family background. Adults in my family loved me very much though my eldest sister became jealous of me. I was bitten and I ran away from home."
Inhaling sharply, Allison struggled a bit with the next part. "I was with another vampire whom I killed. He was the one who turned me, you see. I was forever angry with him. I began traveling on my own ever since." She couldn't believe she just summarized her own life. She was satisfied about leaving a few important parts like her mother's letters. Then she gave a smile to Aleria, "Boring. Typical and mediocre. I would've written a better life for myself if I had the chance."
