Elizabeth laughed to herself. She found it funny that somebody who just pummelled a guy would walk up and take their coffee. Nice. The boy glanced again at both Elizabeth and Tigan and strode into the coffee shop and grabbed a chair to sit between them.
Elizabeth smiled at his statement, but didn't know what to say. He was trying to woo them. Flirting wasn't really the way Elizabeth ticked. But she tried it anyway. "Nice scuffle out there," she said.

Nate chuckled. To be fair, he probably could have taken the guy down easily within several seconds; straight shot to the solar plexus. Wind him, severe pain and probably give him a nasty night on the toilet. But Nate's Uncle had told him a while back, that getting the seven shades kicked out of you every once in a while was good for the soul. God knows why, but there was a certain edge to it. "Yeah, turns out getting hit alot hurts." He shrugged playfully and regretted it, as a spasm of pain shot up his left. He grimaced briefly before chuckling again. "I'm one of those guys who tends to get into more fights then is really neccesary."

Elizabeth didn't want to take attention away from Tigan, who was staring intently at her half-empty coffee cup. Taking a sip, Elizabeth said, "Maybe you oughtta stay out of trouble for awhile." It was totally pointless for somebody to go around getting themselves hurt just for the benefit of winning a fight. Besides, she didn't like seeing anybody in pain. She joined Tigan in looking away from the boy, unsure what else to say without looking stupid or desparate for male-female interaction.

Tigan had been drinking her coffee and listening to Elizabeth and this boy talking, but till now didn't know what to say. She thought to herself, 'how come boys always think that us girls are going to swoon over them just because they are strong and musculy and get into fights' She then decided to ask him. She turned her head towards him, but before she could ask the question she realized how wonderful he really did look. She shook her head to snap out then continued to ask her question, "Why do you boys seem to think that all us girls will fall to your feet just because you have muscules and get into fights?" She then stared into is eyes waiting for him to answer.

He was taken aback by the other girl's question, as she looked into his eyes for an answer. "Why do you boys seem to think that all us girls will fall to your feet just because you have muscules and get into fights?" For a few seconds, he was stunned. Not by the question, just the temerity. He knew the answer, because he'd watched way too many Documentaries, and because he'd long ago worked out that humans, at their core, are animals. Nate had learnt to keep the fact he had an IQ about 8 times his age from most people; intelligence scared them. Screw it, it scared HIM.
When he answered, he seemed to have considered it, but still spoke with bravado. "It's genetic. Biological. In the Wild, it's the biggest, strongest and most brutal animals that survive. Boys, like me, think that girls, like you, will like us because we can be the stuffing out of anyone in a 5-mile radius and prove that we can survive." He grinned that grin he used when he was either about to hurt someone or was being alittle too smart for his own good. "Of course, there's also the fact that Boys are genetically configured to want to tear each other apart. Especially guys bigger then them. Thing is, it very rarely works for attracting girls."
Though it does help... He thought.

Elizabeth was surprised to find herself turned on. 'This is so wrong,' she thought, chuckling to herself. She was somewhat taken aback by Tigan's bold question, but she saw reason behind it. Boys were always so big in the head. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it got annoying if every guy on the face of the earth seemed to be that way.
Not only was Elizabeth turned on by his knowledgable answer, but also by the danger in his eyes. There seemed to be a fire behind them--a fire she wanted to see for herself, to touch and perhaps get burned...
"Sounds like you know your stuff," Elizabeth said, trying to tone down how impressed she was in her voice. She rested her chin on her hand and couldn't help gazing at the boy. Good God, he was so attractive... intoxicating...

Most girls would swoon at his answer and attractivness. But Tigan wasn't like this, she knew that he was right, but didn't like that guys acted like that anyways. She turned her head back towards the table, with an atitude of you might be right, but you didn't impress me. She then took another sip from her cup as she heard Elizabeth take a deep breath and stared at this boy. Tigan waited for an important conversation to start.

'I can't... this is wrong. He's probably a jerk anyway...' Elizabeth abruptly broke her gaze from the boy, feeling utterly stupid. She wasn't here to swoon at troublemakers; she was here to spend time with her new friend and have an engaging conversation. She hoped her apologetic expression was readable to Tigan in her eyes. She followed in taking a sip from her cup.
She didn't want to totally blow the guy off, but he was the one who wanted to sit and listen to them talk, so he was getting what he came for.
"So anyway... where were we?" she asked hypothetically. "The Cullens... About them being together, I personally wouldn't want to have a 'thing' with my adopted brother... but the doctor and his wife are great parents. If they're fine with it, there's no reason for me to dislike them for it. But it's a shame Edward found somebody...Bella, right? I guess we came just a bit too late. I would have loved having him on my arm." Elizabeth laughed, shaking her head. Her smile left her face almost instantly. "But I dunno. There's always that something about them. I can't figure it out."

Nathan, at that very moment, didn't seem to notice that he'd essentially been given the 'F off'. He didn't know or care about the Cullens, heard a fair bit about them though, he'd been here a while, but living on the Outskirts in a Dog Kennel didn't exactly mean you garnered that much about them. Plus he had his arm to worry about. When he turned away, slipped something out of his pocket and slammed it into his mouth, it wasn't exactly suspicious, nor non-chalant. Gah. Girls had done this to him before, led him on only to shoot him down. Screw it, most of the first 15 years of his life had been solely based around him moaning how incontinentally crap is life was. A few months living with the Aunt and Uncle he had? Anyone would get a grip. But everynow and then, something drew his thoughts back to...her. Tara.
Nate knew that he physically paled with the thought. Knew that his hand holding the Coffee began shaking lightly even as the girl with the dark hair finished off talking about Edward Cullen. Knew that if he didn't find somewhere quick, he'd have a nervous breakdown. Knew that he'd probably throw up that painkiller he'd just taken, not to mention the bacon sandwich before his coffee... Knew that the wall of charm, wit and bravado that he'd forced up to protect him from exactly this would come shivering down like a pane of glass. Knew he couldn't let this happen infront of these girls. When he quietly spoke, it was stuttered and hesitant, completely at odds with his former style.. His entire demeanour was different, gone was the laid-back Wolf, instead a shivering, almost-terrified boy sat in his wake. All because his thoughts had drifted back to that one name, and all the pain, trauma and heartbreak it'd meant. "Erm...Yeah...I'm just going to the...Toilet, yeah, I'll be..." He didn't finish the sentence as he scrambled from his chair, going towards the restroom. Feckin' convenient, Nate. Soons as the conversation dies you ditch it. Shut UP! I can't deal with you right now! His inner monologue tore at him. His Aunt would be worried as hell once he told her, she'd not let him see a girl outside of school for a week...Keep him so preoccupied keeping the dogs underhand that he couldn't move.

Tigan was just about to reply to the conversation the her and Elizabeth were having when the boy spoke up. She turned her head towards him and saw his hand shaking. Then he left oddly saying he was going to the bathroom. "Poor boy doesn't know how to deal with rejection." She said aloud, then continued on with replying to Elizabeth. "Yes the Cullens are very odd and if one of them came up to me and said they wanted to be with me, I would have no problem."

Even though most, if not all, of her attention was now on Tigan, Elizabeth still noticed that the boy popped something in his mouth and began shaking, no, trembling like an old man. His face was twisted in agony, like he wanted to scream. He bolted to the mens' room.
It wasn't fear that was now in her eyes. It was suspicion, anxiety. Her thoughts drained out what Tigan had just said.
'A fighter, and good at it too... Those had to be painkillers he just took... and he was forced to leave the second he started shaking...'
Elizabeth leaned forward, closer to Tigan and whispered, "Do you see that?" She nodded her head towards the bathroom door. "Where have you read about that kind of behavior? Constant fights, the painkillers, and him leaving after he began trembling...? Tigan, can't you see? That boy's a--" Elizabeth had to catch herself. She couldn't believe she was saying this out loud. It was screaming in her thoughts, but it didn't want to escape.

Suddenly Elizabeth came closer to her after noticing something about the boy. Tigan wasn't use to someone being this close to her. Nobody ever wanted to get that close to her for any reason. But as Tigan listen to what Elizabeth was saying, it was like thier brains became one. Tigan thought about what she was saying as she said it. 'The painkillers and the fighting, A vampier would have no need for painkillers, there abilities would keep them from getting hurt from a mere mortal, So he must be a' "Werewolf." She said aloud, she didn't realize that she had said it out loud. She looked up at Elizabeth, "What should we do if he comes back?" She asked her, wondering if him being a werewolf would make her mad or happy.

Elizabeth was relieved Tigan had said it first, and also at the fact that their minds had managed to meld so quickly. She nodded in agreement when Tigan made the statement about vampires not needing pain medication. Elizabeth took a deep breath.
"We should just act casual. I think us blowing him off upset him. So just to make sure he doesn't do it again, we should just smile at him and make sure everything's okay. But we don't want to change our expressions too radically; that might make him think we know something and scare him off."
'He can be angry and leave if he wants,' Elizabeth thought to herself. She mentally begged, 'Just please don't let him see that we know too much.'

I cannot breath, I cannot breath, I cannot FECKING breath! Nathan's thought swirled around him, even as he stumbled into the toilet. He was having a panic attack, brought about by his memory of Tara. Psychiatrist told him not to think on it, said it could cause him harm. He'd listened, but not very well, as this day obviously proved. Those girls would think their rejection of him was the trigger; it was a mistake that everyone made when this happened. Truth was, Nate was more then a little messed up. Bracing himself on a sink and looking at his now-haggard reflection, he saw those same eyes that, minutes before, had been cool, crisp and brilliant. Now, they looked pursued, tortured, battered. That, in itself, made him angry. With a single, fierce blow, he shattered the wall-mirror infront of him, sending a loud crash around the restroom and into the Coffee Shop.
Looking down, Nathan's fist had been bloodied. But that was good. Gave him something to focus on. With a sheer effort of will, he slowed his breathing as he left the restroom, his eyes half-closed. Not wanted those girls, or anyone, to see him in this state, he went instantly for the exit, even as a Shop Assistant went past him to investigate the loud noise. Gotta get away. Gotta get away.
His hand was merely bruised from the incident, and he was regaining his composure, but his left arm was stiffening up, meaning he couldn't move it until the Painkillers took effect.

As Elizabeth finished her statement, she jumped at the sound of a loud crash coming from the back of the shop. She looked at Tigan nervously, wondering what it could have been.
A barista went to go check on the source of the noise, and out came the boy, looking rushed and anxious. Elizabeth kept her eye on him as he approached their table, although he appeared to be going for the exit. She gave Tigan a nod that said, "I'm gonna do it", stood, and grabbed him by the right arm in the hope of finding out what was wrong with him. She already felt terrible enough about making him want to explode; the least she could do was apologize.
'Oh no, you don't,' she thought as she tightened her grip.
