Avery has long, golden blonde hair that goes a few inches below her shoulders. She likes to straighten it sometimes, but most of the time she leaves it slightly wavy. She once had beautiful blue eyes until she was changed. Now her eyes are golden like the sun. Her pale body is slim and fit, and she has slight curves. She has strong cheek bones, which happens to be one of her favorite things about herself. She has soft, small lips that always have a pink tint to them.

In a stranger's point of view, she seems perfect. But if you were to really see her body, you'd notice that she had scars amongst her back and her arms. The scars on her back are long and jagged. The ones that were on her arms and legs were crescent shaped. But she keeps all of these hidden well with long sleeve shirts and jackets.

Avery was the only child to a wonderful married couple. She was born on June 23, 1888. She was a healthy baby, and was said to look like her mother. When Avery turned 3, she was left on the doorstep of Laura Evans, a 47 year old lady. Laura, being a caring person, brought Avery in and treated her like her own. Laura also had a son named Zach, who was 4 at the time. Him and Avery became close instantly. Through childhood, Avery was always spoiled by Laura. Laura would always take the two kids around town to shop.

When Avery turned 14, someone had told her that she looked exactly like her mother. Avery then decided it was time to finally ask about her parents. When she learned that they had abandoned her, Avery was furious. She left to her room, and sulked around until Zach came in. He helped her feel better about everything, and even offered to take her outside to the pond. It was around this time that Avery gained a small crush on the brown haired boy.

By the age of 17, you could consider Avery and Zach to be officially together. It was 2 days before Avery's birthday, and they were getting ready for a small surprise party for her. When the day finally came, Laura sent Avery out to the market to pick her up some food for dinner. Avery, completely unaware of what was going on, came back an hour later. Upon arriving to the house, she saw that all of the lights were off. It was then that she realized that her Aunt was murdered, and she was turned into a vampire on her birthday. After a shocking revenge, Avery then traveled the world until she finally decided to settle in Forks.

Despite her rough past, Avery is a happy, optimistic girl. She always has a smile on her face. She is also very outgoing. It is easy for her to meet new people. She is very liked among all people, unless they knew what she was and were shapeshifters. She can have a slight attitude problem when she is pushed, and she never backs down from a fight. If anything, she loved the thrill of a fight. Avery also loves every type of music. She can play the guitar, and she can also sing very well. Sometimes, she'll sing out in public so people can also have the privelage of hearing music.

She tries to keep her appetite satisfied with only animal blood, but it wasen't as easy for her as most people. She lived many years just drinking human blood. Mainly, she did it to get her anger out about what had happened in her past. After encountering one human her begged for her life, Avery decided that she couldn't hunt humans anymore. This was only 50 years ago. Even now, Avery has problems controling herself around humans. Yet she finds herself interested in the way humans act, and the way they have many imperfections about them. Because of this, you will find her out in public most of the time. But she still enjoys going out to the pond that is near her house. It is the place she goes to when she has something on her mind, or when she is sad.

Avery was on her way back from the market. She had a few tomatoes in her arms, and she tried her hardest not to drop them. As she was walking home, she couldn't help but wonder why she was doing chores today. Today was her birthday, and it seemed as if no one acknowledged the fact that it was. Avery's thoughts came to an end when she saw her house coming up. It was a small house, but it was big enough for the three of them. You see, Laura's husband had left her when Zach was born. After that, Laura never really went out to find another man. She decided that she would rather be with her children.

Avery stepped into the house, and slipped off her shoes. She looked around, and noticed that the house was completely dark. "Momma?" She called, walking towards the kitchen. She set the tomatoes on the counter. To her surprise, no one answered her call. She began to get curious, and walked around to the living room. "Mom? Where are you?" She called again. Once again, she got no reply. When she walked into the livingroom, she felt something wet on her foot. She looked down to see what it was, and couldn't see anything that well. Avery decided that it would be a good idea to just turn on the lights. So she walked across the room, still feeling something wet on her feet.

She turned on the lamp, and looked around the livingroom. Her heart completely stopped at the sight. Ms. Evans, the mother figure in her life, was lying on the couch with blood covering her. Avery held her hand to her mouth, and tears flowed down her cheeks. She heard a sound from upstairs, and finally thought of someone. She quickly tiptoed to the kitchen, and grabbed the closest knife that she could find. She went back into the livingroom, and tried to keep her eyes off of the blood that covered the floor. She walked over to the stairway that lead to her and Zach's room. Blood covered every step, and Avery began to worry more about Zach.

After gathering up enough courage, Avery finally began to slowly walk up the stairway. She could still hear noises coming from one of the rooms up there. She silently made it up to the rooms, and listened quietly. Finally, she heard a noise coming from her own room. Swallowing down the fear, she walked in front of her door. She took a deep breath, and slammed the door open. She held the knife in front of her as she stepped into the open room. She didn't see anyone. "Zach?" She whispered, fear beginning to consume her. "Avery?" She heard his voice call from the farther side of her room. Avery stepped farther into her room, praying that he was okay.

Suddenly, Avery was thrown into a nearby dresser. When this happened, the knife that she was holding got lodged into her left arm. She screamed out in pain, and reached to touch the knife. Suddenly, someone appeared right in front of her. Avery looked up at the figure, only to see a woman that seemed to be in her thirties. Avery tried to push herself away from the figure, which seemed to amuse the person. "What's wrong, child?" Her voice was sickeningly beautiful. Avery was suddenly pulled up by her hair. Avery whimpered at the pain that seemed to pulse throughout her body. The lady grabbed Avery's face, and forced her to look at her.

What Avery was looking at put her into a shock. It was like looking into a mirror, except the reflection was a few years older. The only difference was the splattered blood on her body, and the crimson eyes. The woman grinned even wider as she watched Avery look in shock. Avery finally snapped out of it, and glared at the lady. "Where is Zach?!" She yelled, trying her hardest to seem fearless. This seemed to amuse the lady once again as she chuckled. "He'll be fine, once he recovers from his transformation." Avery opened her mouth to ask what she meant, but was only thrown back into the wall a second time. Avery yelled out in pain as she felt wood stab into her back.

The woman walked over to Avery, laughing once again. Avery tried to push herself back up, but her body lacked any strength that she had. When the lady finally made it back to her, Avery had finally accepted that she was going to die here. The woman bent down in front of Avery, and grinned. "Lady, just kill me already. Please." Avery begged. All she wanted was the pain to go away. The lady chuckled, and ran her fingers through Avery's bloody hair. "Now, why would I kill my own daughter?" Avery cried out at the sudden sharp pains she got from her neck when the woman bit her. Avery couldn't stop screaming, even after the woman pulled away from her. She leaned down, and kissed Avery's cheek. "Happy 18th birthday." And with those last words, Avery's vision turned black.
