Lexi definitely had to be very careful that she never crossed the line with Griffin. Ugh, this was so much work. She was almost regretting talking to him in the first place. But then she looked at him, his adorable smiling face, and wanted to slap herself. Of course she should have talked to him. Duhhh. ”I don’t think so,” she admitted with a laugh. ”But maybe that’s a good thing. I wouldn’t want you to take out a restraining order on me,” she decided. Even if he did, which she doubted he would, she’d still try to talk with him anyways. Besides, she couldn’t let any other vampire get to him, otherwise they might kill him. He smelled so overwhelmingly delicious; Lexi couldn’t have been the only vamp that thought that. ”I guess it’ll make it easy for you to find me,” she said with a grin.
”Oh well,” she shrugged her shoulders lightly. She knew he wasn’t really hurt and she wasn’t meaning to be mean anyways; no biggy. Ugh, if he could just stop being so freaking perfect for one second, she’d be able to actually talk to him like a normal person. But secretly she was all tongue tied around him, but she still managed to get her words out. But her mind was frazzled. ”No, I care not to. But for you, I shall. I said, you succeed,” she said, pretending to be annoyed by him. She highly doubted he could ever do anything that would annoy her. He seemed like one of those guys that all the girls would fall for. Crap, she just had to think that. Now she was thinking about that random chick he liked again. Boo. ”As long as it’s always the good kind,” she said with a smile. Lexi wanted to stand out in Griffin’s mind, that way she’d be one of the girls that stood out to him. Then maybe she could kick the other chick out of the running and she could take first place for his affections.
”Good luck with that,” she said and rolled her eyes. ”I never pictured you to be the drag queen type, but I suppose you should never judge a book by it’s cover,” she teased. Lovingly, of course. She’d never tease Griffin in the mean way, unless he happened to piss her off or something. She highly doubted that would happen. Sure people could get slightly displeased with each other, but full blown pissed? Naw, she liked Griffin too much for that.
This was insanity. She had completely lost her mind. What was she thinking? Kissing a boy whom she wanted to eat so badly. But that kiss…good Lord it was better than any kiss she’d ever had. The weird thing about it was the fact that the kiss was innocent as far as kisses go. She’d kissed a lot of people, but never had she felt so….’fknbs;kfgnjs;fgkb with a kiss before. Lexi smiled down at his blank look. Well, she had definitely seen that stunned face before, but somehow from Griffin it was just different. She shrugged a shoulder and reached for her dress. ”I never said I was going to put it on,” she said cheekily. Lexi was still perched on his lap, quite frankly not wanting to leave. First, she would ask one more question, then she would get off of him. She figured he had the advantage with him so…distracted by her. ”Is this the right moment yet?” she asked with a grin. It seemed like the right moment to her, then again she would have preferred if he told her the other chick’s name right away. ”Cause I don’t think the other girl would be too happy knowing that you were going around kissing other girls,” she said with a sly grin. That kiss felt like he didn’t even care about the other girl anymore. Boys were weird.

even though he said the line shouldn't be crossed he didn't say that it shouldn't be pushed as much as you could. he liked dancing along the edge of the line seeing how far he could take things. " that's definitely not one of the things i'd do, it would be much more creative " he told her with a small grin. he honestly wasn't sure what he would do if he caught her following him. maybe he would do the same to her and see what she did all day. that was more fun then getting her to stop doing what she did. " i hope it will be easy " he said grinning back at her. he planned on attempting to spend as much time as he could with this girl. and if she was easy to find that would just be icing on the cake, then he wouldn't have to worry about not being able to find her when he wanted to be with her.
he shook his head at her response, could she really be so cold to his fake pain? but he could see that she was just kidding and it was hard for her to even pretend she was really mad at him. that of course made him pretty happy knowing that she couldn't ever really be mad at him. " and that's what i love to hear " he said throwing his hands up in the air like he just won a medal. pushing some hair back he grinned at her very happy he was here with her. " you sure you don't want a hug? " he asked her still grinning happily as he opened his arms out to her. even though he was probably going to get rejected again his mood was too good to be ruined. he just nodded, her different would always be good because she always had him thinking and on the tip of his toes so he wouldn't mess up. he wanted to make sure he didnt' do anything wrong in front of her.
" thanks " he said sarcastically while she just rolled her eyes. ouch, she got him when she called him a drag queen. that was one of the things he would like to avoid being called. he had nothing against them of course, he just definitely couldn't see himself as one. " no you shouldn't " he told her sternly pretending to be unhappy with what she was saying to him. even though he knew she was just teasing, it was going to be fun pretending that what she said to him really did hurt. but he knew that there were probably a lot more insults she could come up with if she really wanted, but he liked the funny ones that came out instead. they were creative and pretty funny even though they were aimed at him.
she was still on his lap and he just wanted to pull her closer so he could kiss her again. and again and again. he wondered if she realized that he wanted her more badly then he'd ever wanted somebody before. and if he couldn't' have her he wasn't sure what he would do. he raised his eyebrows when she reached for her dress. " that's good to hear " he said with a small grin. how he was able to talk surprised him, he was still in shock. and the fact that she didn't seem to want to get off his lap wasn't helping. not that he minded of course, he could stay in this position all night no matter how uncomfortable this rock was. griffin was a little worried when she asked about the right moment. of course this would be the right moment to admit that she was the one he was talking about. but then again he was worried that as soon as he admitted it she would leave and tell him the kiss was nothing serious. it wasn't like she made out with him it was just a simple peck on the lips. a peck that he was playing over in his head again and again, and would probably be thinking about for a while. he thought it over quiet for a while a little nervous about letting this out. " well lets say the girl i was talking about, was the girl i just kissed " he finally let out. and if she didn't understand what he was trying to say this time he would just yell that she was the only girl he was thinking about. he waited really nervous about what she was going to say back to him. would she say she was too busy with the guy she mentioned earlier? or maybe she didn't want a relationship because she was busy with her kid. the suspense was probably going to kill him more then the rejection he knew he was going to get.

She wondered how creative Griffin could possibly get. He seemed like the shy type when she first met him, but he was also now loosening up a whole hell of a lot now that he was actually talking to her. Lexi shrugged and gave him a sly smile. ”Maybe I’ll purposely make it easy for you to tell that I’m stalking you. I’ll wear bright colours and make loud noises or something,” she joked. Now that would be the complete definition of a horrible stalker. The last time she recalled they were supposed to be sneaky, quiet, stealth, and have the ability to blend into the crowd. Lexi was never the type of girl to be able to blend into the crowd. Even when she was a human, she still had all the energy she had now. The only difference was then she had to sleep to regain that energy, and now it was like one constant flow of never ending Lexi insanity. Fun stuff.
Alexandria rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue at him. ”Don’t let your ego inflate your head to abnormal proportions, Mr. Griffin,” she said. While she spoke she tried to stop herself from laughing, but around him it seemed inevitable. At least she was smiling all the time; it would suck if he made her frown and cry all the time. Not that she could cry anymore, but she could feel like she wanted to cry, right? Lexi watched as the next words came out of his mouth. He just asked a much harder question than he probably thought. She knew she should have said no again for his safety, but she couldn’t help herself. ”Fine, you win, I would like a hug,” she said, quite thankful for the fact she couldn’t blush anymore. Lexi gave him a big hug, though she remembered to keep her strength in check the entire time. Breaking his ribs would not be a good idea, plus he probably wouldn’t appreciate that too much.
”You’re welcome,” she replied and stuck her tongue out. Now, Lexi was always the sort to have fun with life, but recently she hadn’t been too happy with the way things were playing out. But now that she had met Griffin, she felt like things were back to the way they used to be, which was most definitely a good thing. She hadn’t joked around the much since before she was stalked by the creeper that changed her into a freaking vampire. Lexi paused for a moment, watching his stern face, before a smile broke out on her face. ”You’re never going to be able to stay or even become mad at me, are you?” she said, most pleased with this new little piece of knowledge. She didn’t like it when people were mad or frustrated with her. It just made her sad on the inside. Knowing that she made Griffin happy and amused made her very happy.
”I thought you might appreciate that,” she said with a self satisfied smirk. What boy didn’t want to have a practically nude girl sitting on their lap? Exactly. Though, right about now he probably thought a human sized popsicle had landed on him. She would get off soon enough, that way he hopefully wouldn’t get too suspicious. Lexi waited, somewhat impatiently, for him to finally answer her question. If he didn’t respond, she was going to smack him upside the head, she swore. Oh, wait, he did. Lexi looked at him for a moment, letting her mind process what he had just said. ”Ohhhhhh,” she said, finally getting it. She smiled, somewhat bashfully which was an odd thing for Lexi to do, and looked down at him. ”I get it now,” she said. Now her spirits were completely soaring. She wanted to go dance around in a circle and jump for joy and yell and sing and kdjfng;fjgbn;gsb. Lexi was happy. Very happy. ”I must say that I approve of that much more than I approved of the thought of you with another girl,” she admitted, yet again thankful for the lack of blush that would ever grace her cheeks. Lexi grinned and got off of him, needing the space before she ate him alive and went to blow out the candles. She put his shirt in his hand, then took the other. ”Come on, wouldn’t want the bears to find us here,” she said and began guiding him out of the cave again. She stopped in the moment, the start surrounding them, and went up on her tippy toes to whisper something in his ear. ”And by the way, you didn’t kiss me, I kissed you. You were taking too long,” she said, her light laughter filling the empty cave.

she just shrugged at him with a smile that he knew had to be hiding something interesting. but was he ready to find out what it was? probably not, but that didn't keep the curiosity away. he grinned at her attempt to make herself more obvious. then again you didn't see too many redheads running around barefooted doing god knows what. " you should definitely do that " he told her with a serious nod. then he could find her easily and he'd be able to convince her hopefully to do something with him other then follow him around all day.
" too late, it's already started " he said with a grin as she started to laugh. he just couldn't get over her laugh he loved seeing lexi with a smile on her face. she looked much more adorable then when she was pouting, then again he found that cute too. maybe he just found all the faces she made cute in general. that would definitely make much more sense to him. he was surprised when she finally gave into the hug, but happy at the same time. another excuse for him to touch her was one he was going to take. she gave him a hug and he wrapped his arms around her and held her a little longer then he knew he should. but he finally had her in his arms and you expect him to let go that easily?
she stuck her tongue out at him but just glared at her unhappy with her comment about him in the dress. he was going to keep up this angry attempt to see how long he could keep the charade up. but then she started to smile and he had to bite his lip to keep himself from smiling back at her. darn her for being cute and him for not being able to at least pretend to stay mad." no "he admitted with a sigh. he couldn't stay mad at her for too long, she was just too amazing for him to be mad at. this was no fair he could see himself losing many arguments to her in the future.
" very much so " he admitted to her. how could he not be happy with her keeping that dress off, he had quite an amazing view. even though he felt like a tool of a guy thinking about this he was a guy and he couldn't censor his thoughts at least he would try to censor what he was saying. she seemed a little impatient to hear what he had to say and he was curious to why she wanted to know so badly. she finally seemed to get all the puzzle pieces together. and he was glad that he didn't have to scream it out loud cause he wasn't sure what was out there." i was hoping you would " he said a small grin. he froze for a moment as he waited to see what she was going to say about it. when she told him she approved he couldn't keep the smile off his face. it was hard for him to keep all the excitement inside of him but he would just wait till he was alone to explode with happiness. but when she was saying that did she admit to being a little jealous of him and another girl? he decided not to say anything for now, but the thought of that kept the smile on his face a little longer. maybe she was just as interested in him as he was in her. she got off of him and he wanted to pull her hand back so they could continue what had started earlier. but she went over to blow out the candles and it was almost pitch black it was hard for him to see. he felt his shirt being put into his hand and lexi holding the other. he followed her as she lead him out of the cave wondering if she was serious about bears in the cave. griffin had to admit he was a little worried but hopefully they would be out by the time these so called bears came back to their cave. she stopped and he was worried maybe there was something in front of them but instead she whispered something and he leaned in closer to hear what she had to say. he couldn't help but laugh along, she did have a point. " well next time, i promise i'll be faster " he told her turning and kissing her on the cheek before she got off her tippy toes. he grinned even though he wasn't sure if she'd be able to see it or not. " well let's get going, like you said we don't want bears finding us " he said changing the subject quickly. even that little peck on the cheek had his heard racing, if only he'd just aimed a few inches more he could have gotten her on the lips. but he was going to have to be patient and wait till he could at least see where he was going.

”Aww, that’s too bad,” she mused with a small frown on her face. Of course it was a fake frown. She couldn’t really find herself frowning for serious around him and she hoped she never would. ”I thought your head was proportioned nicely with your body before. Does this mean you’re not going to be attractive any more and instead will look like some sort of bobble head doll?” she asked him. Oh great, now she had the image of Griffin with a massive heady on a spring bobbing back and forth. Yes, that’s what she wanted to think about when she thought about him. Though, she had to admit that the thought of that was rather amusing, so maybe it was okay that she was thinking oddly like that. She just wouldn’t tell Griffin out loud that she was imagining him with a giant, bobbing head. He might think she was odd or something.
Ugh, this was pure torture. The closer she was to him, the louder his heart beat was in her ears. Touching him was a massive mistake. His warm flesh was just beneath her finger tips and there was only a paper thin barrier between her mouth and the blood that flowed through his veins. It was a damn good thing he couldn’t see her very well, cause she was fairly certain her eyes were a deep burgundy that they were almost black with hunger. Om nom nom. No! No om nom nom! She had to keep Griffin alive. The fact that the hug was so amazing was the only thing that reminded her this, thankfully. When Griffin finally admitted the fact that she basically had him wrapped around her little finger, she grinned quite happily. ”You should be happy with that fact, yet you seem displeased. Or maybe I should just be happy with the fact,” she reasoned out loud. One on hand, it’d be harder for Griffin cause he wouldn’t be able to stay mad at her. On the other hand, it be great for Lexi cause that meant he’d always like her anyways.
Lexi grinned but couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Yup, that was a typical guy response, alright. But she didn’t mind. If some guys said that, she’d probably feel objectified. But when Griffin said it, she took it more as a compliment. It was a good thing she couldn’t blush because her entire body would be bright read at the current moment. Lexi smiled down almost shyly and then had to look away. Though she couldn’t blush, looking away was always a nervous habit of girls when they got all shy. ”You had me worried there for awhile. Thinking you liked some other girl,” she admitted, though with amusement in her voice to hide her slight embarrassment. She was freaking over the moon happy with the fact that he liked her rather than some ho. She would have eaten the stupid ho anyways. ”I’ll keep you to that promise,” she said. She definitely would too. She smiled like a silly little love struck school girl when he kissed her cheek, but couldn’t resist the perfect timing to tease him a little. ”You have crappy aim,” she teased, noting that he didn’t kiss her lips.
Though it was pitch black and as a human he couldn’t see a damn thing, so getting her cheek was better than kissing her eyeball or something. Lexi could see his broad grin through the dark and her face spread into a smile, though she was thankful he couldn’t see her because she was smiling like an idiot. For second she forgot about leaving the cave until he reminded her. ”True, though the worst thing that’s in the cave are probably just leeches,” she joked. She hadn’t seen any when she was swimming underneath the water, so she figured they were home free. She would have smelt the blood had a leech bit Griffin anyways. ”Or maybe bats. I kinda like bats, but not when they’re near me. When they fly over head in the forest at night, they’re kinda cute,” she reasoned as she led him out of the cave. Was that a bit stereotypical? Though, she couldn’t actually turn into a bat, she just liked them. Lexi smiled at the sound of Griffin’s heart beat. She was almost worried that she’d give the poor boy a heart attack. Finally they reached the outside of the cave and she hadn’t a clue what time it was. The only good thing was that it was going to be a cloudy day, so she didn’t have to worry about sparkling. It was getting slightly lighter outside so he could probably see her better. She wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not. She prayed her eyes had gone back to normal. Wait, that would be bright red. Maybe black would be better. ”Would you like to pick our next destination?” she asked, letting her dress dangle from her fingertips so it would dry.

he looked up curiously when she spoke wondering what she meant. then when she continued his mouth opened as he thought about what he would look like with a big head. but then it closed up when he realized the fact she said he wouldn't be attractive anymore. the fact that she thought he was attractive was definitely an uplifting thing. but the big head thing was rather scary he would like to stay proportional. " well i must stay attractive just for you " he told her with a wink. griffin was so comfortable around lexi he was actually kind of worried. normally he would watch most of the things around girls not wanting to scare them off or for them to think badly of him. but now he felt comfortable just saying what was on his mind, which weren't always good things. but lexi didn't seem to mind, or maybe she did but wasn't saying anything about it? he sighed as he thought it over wondering what he should do. maybe he should just tone it done a little and see how that goes.
as he hugged he he couldn't help but notice again how cold she felt. her skin was like ice, and even though hugging her felt amazing he worried that maybe she really was cold? even though she didn't seem it, he really wished he has a jacket or something to offer her. he thought about the explanation she had given him earlier, he could barely remember what it was that she had said. pushing it out of his mind he just wanted to enjoy having her in his arms. she seemed very happy with the face that she seemed to have complete control of him. then again what woman wouldn't want complete control over a man? " you should just be happy, i'll just deal with it " he said with a grin. well it was bad for him that she had him so caught up with her, he was willing to do almost anything to be around her. he already decided to ditch school and not worry about his parents or his grade. and he risked his neck climbing up that mini cliff thing even though he was afraid of heights. and lastly he went into a dark cave with her that he had no idea what could have been crawling around in there. but he was still happy anyways, he didn't mind so much because he got to be around her and just that was enough for him. for now at least.
she didn't bother replying to him, she probably just thought he was like all the other guys. but of course he didn't blame her, it was definitely a response you would expect from the average male. he wished that he could stay in this moment forever, just him and her alone with her sitting on top of him. griffin didn't need anymore then that he just wanted them to talk, even though he was a guy he even wasn't ready to go too far. he had to admit he was a little surprised with what she told him, he couldn't think of a reason why she had to feel worried. even if he really did like another girl after spending a day with lexi he would doubt he would even remember the girls name. if only he had better sight then he wouldn't have to worry about crashing into a rock or crashing his foot into a rock. which he unfortunately had done many times, he wasn't sure if his little toes could take anymore banging tonight. but he was glad it was dark, because if he intended on keeping that promise there was going to have be much more kissing in the future. and that was definitely something he liked to hear, and she said she'd keep him to the promise. so it seemed like that was the kind of thing she wanted to hear too. " well it's good for a guy who can't even see his right hand " he told her pretending to be annoyed. of course he knew she'd able to see through it, he already admitted to not being able to be angry with her.
griffin tried following lexi carefully not wanting to crash into anything once more. but it was hard for him to even see her if it wasn't for her hand in his he would be completely lost and utterly confused. his eyes widened for a bit when she talked about leeches. even though it sounded like she was joking how was he suppose to know or not. he was just going to have to hope and hope that he would get out in one piece without a leech stuck on any part of his body. then she continued to speak, was she attempting to scare him on purpose? because it seemed to be working, he didn't know anything about the caves or forests in forks so he couldn't tell if she really was joking. " yeah, very cute " he replied sarcastically trying to follow her a little faster not wanting to be in this cave any longer then he had to. griffins heart skipped a beat when he could see a light, they were safe and he was still in one peace. they were out of the cave and griffin looked back reminding himself to find out more about forks before following lexi in random places. he wished he brought his phone with him, at least he'd be able to know what time it was and he'd have it in case he really needed it. but it was just sitting on his desk where he couldn't use it. turning to lexi when he spoke griffin could see so much better then in the cave. he could actually see all the details in her face and her without a dress that was too busy in her hands to be put on her body. " well since you know the place a lot better you can pick " he told her with a small shrug. he wouldn't have a clue where to go next, he barely knew the area. but lexi seemed to have a lot of interesting places that she liked to go too. maybe she had another one for him to see.

Lexi looked at him as she spoke and tried not to burst out laughing. What the hell was with that face? He was gonna let flies in if he didn’t close his mouth soon. Though maybe he should leave it open. Though it was kind of mean, she wanted to see if a fly would actually go in there and if he would accidentally swallow it. It was like that song about the old lady who swallowed a fly and then ended up dying. But that’s because she ate too many other things along with that. She’d make sure that Griffin didn’t swallow anything other than the fly. ”Thank you, I appreciate that,” she said with light laughter and then thought about it for a moment. She was so drawn to him that she didn’t think it mattered what he looked like. Of course, the fact that he was freaking gorgeous helped a bit. ”But I think I would like you even if your head did explode slightly. Maybe I would just be a bit freaked out. But hey, I’d get used to it, just for you,” she said with a grinning, winking right back at him. Lexi thought about it for a moment and then smiled at him. ”You know, you’re a lot more fun now that you actually talk to me, rather than just standing there staring at me,” she said with amusement in her voice.
”Fine, I’ll be happy. And hey, maybe you won’t have to deal with it. Maybe even though I will be able to control you, I will let you be happy, too. That way we can both be happy yet I can control you haha,” she said with a sly smile. Plus, even if she did have control over Griffin, she liked him too much to ever make him feel truly sad. She could hear his heart beat, and heart beats often gave away emotions a lot of the times. If anything, Griffin had control over Lexi, much more than he would ever know. She’d never tell him that, of course, because then he’d probably be able to get her to do anything. That wouldn’t be the greatest thing ever, because then she’d be like a little slave girl. Regardless, as long as Griffin was happy, she’d be happy. ”I must say, Mr. Griffin, that you are in fact a very intriguing person,” she mused out loud. ”Not many boys would scale a cliff for a girl, despite how pretty they thought the girl was,” she pointed out. ”Which intrigues me even more, cause obviously that means you trust me. Are you a very trusting person, Griffin, or am I just special?” she asked with a half smile. She secretly wanted to be just special.
You know what the ironic thing was? While Griffin probably had his thoughts about the nearly naked Lexi, everyone was putting everything on him. She had to admit that she had her fair share of thoughts. She was the girl that was very open when she liked someone or wanted someone, hence why her amount of one night stands was somewhat large. But now? She was censoring herself. That was odd. But she wanted to make a good impression on Griffin and even if she did say what she wanted, it’d be too dangerous for him. He’d probably end up dead. Boys would do a lot to get laid, but they wouldn’t die. Most of them, at least. Lexi laughed at his annoyance and grinned broadly at him, though he couldn’t see it if he couldn’t even see his hand. ”Fine, you have good aim. But when we’re in the light there’s gonna be no excuse,” she teased. Even if he did have constantly bad aim, she’d have no problem with helping him get better aim. No problem at all. ”Even if you do suck, I’ll help you with it,” she said cheekily. She definitely had experience. She was never going to tell Griffin just how much experience that was, but she had quite a bit. Good Lord, she was only nineteen, too. Lexi briefly wondered if that meant she was a slut and she decided on no. She just liked fun.
Lexi looked over her shoulder and grinned to herself. So he was afraid of little leeches, was he? Well, he should definitely be afraid of them in her presence, only because once they broke the skin she’d be breaking it too. Lexi stopped for a moment and looked at him through the dark. ”You don’t like bats? Aww, they’re completely harmless. It’s not liked they turn into vampires or something,” she said, laughing more so at the irony of it rather than the words themselves. She continued walking and leading him out of the cave. His heartbeat sounded slightly frantic to her. ”You’d follow me into a volcano if I went, wouldn’t you?” she asked with a laugh. At this point, she thought he might. Except, a volcano was one of the few things that would actually kill her, so she wasn’t stepping near one any time soon. Lexi smiled and began leading him out of the forest, though she still hadn’t let go of his hand. If she was going to be around him, she was going to have to get used to his scent and his touch, otherwise they’d be in big trouble. ”Come on, I’ll make you breakfast. We’ve been out here forever and you’re probably starving,” she said. After all, he was a human and he was a boy and he was a teenager. That was just about the worst combination when it came to appetite. She eventually led Griffin to Jacob’s house, merely because she didn’t want him to meet Penny yet. She knew Jacob was out hunting anyways. She led him inside, glad that the neighbours were probably all asleep so they didn’t see a mostly uncovered girl leading a boy into someone else’s house. ”What would you like?” she asked as she routed through the fridge.

even though he seemed to be making a fool of himself lexi always had a smile on her face. but to him it seemed like it was worth it, at least he knew that when she was around hims he was happy. but toning it down was still running through his head, he didn't want her to think too badly of him that he was never serious and such. then again being serious was no fun, and he definitely liked to have fun. " your very welcome " he said grinning as she laughed. he just couldn't get over how much he loved to her her laugh. " well that's good to hear "he said and he couldn't help laughing. griffin was glad that she'd still like him if he had a slightly bigger head, but he really did hope it would stay the size it was now. he wasn't too sure he'd like looking in the mirror one day and noticing that his head now made his body disproportional. and then she went back to how he was acting before, how embarrassed and awkward he was. it wasn't his fault, he came across a gorgeous girl in the woods and was tongue tied. what was he expected to say? and at least he eventually got use to what was going on. " let's not talk about that " he said looking away embarrassed from just thinking about it. hopefully he wasn't blushing, that would just be the cherry on top of everything.
he listened as she spoke and thought it over. if she was going to have control over him he might as well be happy right? it didn't seem like such a bad deal to him, even though other people would wonder what was wrong with him. " i think that could work for me " he told nodding a bit. and if she had control over him that would mean he would get to see her often, and that would definitely be a plus. but he liked the fact she was pushing him and he could see clearly where his limits were. maybe he'd somehow get over his fear of heights and maybe actually live up to the name griffin. he could see himself flying around in planes without actually getting too sick. griffin turned to her when she started talking about how he was intriguing. that was definitely a world he would like to have describe him much more in the future. she pointed out all the things that he did and wondered if he was trusting or maybe it was just her. he immediately knew the answer, of course it was just her. if any other girl asked him to do the things she did he probably would have refused and walked away. but with her he was willing to follow her anywhere she wanted him to go. even though he decided to pretend to think about it a little, make her wonder what he was going to say next. " i think it might be that your special, but i could be wrong " he said with a shrug.
she laughed when she spoke and he knew she probably had a grin or a smirk on her face. if only he could see it, well if only he could see anything. griffin didn't' like wondering around in the dark, it was one dangerous and two he was still worried that something was out there. " deal " he said as he walked a little closer to her. griffin grinned at her next comment, he of course would have no problem with that. maybe if he pretended to have constantly bad aim he would get more kisses from her? that was definitely going to be something he was going to try out and see how well it worked. " that i will look forward too " he admitted to her. why stop being honest with her now? he already gave all the generic male responses might as well finish up.
she turned, well at least he thought she turned he couldn't be a hundred percent sure in this darkness. but she stopped moving so he waited for her to say something. " i'm just not a big fan " he told her in a flat voice as she just laughed. he was glad to be out of the cave, glad to see everything. when she spoke about him following her, he wondered if he really would. if the situation came up griffin didn't know what he would do, but she was right he probably would. he was a guy and he was whipped, but he wasn't sure if that was a bad thing yet. " it depends on if i get something for following you " he told her with a grin. if he said something like she'd make out with him if he did, then he would be there ready to go. he looked up surprised when she said that she would make him breakfast. " that sounds awesome " he admitted as he followed her. he would be alone with her in her house? now that was something he definitely wanted to happen. they went through the neighborhood and he was glad that nobody was out. but he was a bit surprised that lexi could walk around so comfortably around in her underwear. then again nobody was out so who would see? walking into the house he looked around and followed her into the kitchen. he look a seat at the table while she looked around the fridge, " anything you want to make " he told her with a shrug. he was a teenage boy he ate almost anything, he didn't really care.

Was it just her, or were they really weird freaks for standing there debating about the size of Griffin’s head? She thought they might have been slightly freaky, but do be honest she didn’t mind at all. She liked their conversation, despite how weird it always seemed to get. Apparently they were the weird sort of people. At least they were content with that. They were just two weird little bunnies bouncing along. Though Alexandria wouldn’t mind if he had a massive head, she’d prefer it if he just stayed the way he was now. There was always that stupid cheesy saying that people put in the yearbooks, ‘You rock, don’t ever change’ but she thought it applied in this situation. Lexi smiled broadly at his bashfulness and tried not to laugh. ”Aww,” she cooed. ”But that takes away the fun from everything.” Lexi pouted and looked at him; she totally wanted to bother him about the way he was before. It was so damn cute, though she must say that she enjoyed his conversation now. ”I suppose I won’t talk about that,” she said. ”At least, not right now,” she mumbled with a mischievous grin.
There was only one slight little problem. It was probably best not to have control over Griffin. He might not be safe that way. Then again, if she told him to run, he would run. Unless he liked her so much that he wanted to stay. Then he’d be screwed, and not in the good way. ”See? I’m not a dictator. I’m like…I nice little princess,” she thought out loud with a smile. She always wanted to be a knight, rather than a princess. Mostly because the knights got to ride around on horses and meet dragons. She wasn’t too fond of the slaying part, but maybe she would meet nice dragons, like in Shrek. That was a darn good movie. The sequel was okay, but the third one just sucked. Then again, that could have just been her general dislike for anything that wasn’t Pixar popping up. In her opinion, if Pixar didn’t make it and it was animated, it was going to suck. After all, look how amazing Finding Nemo and Up were. She was like a giant kid. This was another reason she was glad to have a kid now. She could go to all the children’s movies without getting funny looks. ”No, no I definitely think you’re right,” she said, sticking her tongue out at him. The girl was always right, and if she decided that he was right, it meant he was right. She liked to think that Griffin thought of her as special. It made her feel, well, special.
Lexi definitely knew that Griffin like lots of aim practice. At least, the way he looked at her told her that. Besides, humans thought vampires were beautiful, so a human would be very inclined to want to kiss someone as beautiful as Lexi. She just hoped he liked her for her, not some stupid vampire asset. ”Thought so,” she laughed lightly, rolling her eyes slightly. He was honest, and that she certainly liked, despite how typically male that was. It was a good thing? Perhaps. Perhaps. Boo. She liked bats. ”Are you a fan of Halloween then? After all, sometimes people put up those decorations where it’s like bats hanging from the roof or wherever over the door step,” she asked. She personally loved Halloween because she loved dressing up. Now she could dress up Penny in the most adorable little costumes and have an excuse to go trick or treating with her. Lexi pretended to have to think about it before responding. ”Yup, I guess you could get something. But you’d have to wait and see what. I’d be a surprise,” she said decisively. But no volcanos. But surprises, sure. Surprises were nice as long as they were good ones. She’d definitely give Griffin nice surprises.
Lexi grinned to herself and continued along. Her mother always said that a way to a man’s heart was through his stomach. At least she had someone to cook for now. It wasn’t like she could cook for Jacob; he could very well catch his own dinner. But Lexi liked feeling useful sometimes and she didn’t need Griffin to die from starvation, nor exhaustion. It didn’t phase Lexi that they weren’t actually in her house. But she spent a lot of time here anyways. ”One time my sister made scrambled eggs with chocolate chips and convinced me to try them,” she said as she pulled out eggs, milk, and pancake mix. ”They were not good. I was disappointed, to be honest. I thought it was going to be delicious. I like eggs, I like chocolate. But alas, it failed,” she sighed dramatically. Well, she used to like those things. She wished that she could still like them, but they just tasted icky now. How she missed cupcakes and other sweets. She took out the unused pan and put it on the stove, turning the heat on. ”Hold on, cooking half nude probably isn’t the best idea,” she said with a wink as she went upstairs to grab some proper clothes. Of course she couldn’t get hurt or anything, but she needed to appear human. She found one of her tank tops and a pair of capris and threw them on. There, clothed. Poor Griffin, haha. She mixed up the pancake batter and poured a couple circles in the pan, then sat on the counter with her legs crossed. ”So, skipping school. Grade twelve?” she asked.

the whole big head thing was bothering him, he was going to have to be checking it every morning now just to make sure his head was the correct size. and he had to make sure it was a normal size so that lexi would always like his proportional body. and he of course wanted to do everything to get her to her to stay liking him. if she came to him one day and just got over him he wouldn't know what do do. " good, we don't need the kinda fun we get from talking about that " he told her as she pouted. but it wasn't going to work this time, he did not want to talk about it. then she continued and the pout turned into a grin. he was going to have to face up tot he music soon, even though he will try pushing it as far as possible.
" a nice little princess? " he repeated with a small laugh. out of all people he would imagine being princess' lexi was definitely not at the top of that list. she seemed to be much more extreme and he couldn't see her walking around properly in a big poofy dress. she seemed more like the girl who would get in trouble all the time for acting unladylike. he could see her running off and fighting the dragon to protect the kingdom. but then again that was just how he saw her, she just seemed to extreme to be ruling a kingdom from a chair. then again maybe she could do that, and she would just be out at night and save everyone with a mask on. shaking his head he got rid of the silly thoughts he was coming up with. " maybe, but its possibly im wrong " he said grinning while she just stuck her tongue out at him. of course he wasn't wrong but making her seem like he doubted it, he was having fun.
she just rolled her eyes already probably knowing that he of course would love to practice kissing her. what guy wouldn't want to? other then the fact that she looked amazing, she had an amazing personality to match. " well dressing up is always fun " he admitted with a shrug. and he loved how everyone just gave out candy even if the didn't believe in halloween. they just didn't want to get their house egged, kids were so mean. she waited to answer him making him just more anxious to see what she was going to say. then finally she started to speak about if he would get something " well i like a good surprise " he said with a grin. and she seemed to have many good surprises up her sleeve. griffin continued looking around the house still a little surprised that he was there. this was about the time he would consider getting up to go to school but would end up sleeping for another hour because he didn't feel like getting up. he was a boy and he was a teenager, that should have been expected of him. and as long as he wasn't too late to school he didn't care. griffin wondered where lexi's daughter was, or maybe lexi had left her at a babysitters house. he wasn't sure but he knew it would be very awkward if her daughter walked in and saw her mom kissing some guy. which is what he definitely hoped would happen, just not the walking in part. he didn't want to leave a bad impression on the kid, that would not go well.
he turned to look at lexi as she started speaking about her sister. griffin was curious to hear more about lexi's sister she seemed to talk about her a lot so he guessed they were close. maybe he'd even get a chance to meet this famous sister of hers. he continued listening to her story about eggs and chocolate chips. in theory it did sound very good and would definitely be something he would try if it was given to him. he waited as she pulled some stuff out of the fridge, when he spotted pancake mix he was excited. it had been a long time since he had somebody make him pancakes, and seeing as though he had no cooking skills himself he couldn't even make them. he usually just dealt with things you could pop in the microwave or the toaster for breakfast. he couldn't help but laugh when lexi finished her story with her dramatic sigh. that sigh just made the story so much better. " it was a good thought though " he told her with a smile. if she hadn't told him it failed he would have definitely tried some of it was offered. he of course was a little disappointed when she went to put some clothes on but then again he didn't want her to get hurt while cooking. now that was definitely not on the agenda, and he would feel horrible cause she was making him breakfast. he waited for her to get dressed wondering how long it would take her. griffin turned surprise to see her already walking down the stairs, not long at all. he grinned when she sat on the counter, she definitely had an interesting way of cooking and he was excited to try. " yep, senior year finally done " he told her. even though he worried about his future griffin wouldn't deny that he really did want to get a start on his life away from his parents.

”Oh, but it would be so much fun,” she said with a small pleading smile. Did he not know how unbelievably cute he had been? He was like a stuttering little monkey. Well, if monkeys stuttered. Did the stutter? Now Lexi had the sudden urge to go to the zoo. Maybe she could steal Griffin one day and they could go to zoo. ”Well, maybe not,” she said with a little grin. ”Though, maybe if I could be a princess one day, and then a knight the next it would be a good balance. I could wear pretty things and then go ride around on horses with a sword,” she thought, her brain going off into la la land. Then again, her brain always seemed to visit there. Almost as much as her brain visited Lexi Land. ”Except I would totally never wear a corset. I like to breathe. A boustier, maybe, but only if it was for the prince. It wouldn’t last long on anyways,” she said with a grin and a wink. Haha, maybe Lexi would be a mistress, rather than a princess or a night. That title seemed to fit her better.
Lexi shook her head stubbornly. ”No, you’re right,” she decided for him. ”Don’t men usual like it when women admit that the men is right?” she laughed. She knew her father loved it when her mother finally gave and admitted that he was right. Then again, that was probably only because he never, ever, ever, ever got anything right, at least not by her mother’s standards. ”Maybe you’re the different one, not me,” she pointed out. Well, Griffin was certainly different than anyone she’d ever met before. His blood was basically calling out to her. Why did it have to be Griffin? She liked him, she liked him a lot, so why did she have to want to kill him? She didn’t understand how that could possibly be fair to either of them. He liked the person who wanted to drink his blood. Twisted. Then again, he didn’t know that. Thankfully.
Lexi nodded in agreement. ”One year I was a spoon,” she said with a happy smile on her face. ”My friend was a spork.” Secretly she wanted to be the spork, but then she remembered one important thing. Sporks were like mutants. They couldn’t decide whether or not to be a spoon or a fork. She didn’t want to be a mutant utensil. ”You’ll definitely like this one,” she said with a smile. Oh yes, he would. And if he didn’t, that would make Lexi very, very sad. ”I’ll give you a hint. It starts with a K and ends with a smile,” she said. Okay, maybe smile wasn’t in the word, but it would most likely be on his face when by the time she was done with him. And if a smile was not there, then she failed. Boo.
”It was. I was actually horribly depressed when it turned out that it sucked,” she sighed. ”But I guess I’ll keep my eggs separate from my chocolate,” she shrugged. Not that she would eat it now. It would REALLY taste bad thanks to her vampiness. Lexi didn’t spend too much time in Jacob’s room because she wanted to get back down to Griffin. Oh, was it bad to be cooking breakfast for some guy in the house of the guy that you were friends with benefits with? Probably, but she couldn’t have Griffin seeing Penny yet. Too many questions would come if he saw her a month later, looking a lot older than she should. ”Grade twelve sucked last year. I never paid attention to anything. Then again, I don’t pay attention to anything in general,” she grinned mischievously. Lexi spun on her butt 90º to face the stove, her legs still crossed like a little 3 year old. She grabbed the spatula flipper thing and flipped the pancakes. Perfect golden brown. She was sad that her stomach didn’t growl for the food. Instead it hungered for Griffin. Darnit. She made a few more pancakes, then used the pan for making eggs. ”How do you want your eggs?” she asked from the counter, as if sitting there making breakfast was the most normal thing in the world. Well, nothing was normal about Lexi.

" for you, i don't want to talk about that " he said making sure not to look at her smile. why talk about how he made a fool of himself when they could talk about cooler things like the fact how he wasn't being a fool right now. " i think that could work " he said with a grin. he could see lexi doing both of those things, fighting a dragon one day, and wearing a crown being proper the next day. she just seemed to fit both roles together, but separately he wasn't so sure. his eyebrow raised, she seemed to love playing with him and he wasn't sure how much he could take. maybe she was just too much for him, but he was going to have to deal with it because he wasn't letting go anytime soon.
she seemed to have already made up his mind for him. he of course didn't mind because his mind was already set on that, but he liked to play around with her. " well, i won't deny i like being right " he told her with a small grin. of course he wanted to be right about certain things, for example he didn't want to be right about lexi rejecting him for a kiss. but he definitely wanted to be right about knowing he would get more of that in the future. " well, we both can be different together " he told her with a shrug. being different alone may be lonely so why not have somebody else along with you. and he knew that she definitely was different, and he liked this type of different probably more then he probably should. and thinking about himself he knew he was probably different then most guys his age. but if that helped him get girls like lexi then he wouldn't' mind.
he grinned when she talked about her halloween costume. just imagining her in a spoon costume bought a smile to his face. " would you happen to have photos? " he asked her. griffin would pay just to see photos of her as a spoon, how amazing would that be. he definitely believed when she said he'd like it and listened as she hinted. a k and a smile, that definitely sounded like something he would like. if only he could get this now, it would be so much better.griffin thought back to the kid lexi said she had, penny he believed her name was. he realized he didn't even know how old she was, or how old lexi was when she had her. he had to make sure that he asked later. all he knew was that it obviously couldn't be recently because she definitely didn't look like she just had a baby. his thoughts continued to wonder to her daughter, he wanted to see her even though he'd barely known lexi. shaking his head, he hoped he would be introduced to her but when lexi felt like it was the right time. griffin definitely didn't want to rush into anything, or make her rush into anything.
he thought it was pretty cute that the fact that eggs and chocolate didn't mix could depress her. but then again, having your favorite foods not go well together could be pretty depressing he thought to himself. " it's for the best " he said when she spoke about not mixing them. it would probably be the best for her and the food. then she could enjoy the separately and wouldn't be disappointed when it tasted bad together. he continued watching her cook getting hungry just from the smell of the batter. griffin hadn't even realized how hungry he was until he actually saw all that food put out in front of him. he grinned, when she admitted not paying attention," i don't mind it so much " he replied with a shrug. he wasn't the type of kid who hated school, of course it was a pain in the neck but other then that he didn't mind. and it gave him and excuse to get out of the house for hours a day, that was definitely a plus for him. he watched as she made the pancake, they seemed to come out perfectly. and it looked amazing, he could just hear his stomach growling while he watched. she continued making more pancakes and he was so memorized by them he almost didn't hear her question. " scrambled please " he said remembering his manners. when she was turned griffin reached over and grabbed a piece of pancake and started chewing on it. so much for manners, but he was hungry he couldn't help it. hopefully she wouldn't be too angry with him.

”I definitely would rock at it, to. There’s no denying it. Kick but during the day, wear jewelry at night. What more could a girl want? Besides a pony. But I would totally have a pony! Hell, I could have ten if I wanted. But that’s an awful lot of poop. That’s what stable boys are for though. Hey, you wanna be my stable boy?” she said with a mischievous grin. No, she would never put Griffin in the stables. Unless she was mad at him hahaha. He could be the prince right along by her side. But since he was a human, she’d probably make him stay the prince all day. None of this moonlighting as a knight as well. She couldn’t have to worry about as well as worry about the rest of her kingdom. Queendom? Queendom. That would be disastrous. Lexi laughed when his only response to the boustier was to raise his eyebrows. ”You know you’d love to see me in that,” she said, unable to keep a straight face.
”I will try to make sure you are right all the time then, if it keeps you happy,” she decided. Then again, it would be funny to see him be wrong, because she was convinced that he could never actually be mad at her. That meant she could be right AND not have him mad at her. Wasn’t this a sweet deal or what? ”Aww, that’s cute,” she said, and kinda wanted to pinch his cheeks. Instead, for the sake of his masculinity, she kissed in on her cheek. She would enjoy very much if they were different together. It sounded like something they would be good at.
”Of course!” she said excitedly with a broad smile. ”My mother loves to take pictures, absolutely loves it. I think should would have taken a picture of my first zit if I let her. I totally didn’t. But still. You know, first date, proms, halloweens, christmases. I swear, that woman could work for the FBI documenting crap,” she said. She was glad that the whole myth of vampires not being able to show up in pictures was wrong. That would make for one displeased little Lexi. She was a very photogenic girl who loved being in the spotlight and loved being in pictures. Her and her sister sometimes took vacations together, and taking pictures was one of the things they did to kill time when they had nothing else to do. Everyone loved pictures anyways. ”So, Mr. Griffin, do you have any halloween pictures? I can see you as being…hm…superman, perhaps? For my first halloween I was a pumpkin. I wanted to be a princess. I was so disappointed,” she said.
”That’s what my mommy said, though I have yet to believe either of you,” she sighed dramatically. She thought it would be amazing if the two matched. Yet again, her hopes and dreams were crushed. ”Then you must be a better student than I was. I was too busy thinking about the people in the class and who I should date next,” she admitted. There were some girls that needed to be slapped, rather than dated, and there were some boys that needed a good ten hour shower. But sometimes she’d find someone that would catch her attention. Except, until now, no one had ever caught her attention as much as Griffin had. And she didn’t think it was just the blood that was doing it. ”Okie dokie, artichokie,” she said and crapped a couple eggs into the frying pan. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Griffin grab a pancake. She swatted at his hand with the spatula and pretend to be displeased with him. ”Hey, wait just a minute, you. This is almost done,” she mock scolded. She didn’t care when he ate, as long as what she made was actually edible. It wasn’t like she could test the food or anything. ”There’s syrup in the cupboard if you want it. And a plate,” she said. She looked over the edge of the counter, opened the drawer, and grabbed a knife and fork for him. She finished cooking the eggs and then everything was done. ”Voila! Come and take whatever you want. Take all of it. I swear they can hear your stomach growling from Poland,” she said with a teasing wink.

" i don't know, me and poop don't go very well together " he explained to her. if he had to pick up after horses all day he didn't know what he would do. but it seemed like a pretty disgusting job, he felt bad for whoever had to do that. especially because lexi planned on having ten ponies, so ten times the work. but she did have a point, she would do well at her job. " well maybe one day you'll show me " he said with a smirk trying not to start laughing. " that will be interesting to see " he said honestly with a smile. he could imagine lexi trying to make everything he said correct no matter how off he really was. he wasn't sure how that would go but it would definitely be very entertaining for the both of them. she kissed him on the cheek and he wanted to very much kiss her again but he decided to wait for later when maybe he could get more then just a simple kiss from her.
when he brought up pictures she seemed to be excited. so hopefully this meant that she had many of them to show him. he laughed when she spoke about her mother, she seemed much more interesting then his mother. she was the type to take a few formal pictures and then stick them on a christmas card and she was done. " well you should go find these pictures so we can look them together " he told her hoping that maybe she had them in the house. to be able to look over lexi's photo albums with her would be something that griffin would be interested in seeing. he would get to learn more about her and maybe he'd get a peek at some embarrassing photos. but lexi seemed the type to not really care, she would probably make a joke about it then be embarrassed. then when the spotlight was turned onto him and his halloween photos he thought over what he had been over the years. " i might have a few photos. i was superman when i was like ten " he said not bothering to deny it. in his mind superman was the best of all superheros no matter what anybody else had to say about it. " i bet you made a cute pumpkin " he said with a grin imagining what she would look like now in a pumpkin suit. probably better then most girls would look, she seemed to work everything she wore.
" well hopefully one day you'll believe us " he told her as he smiled at how dramatic she was being. she must be pretty disappointed that her two favorite things didn't go well together. he thought about it and maybe if he was in the same type of situation she was in he'd be disappointed too. " i'm an okay student " he told her with a small shrug. even though he pretty much got straight a's it was because he worked to make sure it was that way. but that was before when he was determined to get away from his parents and go to any university as long as it was far. though at the moment he seemed to like the idea of staying in forks better as the day went on. now that there was actually something interesting here to keep his attention he thought looking at lexi. he watched while she cracked the eggs and they landed in the pan. watching her cook was making him pretty hungry, but she seemed to be almost done. that didn't stop him from snatching part of the pancake anyways. she attempted to swat at him with the spatula but he still got the food in his mouth and was happy about it. " it smells too good, i can't help myself " he admitted to her with a shrug.
if she wasn't such an amazing cook then maybe he wouldn't be this way. he was always picking at food when his mother was actually cooking, rarely but it happened sometimes. griffin stood up and went over to the cupboard like she said to find some syrup and a plate. opening it up he pulled out a plate then looked through the other cupboards for the syrup. walking over to her with two plates and some syrup he stopped for a moment when she told him to take it all. " aren't you going to eat? " he asked her curiously. he was now more interested in knowing wheter she was going to join him to eat then actually eating. griffin watched patiently as he waited for lexi to give him an answer.

”I don’t think it generally goes together very well with anyone,” Lexi said after a moment’s thought. Lexi tabbed her finger against her chin for a moment. ”I will have a robot. This robot can travel back in time with me to the princessy times and can shovel the horse poop, I can be credited for inventing such strange technology,” she said. It was a very good thing to decide upon, she supposed. Though, if they tried to behead her, she’d just keep on living. What a bummer that would be. Try to behead someone, then OH SHIT they’re still alive. But hopefully her little minions would love her enough not to burn her or kill her at all. ”Maybe. But first I’d actually have to find that weird outfit.”
”Wouldn’t be a problem at all,” she said with a grin. ”Ain’t you ever heard of a photo album? I have thirty,” she laughed. Okay, maybe that was a slight exaggeration, but she wouldn’t be surprised if she had at least three or four big ones. You know how they say for the younger sibling there aren’t as many pictures? Not true in Lexi’s case. Lexi laughed and smiled. She hit the nail on the head, did she? Most excellent. ”I think you would make the best superman ever. As long as the tights weren’t too tight. And of course! I made a damn cute pumpkin. I would have rather have a princess, that’s all,” she said with a grin. Because princesses got to wear tiaras and pretty things. Pumpkins were round and orange.
”I doubt it,” she sighed dramatically. She’d never really believe anything a human said about the taste of food anymore. It all just tasted bad. She briefly wondered what humans thought blood tasted like, but the thought of blood made her think of Griffin’s blood, then more bad thoughts. Oh dear. ”Okay is definitely better than me,” she grinned mischeviously. Of course, by letting Griffin skip a day of school, she probably wasn’t being a very good example for him, but oh well. Skipping school was much more fun. Lexi stuck her tongue out at him and pretended to be angry, but she figured that she was too amused to be properly angry with him anyways.
Lexi almost wanted to sigh but then she knew he’d probably ask why she was sighing in the first place. Boys. Humans. So innocent, so naive. She took one of the plates that was in his hands and put it in the sink. ”Nope,” she replied honestly. There was no point in sitting there eating something she’d just have to vomit back up later. ”Does it look like I eat anything?” she joked, referencing to her tiny body. Of course, even when she was a human she ate like a complete pig, but he didn’t know that. Oh well. Time to make up an excuse. Pie eating contest? No, she’d already won one of those. ”I’m going out to dinner with my friend, and we always go to a buffet. We generally don’t eat all day, just so we have room for everything,” she said as her excuse. She thought it was a pretty solid excuse. She loaded up Griffin’s plate with pancakes and eggs, then shooed him over to the table. ”Eat! You’re stomach rumbling is driving me crazy. I want to tell it to shut up,” she teased him, hoping that he would just eat. That would be beneficial to them both.
