- you can try to stop the seasons, girl but you know you never will ---------------------------------------------------------- Sun filtered in through the dark curtains covering the window. In Forks, it wasn't normally sunny so with his eyes squinted against the few rays that hit his face, Kenneth rolled over and looked at the time. It was 7:30 in the morning. With haste, Kenny stumbled out of bed, and rushed to his closet. He was late for school. It was his first day of school, and he was late. What in the world must his teacher be thinking right now? Not bothering with brushing his hair, Kenneth grabbed a dark pair of blue jeans, a t-shirt, and a light jacket. He tied his converse, grabbed his keys, said good-bye to his sister's nanny/nurse, and headed out the door. He felt bad not saying bye to Kamri, but he was running late. Hopefully she'd understand. Starting the car, Kenny sped down the road, and headed toward the school. He pulled into the full parking lot, and found one single spot in the back, farthest away from the school.
Finally reaching the building, Kenneth wiped off the small rain drops that had begun to fall lightly. With a sigh, he looked down at the map that he had picked up a few days previously, and headed in the direction of the english building, marked 2A. He hurried inside and gave his note to the teacher. She gave him a sweet and understanding look and cleared her throat for the classes attention. "Students. This is Kenneth Chang, our new student. He just moved here from China. Please make him feel welcome."

The students were reading some literature that looked like Frankenstein. He read that last year, so he just sat at the desk. Kenny decided to observe the people around him, and one person caught his eye. She was a girl. Very pretty, with beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair like silk. He felt himself staring and immediately dropped his eyes. He wondered if she noticed. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Avery was staring outside the window when 6:50 came around. She was currently lost in thought. Why did everything happen the way it did? She heard her alarm clock go off, and was immediatly beside hit to hit it. She sighed when she saw the time, and decided to get ready. So she decided to throw on a dark, blue tank top with some lace on top with some dark blue skinny jeans. She went over to the mirror, and studied herself to see what she wanted to put on. Quickly, she put a light eyeliner on with some mascara. She had no need for foundation, since her skin was already flawless. Heck, she could walk out with no make up on and she'd be flawless. But she liked doing her make up. It was one of the few things that made her feel human. She brushed her wavy, blonde hair, and decided that she would keep it the way it is. After brushing all of the knots out, she stared at herself in the mirror. Golden eyes stared right back at her. She decided today that she would wear her blue contacts, and bring an extra case just in case they went away. Sure, she knew that fellow vampires just wore their eye color with pride. But Avery once loved her blue eyes. And she wasen't ready to quite give them up. She quickly put them in, and smiled at her reflection now. She looked at the clock, and saw it was already 7:00. She ran downstairs, slipped her converses on, and grabbed her keys. She grabbed the black jacket that was hanging up, and slipped out of her house.
She finally arrived at the school when the clock hit 7:10. She wasen't worried that she would be late. She stepped out of her black car, and quickly made her way to the school. She silently walked right into her classroom 2 mintues before the bell would ring. She made her way to the back of the classroom, and dropped her bag next to her desk. She sat down, and watched as the humans filed into the classroom. Avery enjoyed watching them. The bell finally rang, which meant that class should begin. She sighed as the teacher walked to the front of the class, and told everyone to get their books out to read. Avery pulled out the book titled "Frankenstein." Oh course, she wasen't interested in this book at all. In fact, she's probably read it more than any of these kids have. That's what you get for being 18 your whole life. Avery was snapped out of her thoguhts when she heard the door open. She looked up, and noticed there was a new person in the front. She listened as the teacher spoke, and smiled slightly when she saw he was embaressed. So, he was a new kid? From China? She took her gaze off of him once he sat down, and the teacher began to talk about the book. Sighing, she stared down at the book below her. She suddenly felt as if someone was watching her, and moved her eyes quickly to see who it was. Her eyes met with the ones that belonged to the new kid. She gave him a soft smile before looking away. She tore a piece of paper from her notebook, and wrote on it. She wrote, "Do you need anyone to show you around? -Avery" onto the piece of paper with her red pen. She smiled at her neat handwriting, and quickly put the paper onto Kenneth's desk. Luckily, he sat in the desk that was next to hers, so it wasen't that hard to pass the note without being noticed.

- you can try to stop the seasons, girl but you know you never will ---------------------------------------------------------- The teacher was speaking and going over the book, Frankenstein, and he tried to listen intently. Fail. Kenneth couldn't concentrate on this book, let alone listen to it. He hated reading it in school back home, and he would hate reading it now. Kenny detested even thinking about it. His eyes just remained down at his desk. His mind was off somewhere else. It was on the beautiful girl next to him. Her blonde hair seemed to fall perfectly, her blue eyes soft and kind. When he was looking at her, she had met his gaze, causing him to look away quickly. Why did she smile at him? Now he couldn't stop thinking about it. How she had a smile that made him feel as if there was no one else besides him. All these feelings were scaring him alittle. Kenneth frowned at the thought of being scared of her. She was beautiful, petite, and seemed kind. What was his issue? Just because he hadn't felt like this before, didn't mean he had to be scared. Sighing, he flipped to the next page when he realized they had moved on.
A few moments later, a piece of paper slipped onto his desk. It was from the girl next to him. He opened it slow, to make it seem as if he was uncaring. Meanwhile inside, his heart began to pound and he felt a little nervous. Inside the note, the cute girl asked if he needed anyone to show him around. It was signed Avery. "Avery" Kenny thought to himself, smiling at the name. It fit her perfectly. He analyzed the note carefully, making sure he read the english correctly. He then wrote back in his slightly orange pen. "Yes. That would be very helpful." -Kenneth.
[/size][/size] Kenneth grimaced when he compared their handwritings. Her's was elegant while his was a little messy. Readable, but messy. Sighing, he folded it back up and slid it back to her. Man, the teacher was oblivious. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
